Chiefs play better on the road.

R Clark 01-12-2021 12:54 PM

More importantly why are chiefs fans selling them?

I work in Cleveland and can confirm Cleveland is just like those videos. Gray, cold and ugly every day. Food is basically just bland, vanilla versions of American food. Seems like everyone there smokes so I’m guessing they lost their sense of taste over time.

KC_Connection 01-12-2021 01:34 PM

I can't believe those videos were made like 12 years ago now.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-12-2021 01:44 PM

I used to watch all of thay guys comedy videos. I wonder what ever happened to him. "Man in the Box" was great, short little office space type you tube skits.

Megatron96 01-12-2021 02:27 PM

First playoffs for them in nearly 20 years. Plenty to be excited about and if I were a CLE fan, I'd probably have bought tickets for myself and a boatload of friends/family, rape the cost.

For them, this is literally a once in a lifetime thing. Most of their fans have never seen the Browns play a playoff game.

MahiMike 01-12-2021 03:14 PM

They know they can't stay here right?

Is this actually going to be a big problem?

Anyone local actually hearing what the ratio might be? I sure hope our fans aren't trying to make a quick buck when our team is trying to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

It's 16K fans, does it really matter?

I think it would be pretty discouraging for our guys to see more Browns fans than their own during a playoff game.

I mean is it going to determine the game? Obviously not, but it just looks bad for the organization. The Packers sold 9k tickets for their game and are not allowing resale. That’s kind of what I’d like to see in our situation.

It’s the playoffs, I’d prefer to have every advantage we can get.

Hey now, play nice -- Cleveland actually has VERY nice Suburbs, and some are very affluent! The videos you posted are of the inner-city -- and even parts of the inner-city is fine

......if you stay in very well lit areas
......and go home before nightfall.

Cleveland! I was asked by my company to relocate there. I said no. Boss said it wasn't the end of the world. I said maybe not but you can stand in the parking lot and see it.

I relocated for work, but I still fly home every weekend. People ask me why don’t I just move up there and my only response is “screw that”, although it’s probably still better than Detroit.

I lived in Detroit when asked to go to Cleveland. My wife was ready to kill me when we moved there.
Her request(demand) was to get her back to MO.

IowaHawkeyeChief 01-12-2021 07:50 PM

I've been to Cleveland many times over the last 20 years for work. It has gotten way better and a nice train from the airport to the city and typical nice suburbs. Like all cities it has its warts, but there are way worse cities. Baltimore is definitely way worse.

I mean I suppose, but there are other options. Drive for GrubHub or something to earn some extra cash. Would prefer not to see our title defending team playing a home playoff game and getting booed on their own field.

Oh well, hopefully it’s not as bad as people are saying.

They feel that they would have a significant crowd noise advantage into the field of 2000 that will be in arrowhead.

They're professionals, I'm sure they know what's up. The business office surely does and all they have to do is explain it. I just don't see it as being a big deal.

I live in Wisconsin and am not a season ticket holder.

If I was from the area and committed to buying tickets for the year, then yes I can assure you I would be attending the playoff game and not trying to flip the the ticket for profit to opposing fans.

joethomas 01-13-2021 08:37 AM

They just saw the Cavs win a title a few years ago and they appeared in the Finals several years in a row. The Cleveland Baseball Team was just in the World Series in the last couple of years. It's only the Browns that have consistently been bad. There are several cities that have more tortured sports fans today.

That Believeland 30 for 30 was great.

Buffalo fans have had it much worse.

They saw their Bills play in four consecutive Super Bowls, and the Sabres played in two Stanley cups in 1975 and 1999. I dont know if that truly classifies as worse.

That's what we said for a couple of decades. Then we won one, with Patrick Mahomes no less. ;)

joethomas 01-13-2021 11:55 AM

Bills fans have an argument but if you think about it the Vikings fans are probably the worst off. 4 super bowl losses, no appearances since the 70s. Twins irrelevant for 30 years. NBA and NHL teams, nothing ever. And they have a university there that sucks too.

All season ticket holders had their tickets revoked this year. Anybody who wants to pay triple price for tickets may do so. Travel is cheap so the airline ticket should be a drop in the bucket compared to the game tickets if you still want to make it to some playoff games and represent.

PutQuinnIn 01-15-2021 10:27 AM
