Are you done?

So if the reports are true and the Chiefs just traded 2 second round picks for Alex Smith, are you done with them?

htismaqe 02-27-2013 11:15 AM

I'm not going to completely sever ties until after the draft.

But it's not looking good right now.

RealSNR 02-27-2013 11:15 AM

No QB at 1.1, no SNR.

The hope is gone. I'm done.

Hootie 02-27-2013 11:15 AM

well there is no way we traded 2 2nd round picks for him

if we did trade #34 that is an awful ****ing trade....but I did predict that he was worth a 2nd round pick to some team and Dane told me I was a ****ing idiot.

I just wish that team wasn't us...****. Ridiculous.

DaKCMan AP 02-27-2013 11:15 AM

On life support.

Molitoth 02-27-2013 11:15 AM

I'm done.

slimdagreat 02-27-2013 11:16 AM

i'm teetering on going back to my hometown Saints

BigCatDaddy 02-27-2013 11:16 AM

Thinking Bears or Packers

suds79 02-27-2013 11:16 AM

The Vikings are on TV all the time here on the Fox affiliate. I might start watching some of their games.

Ok, see you guys later.

I hate the ****ing trade and the idea we won't take Geno at #1.

but you guys would never have been happy unless Clark hired ChiefsPlanet.com at GM so this was inevitable either way...they just helped speed up the process for you guys!

Are you giving a discount?

Chiefs=Champions 02-27-2013 11:18 AM

Im siding with SNR. No Geno equals no support next year. I love the Chiefs. Its mother****ing 3.45am where i am. that should tell you all you need to know about my commitment to this team. I will not waste another minute on this team should we not take a QB, until we take one.

hometeam 02-27-2013 11:18 AM

If we both gave up 2 2nd rounders, and pass on Geno, then yes I am done.

Will schedule the first tattoo removal appointment right away. Not joking in the slightest.

ToxSocks 02-27-2013 11:19 AM

I'll watch them, i'll still follow them...i mean, I've been a Chiefs fan since i was 7 years old...it's kind of hard to just quit them.

But i can honestly say that i don't care anymore.

I don't care about F/A this season, I don't care about the draft....I just don't care anymore.

I can now save myself a few hundred bucks and not renew sunday ticket.

Basileus777 02-27-2013 11:20 AM

I might as well save myself some pain and become a Jets fan.

Well, not really, but that's how terrible it'd be if we gave up two 2nds...

I'll never be done with the franchise, but I'll be completely apathetic for the next four years if we're just going to repeat the same bullshit as our last regime.

I just want a reason to hope. So i can hope that my team has a chance of making the superbowl someday. Alex ****ING Smith does not equal any hope. In fact he equals the opposite of hope because there is a good chance it means we arnt taking Geno. If thats the case im pretty much done for now. Why waste my time on a team that is going no where?

Ebolapox 02-27-2013 11:21 AM

can we have a party to burn all of our chiefs gear? cause... yeah, I'm ****ing DONE if this is ****ing true

KC_Lee 02-27-2013 11:21 AM

Give up two 2nd round picks and draft an LT with 1.1 then yeah I will be done with this team.

Guess I will be watching the Packers, Saints and the Vikings.

Reaper16 02-27-2013 11:23 AM

I'm pretty much done. I'm already in public mourning on Twitter. I will wait for the pick at 1.1. My stance this whole offseason has been take a QB there or I'm ****ing through caring.

That an insane, utterly insane, two 2nd day picks are being thrown at Alex Smith, the likelihood of KC drafting a QB in the first round is basically nonexistent. But still, I'll wait til the pick is made.

Hammock Parties 02-27-2013 11:23 AM

I am not done, but my soul has been ripped out and stomped on for the last time, barring Geno.

WhiteWhale 02-27-2013 11:23 AM

If we gave up two 2nd's for Alex Cassel, yes... I'm done.

I'm sick and tired of watching a team fail for 20 years because they make the same goddamn mistake over and over.

You absolutely don't have a freaking clue. Sorry.

slimdagreat 02-27-2013 11:24 AM

You guys in KC should do a mass jersey burning and put it on youtube

okcchief 02-27-2013 11:24 AM

If its 2 2nd round picks we just got raped, and I will be severely pissed. I was upset enough about it when I thought it was a ****ing 3rd rounder. I can't quit being a Chiefs fan, but Reid better make him a god damned legitimate pro-bowler. This move gives me no ****ing patience. You better be right, and you better win now.

ptlyon 02-27-2013 11:24 AM

Thank god, this place will quiet down a lot! ROFL

Chiefs=Champions 02-27-2013 11:24 AM

The only dime i would be willing to spend on this franchise now would be some sort of colossal last ditch effort to show them that this is not ok. Some sort of mega banner that shows the amount of people who disapprove this move. Sadly im thinking a majority of chiefs fans will be all aboard the a smith bandwagon.

suds79 02-27-2013 11:25 AM

I suppose we should all just check out for about 4 years until this current clowns are gone.

And why will they be gone? Because they never got anywhere because they don't have an elite QB.

Some things never change.

loochy 02-27-2013 11:25 AM

No. Every single one of you that says you are "done" are full of crap.

I'm not happy with this, but I'm not "done." I don't go to games or buy memorabilia anyway, so I'm not supporting them anyway.

RUSH 02-27-2013 11:25 AM

Sadly, yes. Deadly serious too. Can't do it anymore. I'm broken.

Props to you guys who can stick this one out. The compensation was worse than I could have ever imagined too.

buddha 02-27-2013 11:25 AM

I'm looking forward to CP without the ass clowns who are "done" with the Chiefs today.

I'm not going to try and sell Alex Smith to anybody...however, I trust Andy Reid.

slimdagreat 02-27-2013 11:26 AM

I don't mind Alex Smith and taking Joeckel at #1.

I have a huge problem with giving away 2 2nd round picks for him, 2 HIGH 2nd round picks at that.

Marcellus 02-27-2013 11:26 AM

Whats funny about this is the reaction is understandable but CP is looking at this as if Dorsey and Reid have been Chief's fans their whole lives like us.

Dorsey and Reid haven't been following this team forever and dealing with 49er Qbs and back ups and other teams left overs.

Dorsey and Reid don't care about the last 23 years, all they care about is what happens while they are in charge.

I want Geno too, but people act like the same people keep doing the same things, the irony is its not the same people.

We have some shit luck.

keg in kc 02-27-2013 11:26 AM

Pretty much. I expected them to do this, so I'm not disappointed, but it's a pretty good indication that they're completely clueless. I've wasted too much time already on this franchise. Time be become a "general NFL fan" I guess. The chiefs are never winning anything.

BigMeatballDave 02-27-2013 11:27 AM

Who gives an F about some mytical title of being a true fan? I couldn't care less.

I just want to see my favorite team win a championship. I'll be damned if I end up like a Cubs fan. F that.

Looks like I'll have to go somewhere else to get it.

Simple fact is obvious, they don't like what they see in Geno. End of story folks.

You think if this draft was equal in QB talent to the 2012 draft they would be trading for Smith?

This isn't pee wee soccer. The sad fact is, in the NFL, you win or lose with your QB. Shove your few exceptions (that prove the rule) up your ass before you even start. This isn't the 80s anymore.

What I'm seeing is a franchise that's refused to draft a quarterback for 20 years. It's an established pattern, it's attributable to ownership, and I don't think it's going to change until the the day the Hunt family no longer owns the team.

It doesn't matter what quarterbacks are available in the draft, because they aren't looking for a franchise quarterback. Ever. That's not what they want. They want a game manager that won't lose games. They're stuck in the past, and they'll never win anything because of it. The revolving door of GM's and coaches doesn't change that.
