LJ's first mistake was...
 

hiring Carl's buddy Marvin Demoff to be his agent. That pretty much sealed the fact that the Chiefs were going to draft him, because Carl knew that Demoff would convince LJ to sign the first contract offer that Carl made, and there would be no messy holdout.

There's no way Carl drafts LJ if the agent is Ethan Locke, Jim Steiner, Hadley Engelhard, or one of the Postons.

How would this situation have been different had Drew Rosenhaus been the agent? Rosenhaus would have fought the verbal battle against DV for the "diaper" comment, and LJ could've remained in the background. There was no comment at all from Demoff on the whole situation. Nice job, Marv.

And way before now, Rosenhaus would have been demanding a trade after seeing LJ stuck behind Derrick Blaylock on the bench. Rosenhaus would have been asking for permission to work out a trade with other teams, like he did with Portis. Again, has Demoff been any help in this situation? No, he just leaves LJ out to dry, and all because he's Carl's buddy.

LJ should've fired this joker long ago, and now he just keeps on getting humiliated while Demoff hides in the background.

It's true. An aggressive agent would have tried very hard publicly to force a trade. The fans might end up resenting the player, but it would be better off for his client.

One of the things that makes me the maddest about this situation..........

Johnson, out of the draft knew he was behind Priest...........He got an amicable agent, signed for a very reasonable contract price, quickly, and was in Camp early.................and Vermeil has been treating him like a Brown Peanut Pickle since day 1.

Iowanian brings up a good point. Peterson and Hunt met Johnson at the Heisman awards and were very pleased with his character and integrity. They made note of this when they drafted him and when they signed him. Now a year and a half later DV wants everyone to believe the kid is a cancer.

I agree with Shane, but his first, FIRST mistake was to choose to be a running back at Penn State.

Not beating out Blaylock for the #2 RB slot! If he could actually beat out Derrick Blaylock, this would be a non-issue.

Kind of like how Holmes was a failure for never "earning " his way into a starting role.

I dont understand all i heard from training camp was that LJ is the # 2 guy behind priest and through preseason but when the season gets here he goes from # 2 to # 3, how in the world, and all i heard through training camp and preseason is about how well LJ has been doing how his attitude had changed how he had won the backup role to priest.

So can someone tell me, what in the bleep went on between than and now to demote him to # 3 on the depth chart.

Holmes was a starter for at least a year. At least with him, he had some sort of record you could base an opinion on. Johnson does not.

LJ has a record. Oh wait, that's probably not what you're talking about...
