Chiefs Kingdom: Joe Delaney
Would have been nice to have them put this together a few years ago, but better late than never.

Most newer folks don't even understand the connection.....
|
Pretty awesome piece.
|
Nice
|
Joe Delaney one of the CHIEFS Greats.
|
Joe Delaney was every bit as good as Jamaal Charles. That's not a knock on Jamaal Charles, who I think is the second best running back in the NFL today.
Delaney was that good. His death was tragic. |
It's because of guys like Delaney who were building blocks of a storied history. They will continue to withstand the erosion of time. It's the guys like Pioli that wash away with a single flush.
|
Holy Jesus.
I can't take too much of that. Wow. FAX |
Nice piece. It's interesting that if it wasn't for Joe and his legacy I wouldn't have met many of you in person and developed great friendships. Joe had a bigger effect on lives than many will ever know.
|
Wow. I'm choked up. Lot's of great memories watching that vid. Thanks:deevee:
|
Wow. That was very well done.

I saw this 2 days ago, was going to link it but the wife called me to her side for something, I forgot to do it.
Thanks Bob for catching this. 37Forever |

congrats clark ur still a ball washer
|
It would have been intresting to see the Chiefs offense if Joe hadn't died and they drafted Marino instead of Blackledge. Marino, Delaney, Carlos Carson, Henry Marshall. Damn. That is Rams of 1999 or pretty close.
|
Very moving, thanks for sharing for those of us who never saw him play.
|
I take this as a sign that Peeholi is gone.
|
That was great and I really forgot how awesome he was!
 |
John Amos from Good Times is a Chiefs fan? He makes an appearance at 1:12

According to the mythology, Stram told him he wasn't a football player, he was just a dude trying to play football ... or words to that effect. FAX |
Wow, Delaney was like McCluster size.

What a nice video. I knew nothing of Delaney.
|
My dad told me this story since he was from down around that way. Delaney was one of a kind. ...
That red on red practice uni was nice... |
Nicely put together. Comparing McCluster to him made me LMAO though.
|
Awesome, although I almost threw up when I saw Dan Rather, the "hey I make shit up" guy.
|
Just ****ing AWESOME.....
JD will always be in my top 10...... |

Wow. I'll agree with those who said this was very well done. Do the Chiefs produce this stuff? There were clips in there also, that I've never seen before. Joe was just about the ultimate "what could have been" story.
Greater love hath no man... |
Damn, that was good, brought a few tears to the eye all this time later.
The first time a celebrity death ever hit home for me... that park should've been finished a long time ago. But McCluster is the guy who they want to compare him to? reeeally?... thats my only gripe with this otherwise outstanding piece. |

One other thing i think they should of put the spotlight on the 37 forever foundation those people brought back the legacy of joe. Also to put him up with the immortals of the chiefs ring of honor. Also it got really misty in my room here.
|
Well done. Thanks for posting this link. |
