I may catch hell for saying this, but there isn't a team in the NFL that would cause me to root for the Patriots. Their bullshit destroyed our franchise. Nothing that any of our rivals did, one who sucks the peniss that they may be, ruined our team.

To paraphrase frazod, I would root for al-Qaeda if they played the Patriots.

DeezNutz 01-20-2013 09:09 PM

I don't know if there will ever be a more detestable sports figure in KC than Scott Pioli. Everything, literally every single piece of incompetence that he unleashed on KC, was a direct attempt to reconstruct an empty cliche.

If you don't hate damn near everything about the Patriots, you simply haven't been paying much attention the last four years in KC.

Red Dawg 01-20-2013 09:09 PM

Patriots haven't won shit since they evolved from a team led by a veteran defense (Rodney Harrison, Teddy Bruschi, Richard Seymour, Ty Law, etc) into a glorified run and shoot team.

The legend of Tom Brady and "the Patriots Way" shrinks with every playoff/Super Bowl loss.

Quote:

Trade Brady now, his luck has run it's course and that was years ago. Sure he says he can play 10 more years, good let it be for, a few first round draft picks and a team in the gutter, we have the pieces in place, but Brady is no longer the man to drive this ship.
Quote:

Over the next few years Brady's our best chance to win but he's beyond carrying this team anymore.

In order to win come playoff time management needs to surround him with the right complementary players on offense. Not sure they have done enough of that of late. And it shows in these typs of games against teams who can smack us around.

The defense is fine. They just need to make sure they re-sign Talib, get a true pass rusher, replace Gregory and ensure that Arrington only ever has to place in the slot.
Quote:

So the game hinged, basically, on one call.

With the eyes of an NFL-crazed country focused on Bernard Pollard spearing Ridley with at least his 2nd helmet-to-helmet hit of the evening-- this time the biggest cheap shot artist in the history of the NFL struck paydirt with a dirty, filthy knockout and the resultant "fumble" which turned the tide of the game in Baltimore's favor.

So, after a lot of hours of following this team and the league and in the process being forced to sit through the fake referees, the idiot talking heads and endless hours of talking lizards, flying pigs and robot teacher's pets it all comes down to a crew of gutless refs and their faceless backups in the booth who watched that play in crystal-clear HD slo-mo and somehow didn't think the HELMET TO HELMET HIT was worth noticing. That it somehow wasn't relevant to the outcome of the play. Not only did they choose not to see it, but neither Simms or Nantz did, which was pretty remarkable to me. It was so obvious that anybody who saw it was either sickened or should have been.

So much for player safety, the rules and the entire rotten core of the NFL. They got what they wanted. A great story about backyard battles of two brothers and the noble warrior Ray Lewis riding clouds of glory straight to heaven to war dance with his good buddy God.

It's all sick and crooked and I feel like the world's dumbest asshole for wasting the hours of my life watching this phony game. This sad joke that promises honor and delivers disgrace.

Bill Belichick will probably quit in disgust and I wouldn't blame him if he did.
Quote:

This team is done.

Every year since 2007 has been the same. How can a team with significantly better skill players be so ****ing awful in the playoffs while the joker 2006 Pats nearly made the Super Bowl?

Another pathetic WW drop, plus other timely drops.

Another game where the opposing team makes better halftime adjustments than BB. 13-7 at half and blown out completely in the second half. Recent SBs anyone?

Another game where TB, supposed GOAT, is now 8-7 in the playoffs after starting 9-0. Not all losses are on him, but in EVERY playoff loss since 2007 the offense has underperformed. EVERY single loss. Hell, even in the win versus BAL last year Brady was bailed out by BAL's derp after playing an awful game.

NE is supposed to rise to the occasion in January.

NE is supposed to have one of the best coach/QB combos in history.

NE is supposed to have one of the most prolific offenses in history.

And yet, here we are, yet again staring at an off-season after BB was outcoached by a inferior coach, TB was outplayed by an inferior QB, and the entire team looked disinterested after a few plays went against them.

The injuries hurt but **** the excuses.

The defense played great in the first half and gave the offense AGES to score some ****ing points and build a solid lead. Brady and co. should have gone into half with a double digit lead but pissed away so many opportunities. Then Baltimore makes adjustments, the D falls a part because the O can't stay on the field, and the Pats crumble like a bunch of pussies.

This game played out EXACTLY like 2007 and 2011 Super Bowls. BB, TB, and the rest are soft and do NOT have what it takes to overcome adversity against solid defenses.

D gave up a bunch of points eventually, but like in those SB losses it gave the O chances to make plays. Instead, Brady and co. pissed away their chances and left the D out to dry.

Once again an elite offense played like shit and expected a mediocre defense to keep them in the game - it should be the other way around and BB/TB need to be called out for this recurring nightmare.

I'm sure midgar will come prancing in here to protect Brady, but **** it. I love TB as much as anyone, but he is supposed to be the leader of this team and he just doesn't have it anymore. It isn't just him - BB has been outclassed over and over in recent playoff losses.

I'm disgusted not because we lost, but because we once again lost by playing WAY below potential. Sometimes it just isn't your day or you meet a better team, but the Pats haven't lost while playing well since the 2006 AFCCCG - especially the O.

How many times will this team score under 20 points in a playoff loss after scoring 30+ in the regular season?

New England Colts (2007-2012) - Prolific offense and regular season team that annually folds against half-decent defenses.

Know what makes me most angry and sad? These exact same criticisms and frustrations were vented here by me and others in 2007 and 2011. Nothing has changed. Nothing.

Hootie 01-20-2013 10:54 PM

Hammock Parties 01-20-2013 11:03 PM

No playmakers got you down, Patriotards?

Quote:

No, this is the let's stress that the same problems have existed for 5 straight years thread.

BB needs to wake up and fix whatever is keeping this team down. The Patriots have straight-up choked in the playoffs more times in recent memory than any team I can remember.

I'm not saying TB has lost his passion or isn't a good QB, but he isn't finding ways to beat quality defenses anymore. BB needs to figure out how to help him do that and I think it might come down to letting Gronk/AHern take over Welker's load while replacing guys like Branch, Llloyd, and Wes with legit WR threats.

The D is coming along. It isn't great, but it's improved from last year. Talib is a must-sign.

But this elite offense once again underperformed by double digit points in scoring.

If I told you before the game that the Ravens would score 28+ points I'm sure you'd have believed it was possible or even likely. But what would you have said if I said the O would score 13 points? This same scenario happened in 2007 and 2011.

I'm scared this recurring nightmare won't be identified and fixed before TB and BB ride off into the sunset, a few less wins than their legacies deserve.
Quote:

They're a bunch of stat padders that can beat up on scrubs like the Bills and Raiders but always fold against tough teams. They need outside receivers like you wouldn't believe. EVERYTHING is underneath, dink pass, dink pass, dunk pass. They also need to grow some balls on defense. They were so ****ing scared of the deep ball that they got picked apart, and never adjusted.
Quote:

They also need some speed in the linebacker core. Atrocious.
Quote:

The WR position is a major issue IMO.

I honestly think they need to let WW walk and reevaluate the way the offense is run.

Gronk and AHern can be our beasts in the middle, the RB position is set for years, but the WR position (outside) has been a ****ing joke since Moss left. Hell, even with Moss all we really had was the go route. Watching guys like Julio Jones make me want to cry.
Quote:

Especially in the league now with all the rules favoring WR's, and we've still got scrubs like Deion Branch? Because of this, every drive has to be 10 plays. It was laughable watching them try and mount a comeback at 28-13, still dinking and dunking all the way.
Quote:

Agreed on all parts. I think sometimes Welker can hamstring the offense because Brady always dumps it down to him instead of taking a risk and throwing it up for Ahern or Lloyd.

Which brings up LLoyd. What the f*** happened?! He was supposed to fix the problem last off-season. Finally a good threat on the outside!

Well that sucked. I was a massive LLoyd fan, and considering his successes in McD's offense, I thought it would be a shoe-in that he would be successful.

Seriously, what happened?

LLoyd barely surpassed how half-season in St Louis last year.

I hope and pray for an athletic reciever (preferably big). Make a run at Dwayne Bowe? I don't know, but something really needs to be done.

"I think champions carry themselves a little differently," Branch said. "I think if you go and talk to Ray (Lewis) it might be a little bit different. Uh, no. But underachieving is underachieving. When you have the supposed best coach ever and best QB ever, you're not supposed to choke like a Filipino hooker in her first porno. Joe ****ing Flacco? Really? At home? The criticisms are valid; the Pats have been outcoached at halftimes, Brady and Welker have collapsed in key moments, Belichick can't build a D (and he's supposed to be a defensive genius), and Adam Vinatieri is the difference between "dynasty" talk and being 0-for in Super Bowls. The criticisms are valid. What's hilarious is these bitches want to trade Brady and Welker. It's hilarious that they think the Patriot way will find another. Just like that.

That being said, the cheatriots are in a tough spot. You basically can't fire anybody after they make it to an afccg. Normally the team will suck shit and the housecleaning happens. And those posts are why I always cheer against Boston teams. What a bunch of spoiled, entitled whiners who don't know how good they have it.

I actually heard a Patriots fan on sports talk radio say that Belichick should be fired tomorrow and Cowher or Gruden should replace him. He said they needed a real winning coach.

What on earth are you talking about? They haven't won a title since the Bruins run in 2011. That's over an entire year.

AussieChiefsFan 01-21-2013 01:21 AM

The era is over.

Makes them look worse that Brady is a classless POS.

Watch him not get fined for that bullshit.

Deberg_1990 01-21-2013 01:57 AM

What's funny about the Pats is, their Championships teams were probably not nearly as talented as their teams of the past 5 or 6 years. It's weird.....they are like the teams they used to beat. All offense and no defense.

Gravedigger 01-21-2013 02:18 AM

They rely on Tom Brady and think they can win with mediocre defense. Doesn't work anymore, proof that its not only the QB that gets you the ring.

A good point.

Things have come full circle and the 2012-2013 Patriots are basically the 2001-2002 Rams team they shocked in the Super Bowl to start their dynasty.

Finesse team with a jackass HC.

see, i don't disagree with the statement about the "right 53." a team can overcome some lack of talent. where pioli screwed up was he couldn't pick the right 53 to save his life. so even though scooter talked about it, the only thing he could pick was the wrong 53.

This has been the pattern since the '06 AFCCG collapse to Indy. It's not about "almost" getting it done.

Still, though, it's funny to watch the pathetic and miserable joy some of you get over having them lose. Watching GoSwallow is like watching a guy with a 2" dick making fun of a guy with a 7" dick for not being long enough.

You're basically a stepford wife who came over to our neighborhood singing the praises of "The Patriot Way" and challenging anyone who didn't think the "exec of the decade" and "the shitty backup QB that the exec of the decade" made into a millionaire 63 times over were the greatest things.

After being tortured for 4 years, we finally rid ourselves of this filth, and now we get to watch all the assholes who tried to tell us their shit smelled better than everyone elses over that time frame suffer a bit?

You smug one who sucks the peniss deserve it all.
