Where Are They Now? - Kimble Anders
<table>
<tr> <td> <img src="http://www.manc.edu/athletics/football/stats/photos/staff36.jpg" border=2 hspace=5> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="150"> <i><em><center>From the NFL to...Mid America Nazarene? (<i>Photo source <a href="http://www.manc.edu/athletics/football/coaches.phtml">here</a></i>) </center></em></i> </td> </tr> </table> Kimble Anders, who played for the Chiefs from 1991 to 2000, earned three trips to the Pro Bowl during his tenure. Anders was a pretty quiet and as far as I can tell a private guy so it was encouraging to find out what he is up to today. Anders is the <a href="http://www.manc.edu/athletics/football/coaches.phtml">running backs coach</a> for the Mid-America Nazarene University in <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=olathe,+ks&ie=UTF8&z=12&ll=38.888361,-94.818878&spn=0.119453,0.346069&om=1">Olathe, KS</a>. Anders couldn't even get his own email address and has to settle for athletics@manc.edu. He has to share it with the QB coach, <a href="http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12632">Jonathan Quinn</a>. What a crappy deal. <p> Cross posted at <a href="http://www.arrowheadpride.com">Arrowhead Pride</a> |
The mighty Quinn is coaching with him too? Huh, interesting
i always thought kimble was a class act. hope all is well with him.
I'm a student at Mid America and I played soccer, just about everyday after practice I would see him on the practice field.
Quinn is currently taking part in The Brigade's training camp...
Here's an article when the signed him. http://www.arenafootball.com/ViewArt...DB_OEM_ID=3500 |
I thought one of the saddest moments in Chiefs history is when Anders had that career-high day rushing the ball and then tore his achilles tendon without even being touched.

so how many people are going to flood him with e-mails now?
Kimble has always been one of my favorite Chiefs.
I love hearing about what players are up to now.... hopefully these guys put some money away during their playing days... I bet they aren't making 20,000 a year now
Anders was always one of my favorites. What a great FB. The Nazarene got a great guy.
Glad Kimble Andres and Quinn found FB work after leaving Chiefs. better than 'designing clothes'.

He lived right next to me for a long time while he was playing...he was very nice but like the article said very quiet...he used to let all of us neighborhood kids come and play football in his backyard. He would come out and run around every now and again.
He's a good guy. Still pretty humble.

Fullbacks in KC have been good people. Hope Mr. Anders does well post-NFL!

My niece played on an aau team with his daughter. I found myself sitting in the stands having this normal conversation about basketball and coaching with him, and inside I was freaking out because Kimble Anders is one of my top 5 favorite Chiefs ever.
He and his wife are some of the nicest people I have met. |
