KU fan here. Very nice find. That's awesome. Anderson, Drew and Martin are kick ass and deserve that top 25 credit.

Because no one in their right mind gives a flying shit about MU basketball.

The shitty Nebraska team has beat Mizzou atleast once the past few years.

The last time Missouri and Nebraska played, Nebraska had it's best shooting day of the season from 3-point range, and Missouri cam in overlooking a team it had easily handled twice already that season. Congrats.

As for Sadler, he'd be a top 25 coach if recruiting wasn't part of the equation. He's a good defensive coach who gets his team to play hard. He just can't get much talent to Lincoln. But what do you expect when recruiting to a school that has never won an NCAA tourney game?

As for the Tigers ...

I have high hopes/expectations. This should be the deepest and most talented team Anderson has had in Columbia, even without Tony Mitchell.

I think Phil Pressey is going to be a really nice addition, and like the quickness and penetration ability coming from the PG position with Dixon and PP handling the spot.

Ratliffe looks like a perfect fit at the 5, and has the potential to add a dimension that was not present last year. Looking forward to he and Bowers teaming up inside.

The key for me is going to be how good defensively Marcus Denmon, Dixon and Matt Pressey can be - if denmon and M Pressey can't play at a high level defensively, big guards might give this Missouri squad issues.

I think that takes us back to the original premise.

oSu just doesn't look that scary to me... it's a tough place to play, no doubt. But I just don't see Okie Lite being that impressive. I don't see Cobbins being an instant impact guy, and their other incoming freshmen are really not impact guys.

Hatred aside? Riiiight. Missouri will not lose eight conference games. That's just not going to happen.

Especially if Mitchell as cleared, which is the latest hubbub I'm hearing.

Missouri is deeper in the front court, and better. Safford looks 100 percent. Bowers has improved quite a bit (added a lot of strength and weight, and seems to have taken the leadership role well). Ratliffe is going to be a nice rebounding presence. Moore is a bearable big body to play based on matchups or foul trouble. He'll see his PT shrink if Mitchell is cleared to play.

The backcourt is smaller and likely takes a step back defensively (though I think Matt Pressey and Marcus Denmon will be good, just not as good as Tiller and Taylor). But it will be much quicker, and Dixon and Pressey are going to create more opportunities for their teammates.

Going to be a fun year to watch, that's for sure. Especially here in KC.

I personally think we go 15-0.

StuBlack and Mizzouman are pretty confident that the stars are aligning for Mitchell to qualify.. now the question, does he stay for one semester or a year plus? I don't want to pigeonhole Ratliffe too soon, but he doesn't seem like a one-and-done guy, either. If both stay, we have one scholly open, and are pursuing two or more. I just hope (and believe) Anderson doesn't push out too many of his lower level players. Could backfire in recruiting down the line (even though I know some high-level programs do exactly the same thing)

I think Ratliffe is going to take some time to acclimate to the defensive pace and the motion offense, which is a little different than the "dump it to the post" offense he was featured in at juco. I think at worst he'll be a consistent rebounder and defender.

I can't see Mitchell going one and done, personally. If they end up landing both Otto Porter and McLemore -who still is a ku lean - Anderson will find a way to make it work. Matt Pressey could certainly afford to pay his own way, for instance.

On McLemore ... He wants to go to ku. His mom and family want him at Mizzou. That he isn't signing in the early period is a good sign for mizzou because it allows Anderson more time to work on him.

McLemore won’t sign, but …

Prize basketball recruit Ben McLemore, a 6-foot-5 senior guard from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., said Monday night he will not sign a letter-of-intent during the early signing period.

However, McLemore, who is Rivals.com’s No. 17-rated player, told the Journal-World in a phone interview he will orally commit to either Kansas University or Missouri on Saturday.

At the urging of his mother, he will return to his hometown of St. Louis on Friday to discuss his college options. It’s also Thanksgiving break for Oak Hill.

“KU is still the favorite,” McLemore said from his dorm room Monday night. “I’ll go home Friday and commit to a school Saturday. It’s why I’m going home, to talk to my mom and hopefully make a decision.”

McLemore had a two-hour phone conversation with his mother Sunday night.

“It’s not that reason,” McLemore said, asked to comment on rumors his mom won’t let him choose the Jayhawks over the Tigers. “We had a good conversation yesterday. She wants me to come home and talk face-to-face with the family (including his uncle).”

Asked if he wanted to attend KU, he said: “It’s still up in the air.”

McLemore, who had planned to concentrate solely on academics and basketball second semester, was asked if it was difficult not to sign in the early period, which concludes Wednesday.

“A little bit,” he said. “I’ll be OK. All the seniors who have signed, I’ll congratulate them. I will not be mad. I would like to sign, but I’ll be able to handle doing it this way.”

I like it that McLemore's mother is involved with his recruitment.

I do too, but I still think he ends up at ku. From what that article says, it seems apparent he wants ku and his mother is trying to convince him otherwise.
