And this friends, is why I step up and invest in NFL Sunday Ticket.
|
Any local St. Joe folks with Suddenlink? Since FOX 4 KC is now gone.... Where will the game be broadcast?
|
Des Moines is getting the Chiefs game according to the station, which this map doesn't represent.

Updated map

No Gus on opening day is just WRONG

Direct TV has free preview this weekend for the Sunday Ticket.
|
They should do a free preview on the PS3.

It's so nice to be out of Arizona so I don't have to watch the Cardinals in the late game each week.

I had a hard time believing they were actually going to show the Saints/Redskins in ****ing Des Moines, IA. Especially since this is 1 of 2 or 3 chances they usually get ALL YEAR to show the Chiefs in a large Chiefs market. |

Hate those stupid ****ing rules or the Chiefs would be on in Nashville probably.

Didn't someone have a stream available for Chiefs games last year where you could contribute financially to help with the costs?
You had to have a certain number of posts in order to get the info as best as I can remember. |
**** THAT SHIT

You will figure out why after you check it out. http://www.tvfool.com/index.php?opti...d=67&Itemid=95 Use this link at that site... http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29 If you need more help than this, let me know. PS - The HD reception on one of these bad boys is better than the cable or satellite too. |

Bump. I can't find out any information about our local FOX station carrying this game. Anybody?

I was kind of planning on an attic antenna. |

Sunday Ticket HELL YAH!

I am glad those days are over |
Damn, I remember the dark ages before the Sunday ticket. Scrambling around, looking for streams on the internet that never worked right or random sports bars that might have the KC game on a little tv in the corner with no volume. That $199 a year is worth every penny.

Not sure how far you are from KC, but if you look at the Channel Master links at the top of the ones I posted, they have several antennas to choose from that would probably work in an attic. The key is the preamplifier. Get one of those. Money well spent. |

Nice going. I'm sure central Iowa is more interested in Washington/NewOrleans than watching a mid-west team. :# Assholes! |

Even though our place is 50 miles south, and about 15 west of Springfield, I am going to need to aim the antenna almost due east for most stations. I had been trying NNE. I can't wait to get back down there to try it all out. Oh, and we will have DTV also, but I don't want it all over the house. It just doesn't make sense for two people to pay over $150 a month to DTV to me. We will have 5 sets hooked up, but only two on DTV. Right now we have DTV down there, but it doesn't have local stations, since they are counting it as our 3rd set from here in Illinois. I can't wait to get away from this Sunday Ticket robbery (don't care to watch other games) and be able to get Royals games when they aren't beating up on the White Sox. |
Quote:
I hope it works for you. I love mine. And you probably already know this, but point the small end of the antenna towards the station, not the wide end. |

I read some of the reviews listed with the link you have for your antenna. It sounds like it should be a very good antenna. I'll be interested to see how it works for you. And, sorry about the PM. I didn't even notice I had one. |

I was tetering between this style and the big one like you have. My goal was to put it in the attic, but I think that may be out, but we will see once we get the amp etc. It is odd looking, in fact it reminds me of those old UHF bowtie antennas that went along with the rabbit ears. This stuff has all changed so much with the advent of the digital broadcasts and we are having to use one of those Radio Shack converters as well. |

http://forum.tvfool.com/forumdisplay.php?f=7 from that tvfool link is very good at answering questions you may have. I used it a time or two, and everything they told me worked to perfection. If you need to use it, read the first sticky that pertains to guidelines for asking a question, and these guys should be able to get you what you want. |

Another thing. And maybe you already know this, but just in case...
I am not sure what type of TV you have, but on mine, once I had the antenna hooked up, and aimed at... say Omaha... I have to go into my TV menu to the Channel feature. In that channel feature there a couple of links. One is Auto Program, and the other one is Add Digital Channels. Myself, I use the Add Digital Channels. It works like the Auto Program for that specific direction only. Then, when I move the antenna towards... say Topeka... go back to that same feature and take it through the Add Digital Channels again. And it should add all the stations in that direction without deleting the Omaha Channels. If you would use the Auto Program feature insetead, the Omaha stations that were previously programmed in would be wiped out. EDIT: I also have two TV's hooked up to the antenna with a dual amp splitter. And both of my TV's are Sony Bravia's. One is a 55" the other a 41". I had to program each TV to pull in stations. The 55" one will pull in stations much, much easier than the 41" one will. And it is a couple of years older (about 5 years old) than the 41" set. Doesn't make much sense to me since they are both the same brand. |
HOw does that thing hold up in the wind? That was our big problem last year even with an attic antenna. The wind hitting the trees just screwed everything up,.

I am hoping that will suffice for a while, until we add the planned sets for down there at the time of the big move. |
