The fact is that the Royals don't have an excess of talent that they can trade for anyone who is better than what they have. Their only real hope is that guys like Hosmer, Moose and Perez all become stars very quickly, and that Butler and Gordon bounce back to last year's form.

I loved watching his play in the out-field, but he was brutal at the plate. He had absolutely no patience at the plate swinging at everything so pitchers would throw him junk every pitch. It seems he never got ahead in the count or walked it was usually a strike-out or pop foul.
