****Official Divisional Round Thread****
Saturday Baltimore Ravens @ Denver Broncos(-9.5) Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers(-2.5) Sunday Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons(-2.5) Houston Texans @ New England Patriots(-9.5) http://i.imgur.com/D3ebd.gif |
I think there is only one team in the AFC now that can beat the Neckbones.... And that's the Patriots.
Convince me I am wrong and why. |

This is where we should be in a maximum of 3 years.

I just want him knocked out of the game and one year closer to retirement.... I can't stand his ass but he has worked so damn hard to be so good, how can you not have respect for a guy like that. I just hate the Donks |
If you hope that Denver gets beat by the Ravens, good luck.
Hope in one hand and shit in the other. I bet you itch your nose with the latter. |

I sure as hell wouldn't bet on this game, that's for sure. |

Now, the Ravens are in their house with Revenge on their minds. Should be a good game. |

I also hope my CoMoMoJo is still full strength. |
I ****ing hate the ray Lewis dance. It will be nice to never see it again.

The Ravens are 9.5 point underdogs! I just don't see that either. I see close game that could go either way. No way they get blown out in Pile High.
|
Denver will win by 10+

Should be a good game and a close score. Denver has a great defense, many are just focusing on the Ravens defense.
Flacco on the road against that defense... it will not be easy by any means. My revised prediction... Broncos 27 Ravens 20 Enjoy |
Peyton Manning on one side against a defense that doesn't really bring pressure, and Joe Flacco on the other side, against two good pass rushers?
Yeah, I'm not seeing an upset in the works. This is a passing league. Ray Rice isn't going to lead the Ravens to a SB. Joe Flacco has been mediocre in the playoffs, with a couple of good games mixed in. |
|
I could see Peyton choking against a team with a good pass rushing defense.
The Ravens don't match up in any way to the Broncos. The Broncos could win this game with Matt Schaub at QB. Their defense represents WAY too much of a challenge for the Ravens. I'd pick the Broncos with any competent QB to win this game, let alone Peyton Manning. This is a laugher, I promise. |
Alot of my posts today are trolling, but I do think you underestimate the Ravens though.
|
I think the Ravens are one of the worst playoff teams I've ever seen (other than the Colts this year)
If I had the choice between Flacco, Cassel or running the wildcat all game I'd seriously consider wildcat. defense is aging, none of their pass rushers scare me, they have JIM CALDWELL at offensive coordinator... I have big money riding on Denver to get to the Super Bowl and today, I'm not nervous one bit (next week is a different story). I've never been more sure of anything. This game is going to be one of those 'wow I never at any moment feared Denver was going to lose this game' kind of games. NOW, FULL DISCLAIMER a few years ago when the Jets beat the Patriots I felt the same way (in the playoffs) and it lost me a lot of $$$ BUT STILL -Hootie, always the opinionated |
That's my point. It's the NFL and that's what makes it great. Special Teams TD, fluke fumble, tipped pass....
How much money do you have on the line? |
well I always talk about bounces and the Ravens are going to need at least 3
|
this is, IMO, the most talented team Peyton has ever had and by leaps and bounds
|
Dude, they would have had a undefeated regular season one year if they didn't rest guys.
|
they won 11 in a row by 7+ this year after they stopped with the huddle bullshit McCoy tried to throw on Peyton
and Denver's defense is AWESOME |
I already got the "wait until Baltimore" with Denver the first time...a game in which they won as easily as they beat us in week 17
|
ROFL Are Hootie and Knowmo the same person?
|
Duke's about to lose
Go 49ers, Ravens, Seahawks, and Texans! |

That will always make a good D look great. |

I respect QB play...and Peyton is the best QB I've ever seen play. Can't help to admire.
|
Yeah, I know Capn Hoot loves him some Peyton, but damn he's making them out to be some unbeatable juggernaut and that's not reality at all. Especially today's NFL, their is no such thing.
|
Hoping for the Ravens, but I don't see them getting it done. Peyton tore them a new one in Baltimore.

Unfortunately for Peyton, he happens to play for the Scum of the Earth franchise. |

Denver D: #2 New England O: #1 New England D: #26 Why didn't New England's offense make their defense look great? |
Green Bay needs to lose today so the hiring of John Dorsey can be completed (YES, I know the Chiefs can hire him even if Green Bay is still alive in the playoffs, I know that has been discussed 8 million times on this message board in the past week).
However Green Bay losing will eliminate any roadblocks, excuses, etc. for getting a deal completed to hire Dorsey. |

they played the Jets, Dolphins and Bills.
That's almost as bad as the Chargers, Chiefs, Raiders. |

Quit ****ing nuthugging the donkeys. As a Chiefs fan, you should be ashamed of yourself. |

Peyton played on a team in Indianapolis that would've went undefeated in the regular season had they not pulled their starters in game 15. Undefeated. Something that's only happened 4 times in the history of the NFL and twice in the modern era. Denver just went 13-3 against maybe the weakest AFC group of teams in a long time. |
The sooner the donks are out of the playoffs the better. You can't go into a football thread without Hootie spitting fivehead's man juice out of his ****ing mouth.

Heck, even Denver and New England lost every game they played against an NFC playoff team. The Niners blew New England off the field. Really the Falcons whipped Denver too, but both teams fell asleep in the 2nd half. The AFC is terrible. People acting like Denver or New England have accomplished anything great are out of their mind.
|
Yes, I admit it's pretty pathetic but I've ALWAYS been a Peyton Manning fan. Well, I used to think he sucked up until that 2003 playoff game at Arrowhead where I watched him and after I cried myself to sleep for a week I thought to myself "holy shit, that's the best QB I've ever freaking seen in my life..."
|
|
Hootie might have died of a heart attack if Peyton came here.

in fact, there is an archived meltdown thread on this site from that very game not to mention I'm pretty sure they pulled out A LOT OF GAMES that year at the very end...they didn't go on any 11 game, 7+ points winning streaks. Honestly, go rewatch their losses this year. They fell down HUGE early and Peyton almost brought them back each and every time (one game ended because of a McGahee fumble)... what was the common theme in those games early on? (other than the Atlanta game) THEY DITCHED THE DUMBASS MCCOY ATTEMPT TO RUN PEYTON FROM A HUDDLE OFFENSE. They ditched it right after they fell down 24-0 to San Diego and Peyton brought them back to win 35-24. After that, they quit...and since, they haven't had ONE close game. |
If the Chiefs had signed Peyton his atrophy would've probably returned and Matt Cassel would've probably finished the season. That's our luck.

meltdown city |
it the Chiefs landed Peyton Scott would have been here another 5 years and the Chiefs would be hosting Baltimore today in the playoffs at Arrowhead
|
Think I'll watch the Donkie game muted and if it starts to get out of control I'm switching it to reruns of The Andy Griffith show.
I hate Peyton and the F****** Donkies. The only way I watch is IF they have a chance to lose. |

I hope fivehead's neck is brittle and Ray Ray snaps that giant ****ing noggin off and spikes it on the field. |
Quote:
and if it is Peyton I'll avatar bet you the Broncos win it I won't bet on Tom against the 49ers, but anyone else I'll bet with you on Tom as well |
Ravens 24 Denver 17
Packers 28 49ers 17 |

I want to see Ray Lewis standing at the 50 in Denver with Manning's spine in his hand.
|
Quote:
I think they can still get to the Super Bowl. But to sit here and say they're a better team and have had a better season than a team that should've gone undefeated is insane. Completely stupid. |
the people picking the Ravens are hilarious
I think the only check mark they get is at kicker...I won't even give them the coaching check mark since Peyton is basically his own offensive coach and that certainly trumps Jim ****ing Caldwell (as much as I like Harbaugh) BUT LETS PREDICT A BALTIMORE WIN AT DENVER. I think anyone who predicts Baltimore to win is a ****ing moron. 100% anyone predicting a Baltimore win has a football IQ of less than Frankie |
Quote:
Also, what does that have to do with the offense making the defense look great? |
Baltimore
Green Bay Seattle Houston ...so basically, **** the home teams. |
Quote:
We just don't think it'll be so easy for Denver. |
Quote:
They had EIGHT 1 score finishes through FOURTEEN weeks. Sure, they were 14-0. Sure, they COULD HAVE and SHOULD HAVE went undefeated after they pulled all of those close games out. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelo...peyton-manning not to mention, half of those one score games were against competition similar to what you speak of when it comes to 'shitty competition' this year. That 14-0 team in NO WAY compared to Brady's undefeated team. |
And if you are curious, the current temp in Denver is 8 degrees. Wind chill is -2.
|
Quote:
can we put money on this? |
Quote:
I'd totally agree they were not as good as the 2007 Patriots, but who cares? If going undefeated was easy it would happen all the time. It's only happened once in the last 40 years. They were good enough to do it. |
here's what I compare this dipshittery to
you're one of the captains in a pickup basketball game you have the choice between a pocket protector wearing midget in flip flops or a big, strong, chiseled black man and you choose the midget that's what a lot of you are doing right now and that's why I call you IDIOTS |
Whisenhunt as Denvers OC? Interesting.

I'm saying with Peyton QB'ing BOTH teams I'd take THIS Denver team over THAT Indy team TODAY perhaps I'm wrong, but it isn't NEARLY as cut and dry as you are making it AS EVIDENCED by my link with 8 1 score games in 14 games the Broncos haven't had a 1 score game in almost 3 months that means nothing to you? are you just plugging your ears and screaming 'la la la' because you know I'm right? |
Quote:
I expect an apology from you in my Inbox within a fortnight. |
and I'd also take Demaryius Thomas over ANY weapon Manning has ever had and would take Thomas/Decker (even though Wayne > Decker) over Harrison/Wayne
I'd also take Von Miller/Elvis Dumervill over Freeney/Mathis and I'd say a healthy Sanders is a wash with Champ, but I'd lean Champ and I'll take Denver's offensive line over most of Indy's line sans the early years |
