Roddy White brother shot to death

Tyrone Moore Jr., the half-brother of Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Roddy White, was shot to death outside a James Island, S.C., nightclub early Saturday, according to the (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier.

Authorities were dispatched to the Lake House Club for a report of a shooting. Witnesses reportedly told deputies that several shots had been fired and Moore was wounded. The 21-year-old was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson.

Detectives are still searching for suspects and a motive, according to the website.

Both White and Moore were raised by their mother on James Island outside Charleston. White, 32, attended James Island Charter High School and was drafted in the first round by the Falcons in 2005. He is a four-time Pro Bowler, with 55 career receiving touchdowns.

Falcons team owner Arthur Blank released a statement expressing sympathy.

"We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy's brother Tyrone. Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances," said the release. "On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family."

Good grief, how can a multi-millionaires brother get caught up in some BS like this?

Apparently some guys would rather use that kind of leverage to get over instead of getting right, its real hard to feel sorry...

alpha_omega 05-18-2014 09:09 PM

Good statement from the owner.

This post is just dumb for several reasons.
Based on the article in the OP how did you decide that he was caught up in some BS?
What does his half-brother's finances have to do with this?
What "leverage to get over instead of getting right" are you talking about?

You're making quite a lot of assumptions here. Are you sure you aren't just thinking that because this was at a nightclub?

WTF do you think? You should try using your brain for once instead of flocking to issues like this and playing dumb. You're as predictable as they come. Be selective and choose your issues to defend, you and your idols will have better success.

You should try to not be so angry. I'm sure it was an innocent statement that you turned into a mountain from a mole hill.

The fact that he got shot is indicative that he was caught up in some BS. Second, the fact that his brother has gazillion dollars would be a cue to think that he could probably go to a night club that doesn't run a risk of getting shot.

I don't have a problem with stereotyping and generalizations in jest, as was my intention.

Obviously they're not always correct and are often over simplified but stereotype away if you think it can make someone laugh.

Athletes just make it news worthy some how.
It is a lot more common for siblings to have different fathers. Like it or not, it is what the majority of our society is doing.
I would bet that it is 25% or less of siblings have the same mother and father.

In large portions of Missoura, siblings often are the mother and father, so that makes things easier in a way.

For all we know he was exiting a club with a girlfriend and was hit by a stray bullet. I don't have nearly enough information to draw such conclusions.

Except every report except this one states there was an altercation.
"
At 2:51 a.m. Saturday, deputies was dispatched to 222 Mosquito Beach Road for a report of a shooting, Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson said.
Arriving deputies were told that some type of altercation occurred in front of the Lake House Club on Mosquito Beach. Witnesses told deputies that several gunshots were fired and Moore was shot. He was rushed to Medical University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Watson said.
Detectives are still looking for suspects and a motive in the shooting."

Unless you live off the grid, I’m sure you’ve heard of the NBA’s proposed lifetime ban and $2.5 million fine for Donald Sterling over racist remarks he made during a private telephone call. But you might not remember another NBA owner, a black man, held a private party in which whites weren’t allowed. The NBA did nothing. There was no outrage, fines, or proposed ban.

Katipan 05-20-2014 12:34 PM

Excellent example of the double standard that exists. It doesn't fit the agenda so it will get no play. Plus Jay Z is way cooler than Donald Sterling...

Probably because there's a complete lack of any real proof that any of this actually happened.
