He was their starting center, so it's not a trivial injury.

The Donks are in freefall... they're real lucky that this division is trash and they get to play the Chargers and Faid four times out of the year.

Is it just me or have there been far more training camp ACL tears this year than usual?

Agree ! And what I said yesterday in a thread.

Contrary to popular belief across the NFL media/fan base, I have a strong feeling that this season will not be kind to Elway Manning:D

Elway is being exposed for all his covering up that has eventually blown up in his face and his trust with donkey fans is not good right now.
Elway hides Tom Heckert's DUI he received back in May until a drunk Russell ran into a cop car that couldn't be hidden because of the severity of the DUI or else IMO Elway would have hidden Russell's DUI as well. Once the press out here realized that Elway hid Heckert's DUI they got to thinking what else is Elway and crew hiding ? Lo and behold Von Miller ! Elway has been hiding Von Miller's issues of failing 3 drug tests that involve 'weed and amphetamines' that actually started in Von's rookie year that have recently come out in the open now. And this last failed 3rd test happened weeks ago and is already in the appeal stage with Goodell which means Elway has been keeping this 'mums the word' until we have to reveal it. But looking back it was Russell's boner in Breckenridge that started the domino effect of exposing all this coverup crap.

Granted Elway can't totally control his staff or players "off the field crap" but it needs to be exposed immediately when it happens so as to not come off Nixoniesh to the public. The coverup is what always gets you. Somebody needs to give Elway some PR lessons on what to correctly do "when sh** hits the fan" for your company.

But it is enjoyable listening to all these pissed off and highly worried donkey fans begin to actually worry that their season may not get off to a fast start.

And now Koppen goes down-:hmmm:;)

You left out how Horseface cost his team Dumervil because he didn't know how to use a fax machine and then tried a last-minute switcheroo on his contract. Horseface is flat-out incompetent and still living off his glory days as a player of when the Donks were the biggest cheaters in football (salary cap cheating, Vaseline, Spygate-style taping).

The funny part is that they could have prevented most of this off the field crap to begin with IF they would have PR'd it the right way. When Von failed the first test you put the heat on him right away from the press. But no, and now they have paid a dear price of potentially 4 games without him as their O-line crumbles.

Report: Dan Koppen tore his ACL

Posted by Josh Alper on July 28, 2013, 4:16 PM EDT
Broncos Camp Football
AP
The Broncos may be in the market for some offensive line help.

As reported earlier, center Dan Koppen had to be carted off the field with an injury to his leg during Sunday’s practice. Koppen was taken for an MRI right after getting hurt and Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post reports that Koppen tore his ACL.

It’s a big blow for the Broncos, who re-signed with the team in June after center J.D. Walton had surgery on the ankle he broke in 2012. Koppen stepped in for Walton last year, making 12 starts, and was expected to do so again this year, but it would appear that we won’t be seeing him on the field until next season.

Manny Ramirez took over for Koppen on Sunday and he’s the only experienced option currently on the roster. Phillip Blake, a fourth-round choice in 2012, also plays center, but he missed almost all of his rookie season with a thumb injury. Complicating matters on the interior for the Broncos is the ongoing ankle and leg trouble that guard Chris Kuper has been experiencing since breaking his leg late in the 2011 season.

With protecting Peyton Manning as important as ever in Denver, the Broncos will likely be scouring the market for bodies to help them get through camp and beyond without further losses on the line.
That guy is multi-talented.

We need Denver, Oakland, and San Diego to be at their best. This division needs to get it's head out of it's ass.

The better everyone else is, the better the Chiefs will be.

Pablo 07-28-2013 03:18 PM

It doesn't matter if all of the starting linemen get injured and Miller gets suspended for the entire season; they're still winning the division.

An old, broke neck **** is still miles better than our QB and they're going to walk away with the division because of it.

But, I'd definitely take more Bronco injuries.

BossChief 07-28-2013 03:19 PM

Sucks for them. They had just lost JD Walton to an ankle injury, too...which he just had surgery on.

Jeff Saturday?

Pablo is correct.

Manning's line will get away with holding all year no matter who is playing. The NFL needs to protect one of their elite players at any cost.

Just once I would like to see the hold called for Hali in a game..........Manning wouldn't last a quarter.

GoChargers 07-28-2013 03:33 PM

Plus an elite quarterback can win with a mediocre-to-bad O-line, just look at the last four Super Bowls.

When they said the donkey heard a pop in his knee, I knew it was his ACL. I heard the same thing when I tore mine. And it's been a bitch of a recovery. So When I hear or see someone jack their knee, I cringe, then after hearing its a Bronco, I high fived a fellow KC fan;-)

Koppen was signed because JD Walton was having ankle issues, JD should be back by Oct or Nov. Guys like Manny Ramirez, Chris Kuper and Phillip Blake can fill in, it's not like they have to make the line calls with The Sheriff behind center.
