New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith will miss six to 10 weeks after suffering a broken jaw in a locker-room altercation.

Coach Todd Bowles said Smith was hit by linebacker IK Enemkpali on Tuesday morning.

Bowles said Smith was "sucker-punched" by the linebacker. The quarterback will undergo surgery, he said.

Enemkpali has been released by the team, Bowles said.

Doesn't sound like Murray will be ready, so if KC really wants to make a deep run, it might be best to hold onto Daniel for the remaining year. I don't see Daniel being able to sustain wins for long, but he could win a game or two out of 4, and keep KC alive, if Smith goes down.
