Say hello to your new feature back, Le'ron McClain....

Mike Cox to work out for Kansas City Chiefs Tuesday Quote:

Mike Hunt will be pleased.

Mike Cox is the best available? JFC.
|
...sad.
|
You can't suck without Cox
|
|
Le'ron "Night Train" McClain. I hope he at least can hold onto the ball.

LeRon McClain might not be a bad FF pickup. You know damn well that the Chiefs are going to run the shit out of the ball.

I'd be happy if Cox blocked for McClain.

ring ring ring
Mike Cox: Hello? Ray Farmer: Mike, this is Ray Farmer with the Kansas City Chiefs. We'd like for you to come in this week. We have a roster spot opening. Mike Cox: Gee, I don't know. I'm pretty busy right now. Can I call you back? |
This is going to be a long season. I like McClain, I think he'll be fine as the feature HB, but Cox is awful as a weapon and his blocking isn't much better.

To tha Lifeboat!

Do the Chiefs now have the slowest running back corp in the league?
Like the opposing defenses didn't stack the line enough as it was. |

No reason to over commit to the run. Good luck, Matt. |

Mike Cox better not keep us from getting Lucky.

Le'ron looks like Bam Morrie to me when he's in his gear. Just a random thought.
Well shoot. I wanted Tomas Jones to be the feature starter because he's horrible but what can you do. |
Kimble Anders will come out of retirement. You heard it here first.
|
Is it the Chiefs just feel comfortable with "their" guys, or nobody wants to come play for this trainwreck of a team?

Oh, and for you Clark Hunt haters, I'm sure Cox is a super cheap pickup. |
I would guess that McClain, Jones and McCluster are going to roughly split the carries.
The only thing that makes me think differently is that they may cut McCluster way back on touches, since he fumbles once every 18 times he touches the ball. That is a disaster. |
Mike Cox isn't turning down the phone call, he'll be happy to come earn a check before going to work at Uncle Bud's Roofing Co.
|
Has anyone nicknamed him no gain Mcclain yet? That's what I've started calling him.

He can't be worse than "The Illusive Thomas Jones."

Make Cox the feature back. Suck 4 Luck.

I thought McCluster.....oh never mind...

I would have liked them to scour the practice squads for a young back with promise but bringing Cox back gets us another step closer to Luck, so that works too.

I'd say what this means is that McClain will get more carries than normal and needs an insurance policy. We saw that on Sunday. It might also mean they can't find a decent replacement at halfback.
|
Cox can catch & probably can't outrun Cassel's arm
|
Great...just ****ing great...so in addition to sucking. the chiefs are going to break Mike Cox before the end of the season too.
|
Man this season BLOWS!!!

Im fine with it, I'd rather Mcclain get the ball than any one of our RB's right now. The time in Baltimore where they gave him a majority of the carries, he was sucking the dick of a 1000 yard season recently. Hes the best RB we have on the roster right now.
|
I'd rather they look at another RB like say Mike Bell or whoever. If they go the FB route i'd rather see Bannon promoted from the PS than Cox resigned. Reshawn Jackson is a FA FB that had some skill coming out of college. I'd rather they look at someone else as Cox isn't that great of a lead blocker and offers little else.
Looking forward to seeing McClain get some more work at RB. Maybe with Becht being able to handle some of the FB duties they could look to a 3rd TE, hopefully one that can stretch the field more than the other 2 on the roster. |
