Everything after "The Crow".

chiefzilla1501 04-10-2014 09:31 PM

Does Troll 2 count? A movie so awful it threw a "2" at the end even though it wasn't the sequel to anything?

BigBeauford 04-10-2014 09:36 PM

The second starship troopers.

Some of those others are bad, but holy shit BB2000 was ****ing awful. Just embarrassing. Painful to watch. Dan Aykroyd must have had some financial trouble.

Fat Elvis 04-10-2014 09:38 PM

I hated Empire Strikes Back when it came out. It drove me nuts that Darth Vader was Luke's father. It still bothers me.

I've still seen the movie a bazillion times though.....

Maybe the best sequel ever. That or Godfather II.

Empire Strikes Back is probably my favorite of the Star Wars movies.

Episode 1 however is by far my least favorite.

Dartgod 04-11-2014 07:01 AM

Caddyshack 2 was the first one that came to mind for me.

Gravedigger 04-11-2014 08:06 AM

I guess not a sequel but my hatred for Xmen The Last Stand is always there.... Forever.

This. I couldn't even watch more than the first half hour of it or so. Just god-awful.

kaplin42 04-11-2014 08:56 AM

I accidentally stumbled upon the train wreck of a sequel called RoboCop 2 last night. it was terrible, but I could not turn the channel. It was just so, so bad.

gblowfish 04-11-2014 09:13 AM

I agree with Caddyshack 2. Major League 2 and 3 were bad too. Rocky 2, 3, 4, 5, etc etc....

Graystoke 04-11-2014 09:15 AM

Not a sequel, but the remake of Willie Wonka was just terrible.
Why wreck a pure classic?

blaise 04-11-2014 09:18 AM

I actually like the Willie Wonka remake better than the original.

Predarat 04-11-2014 11:52 AM

Superman 4
Slapshot 2
Halloween 4
Friday the 13th 4 and beyond
Grease 2
Leonard Part 6
Major League 3

Caddyshack 2 was so bad I forgot it existed.

GF 3 What a ****ing abortion.

Temple of Doom gets a bad rap

Nirvana58 04-11-2014 02:40 PM

Crank 2 and Anchorman 2. Horrible, horrible movies that threw everything out that was good from the originals and made pure Hollywood shit.

Arthur 2: On the Rocks, now that's a bad sequel.

wilas101 04-11-2014 04:55 PM

Maybe I missed it but Boondocks Saints 2 was beyond horrible.

Caddyshack 2

Major League Back to the Minors

Home Alone 3

Demonpenz 04-12-2014 12:11 AM

there should be a cavet that the sequel has to be something that a studio intends on doing well and can't be some B.S. straight to dvd one that everyone knows sucks. Maybe Anchorman 2

Mannequin 2: On the Move was so bad. Even Kristy Swanson couldn't save that waste of film.

Tribal Warfare 04-12-2014 02:50 AM

I like it to a degree since I saw it as a little kid but Ghostbusters 2 has real a vitriolic stigma to it for many

digger 04-12-2014 03:25 AM

Blair witch2
The fly2
Blade 2
Poltergeist 2

With some of the REALLY bad sequels the scripts don't even start out as said sequel. The studio execs get the script, have a few things changed from some script doctor and add the name of some franchise to it. Silent Night Deadly Night 5 is one exampled of that.

All of these are bad except Blade II. That was great! Blade III however.......awful.

PunkinDrublic 04-12-2014 12:27 PM

Fletch Lives. Only because the original Fletch was so great. It wasn't particularly bad just forgettable. Only saw it once but it was a big letdown after the original.

As the original Blues Brothers being one of my all time favorites. BB2000 was just an awful piece of shit! The jam at the end almost made it watchable. With that being said, BB2000 is the worst sequel ever.

Tribal Warfare 04-13-2014 04:48 AM

The Prophecy 4

the non Walken edition

Aries Walker 04-13-2014 04:51 AM

Yeah, there are bad sequels, awful sequels, and unwatchable sequels all in this thread, but Highlander 2 is in a class by itself. It had no redeeming values; it failed on every aspect; it is universally despised; and it was made with a straight face, as if they thought it was going to be amazingly good. It is the complete bad sequel to the level that it retroactively made the original worse.

The only other I can think of that was close is A Summer Story, the sequel to A Christmas Story, starring Macaulay Culkin's little brother. I turned it off partway through.

Wasn't Highlander 2 out of sequence?

They completely changed the origin story and made them from outer space or something? They basically ignored what they built up from the first movie.

There is a renegade recut of the movie, but I've never seen it. Anyone else seen it?

lcarus 04-13-2014 08:07 PM

Ghoulies 4 was pretty terrible. Of course Ghoulies 1, 2, and 3 sucked but 4 didn't even have the mother ****in GHOULIES in it. Instead it had 2 midgets dressed up as goblins. It had a flashback of the Ghoulies from the first one. Stupid. Ghoulies 2 was pretty decent I thought...

dilligaf 04-13-2014 09:31 PM

Hangover 2 and 3 were very bad. And Anchorman 2.

Tribal Warfare 04-13-2014 10:07 PM

I forgot about the "Critters" sequels

blaise 04-14-2014 05:13 AM

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. Didn't have Michael Myers. Wasn't the same storyline.

The problem with 3 was that Michael Myers was already established as the killer, had they done H3 but NOT put Halloween in the title it wouldn't be such a dud.. well that and not include Tom Atkins in the movie as a doctor that is a drunk and a sex addict.

That was on not too long ago on Epix. I watched it, and for the life of me couldn't understand why a movie like that could follow on the heels of a great movie like Star Trek IV.

Shatner got to direct it, so right there might answer a ton of questions.

Wasn't that the movie where some beetle brooch would shoot lasers into people's mouths and a stream of bugs would flow out? WTF was that shit?

ThaVirus 04-14-2014 01:26 PM

I'm not even sure. I remember some shit about bugs and kids having to watch some weird ass commercial or something on TV.

Honestly, the less I remember the better..

Halloween 3 had masks that turned peoples heads into mush because they had a piece of chipped off rock from stonehenge and some computer chip in it.

Does anyone know, is Nothing But Trouble as awful as I remember. It was like The Klumps meet The Walking Dead [visual-wise] without an ounce of humor.
