New Netflix Additions
Netflix is killing it the last couple weeks.
Here are a few new shows they got the rights to: Live Action Revolution, Fringe, The West Wing, Chuck, Childrens Hospital, The Following, 666 Park Avenue, Longmire, Political Animals Cartoons Regular Show, Adventure Time, Robot Chicken, The Boondocks, Aqua Teen, Johnny Bravo, Ben 10, Green Lantern Now I know some of those Live Action shows are 1 and done seasons, but Fringe, The West Wing, Chuck, Regular Show, Adventure Time are ****ing huge gets by Netflix. That $8 is a great value and I hope it doesn't rise any time soon. |
Netflix has always been a good value. Didn't know about Aqua Teens being added that is great.

Like for some reason everyone thinks they are entitled to the complete history of tv and film for under 10 bucks. |

I used just the online version and wasn't impressed, canceled at the end of my free month.. this was about a year ago or so, but I have been thinking about giving it another shot and canceling showtime and HBO etc.
|
Okay, so also not originally listed in the OP are Ben 10 (not sure what it is), Childrens Hospital (****ing funny and full of a lot of Alt Comedians), and Green Lantern (I think it's an animated series).

They also must have struck a deal with Disney. Ive been noticeing alot of older Disney titles from the 80s and 90s pop up.
ive always thought Netflix was a good deal. redbox is starting up a competing streaming service. Got an email yesterday to sign up. |

And I love me some Johnny Bravo. |
Wish they would add more dexter

Recently I've watched Warrior and The Grey on Netflix. Both pretty great films.

NetFlix and Roku, no cable or satellite.

I'm wondering the same thing.

Get a roku box, netflix, and Hulu and you really could get rid of cable/satellite.

I'd recommend a Sony Blu Ray before a Roku or any other box. At least you'll have a Blu Ray players. Oh, and I disagree with your assumption. I'll never get rid of Direct TV and all of its channels. AT&T, Time Warner, Cox and the internet aren't even a close second. More like 1,041. |
I get to watch Chuck from the beginning again. WINNING

a blue ray player one old video game system a Roku a VCR The piece of furniture holding all of this marvelous technology is against a side wall of our living room. If you've stopped laughing long enough to continue reading yet, we do still have a couple of movie rental places in town that carry old VHS tapes so I left the VCR hooked up. |

I have to decide between spending $26 a month on just internet, or adding a cable box for the rest of the College Basketball season and split the TV cost with my roommate which would be about an extra $30 a month. I think I'll do without and just hit the sports bars for the Aztecs games. |
Have they improved the software yet? (ie searches, organization, personalizing)
|
How much is Netflix per month? I really want it and how would I get the american version if I'm in Canada?

And the online selection still sucks (not that their DVD selection is much better.) |

The user-interface is my #1 beef with Netflix, but it might be my only complaint. |
Quote:
Right now my problem is the PS3 not working with sites requiring different plugins/apps... |
I'd sign up for justified.

Get really drunk (or stoned if you're inclined) and watch fritz the cat

Their interface imo is fine on xbox and my kindle fire. my Sony Blu Ray player interface sucks ass, but it works. |
Netflix has always been an amazing deal, even when they raised prices and split streaming..
Anyone that complains about, it is a cheap worthless ****.. Even back then, they had a ton of tv shows.. I am sorry, but it is impossible for them to get everything new.. If they did you would be paying cable like prices per month... Dvd + streaming is pure gold and can save you a ton if you want to drop satellite/cable.. |

I do miss the original search features it had years ago. It was way better then what it is now.. I also wish they would get rid of the 5stars rating, go from 0-10.. |

I watched all five seasons of Friday Night Lights on Netflix. Great show, btw. I just wish the Simpsons were on NetFlix. They have Family Guy...Matt Groening probably wants too much money?
Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie is on there, but not Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job! |
Looks like they also are premeiring a new original series next month. Hemlock Grove from Eli Roth

Yeah Netflix is ok with tv shows and documentaries for the most part, but god damn they NEVER have the movie I want to watch. ****ing EVER. Every single time I think of a movie I'd like to watch, I search for it and "unavailable". It's bullshit. And I like a lot of shitty movies, so it's not just the modern hits. It's literally movies of all varieties.
