Sounds like Matt Flynn heading to Oakland via trade, and Carson Palmer will be on his way out (possibly to AZ). trying to nail down details |

shitty to shit. nice

Well, that would help alleviate my primary Geno worry.
|
If this happens, Flynn has a better season than cassel 2.0. Period.

And the Jags fans wept...

DOOMED

It's unbelievable just how hard Seattle nailed their QB solution last year. Franchise QB who is arguably in league with (or better than) Andrew Luck in the 3rd round, free agent guy they picked up turned into a trade.
What an unstoppable team they could be. That's a scary-looking dynasty if I ever saw one. |

BTW, have we paid them rent for 2013 Arrowhead? |

Where are the Raiders offensive playmakers? |

I hope Mckenzie-Flynn is the new Pioli-Cassel
|
Flynn is still an unknown if you ask me. I think I'd rather take the chance on him rather than Alex Smith, we already know what we are getting with Smith and it's hot garbage.
|
Half joking half serious. I think I'd rather have Chase Daniel.

How can anyone say that Wilson didn't have a better team than Luck?
The Seahawks had a ton of talent on their team last year to surround their QB. |
After 2012 season we can throw all the QB back in draft not 1 team would take Wilson over Luck.

Hahahaha.
Keep trading for jackwagons! Wait...we did that. **** |

So are Arizona and Oakland going this route because they don't like Geno, or because they know he's not going to be available? :)

Please explain how that is possible when the Raiders don't have shit for an offensive line, wide receivers, tight ends or running backs (McFadden has been nothing short of a bust). |
LMAO and R8ers laughed at us for acquiring Smith.

Another team with a premium pick in the draft trading for a questionable QB instead of relying on the draft to fill that need? I wonder what that means.

Flynn deal shows Raiders don’t think much of rookie quarterbacks
Posted by Mike Florio on March 29, 2013, 3:59 PM EDT Matt+Flynn+Tennessee+Titans+v+Seattle+Seahawks+qHvp4AsP8iel Getty Images So much for the Raiders being interested in Geno Smith with the third overall pick in the draft. The reported trade that will send one-game wonder Matt Flynn from Seattle to Oakland means that the Raiders won’t be drafting Smith, or presumably any other quarterback. Unless it’s all an elaborate smokescreen. Flynn’s contract carries a base salary of $5.25 million in 2013, $2 million on which is fully guaranteed. In 2015, Flynn is due to make $6.25 million. While Flynn has limited NFL experience, Raiders G.M. Reggie McKenzie knows what he’s getting. McKenzie worked for the Packers during Green Bay’s Brett-Favre-barricade draft of 2008. Within weeks after the Packers finagled Favre’s retirement by demanding a commitment early in the offseason, Green Bay drafted both Brian Brohm and Flynn. It’s unknown what the Raiders are giving up to get Flynn, but McKenzie declared last year that the team won’t be trading draft picks. For now, it appears they won’t be using any draft picks on a quarterback. |

I am not going to Homer up and act like this is what I wanted because it's not... I really was content on Pryor starting since we are in rebuilding mode anyway... |

Say goodbye to a trade down.
Looks like it's Joeckel at 1. |
Why didnt Dorsey ever make a play for Flynn? He obviously knows him pretty well too....

The Qb receives the ball from the vented. This is called a "hike". The Qb will then throw the ball to a receiver. This is called a pass. I mean seriously though look at what I wrote. You're acting like this is SO impossible so is it not reasonable then to infer that if this does happen......or even comes close to happening ... that Flynn would have to be given a lot of credit.......and cassel 2.0 by your admission has so many more weapons so he will have a MUCH better season than Flynn ' right? |

You don't actually think the Raiders and Chiefs were going to trade with each other did you? |

Very telling that two teams with potential to draft Geno Smith—Chiefs and Raiders—have acquired other quarterbacks. |

So when/if Arizona signs Carson Palmer, will that will leave Buffalo as the only fire break between Geno Smith and the 2nd round (or maybe more likely, the late 1st round via a trade up)?
|
All of these teams that are lauded for picking up backup quarterbacks are also among the five worst franchises of the last decade.
Coincidence? |
