Does anyone have the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie grill?
How do you like it? Pros vs. cons? Recepies? Advice? Etc.

I don't have one, but I heard you can "set it, and forget it".

I wonder if you get any coin, for sitting in the audience of those info-mmercials?
|
I'm going to make a rotisserie chicken first. I think I'll inject it with some cajun seasoning too.
|
It works nicely. It's just a rotessirie. Outdoor rotesserie is probably best .
Chickens good . Made a rib roast also. |
My mom sent me the Foreman rotisserie a few months ago. We used it once and packed it up. Not worth the effort.

Recipes?
Don't they all pretty much consist of "Shove the stick-thing through the dead animal part, mount the stick-thing inside the big plastic box-thing, set it and forget it."? |
Those are too complicated. I never can remember how long to forget it. What.. ...a week....a month?
|
I have one - love it when I use it, but not all that often. I will say that it is easy to use and easy to clean.
I've made chicken, pork roast, pork loin, buffalo ribs, prime rib. I can't think of anything else. If you make it a point to use it, it would be worth it. The chicken Rocks. Get Emeril chicken cajun rub. Awesone. |
It's a wonderful product! If you read the directions and use it correctly you'll fund it produces the best poultry and pork you've ever had. It makes fantastic baked potatoes too.

If there was an issue with performance I can get someone in Customer Service to send you a new one if you let me know where she bought it... We have sold a large number of them and had a few complaints, but most were product issues. If anyone has issues with a Foreman product, let me know. mmaddog ******* |

I got the Showtime last year. Used it the first day I got it and it worked great. You sometimes wonder if it really is that easy to jam the turkey on those spikes or if it really is that easy getting the bird in and out of the rotisserie, but it was surprisingly easy to use and the results were great.
But, like others said, it is a bigger hassle to use than just shoving something into the oven, which explains why we never used it again. |

I have one and I love it. I've made Chicken, Prime Rib, and a few other things. The Chicken is awsome, much better than anything I've been able to make in the oven.

That pocket fisherman thing was a great idea.

Ronco Rotisserie rules. I got one a couple years back and have probably used it close to a 150 times since. 5 minute setup and 5 minute cleanup works for me. Cooks way better than the oven. I use it primarily for roasting chickens and hind pork shanks but occasionally use it for roasting leg of lamb or prime rib and a few other things. Tonight I have an 8 pound organic chicken going on that bad boy and will be using the steamer accessory for some organic soycatash.

Well, this thread is certainly the sign of the times
for KC fans. What else can be hashed out on the week before our last game of the season... |
