I can just imagine, Kawika Mitchell reading the paper tomorrow, and seeing CHIEFS MOVE RICH SCANLON UP TO THE ACTIVE ROSTER, and the thought that crosses his head is, OH SHIT THERE WENT MY JOB, j/k. :p

As for Rich, I know he has moved up due to the injuries. As much as I do believe he can help the team, I will ( try'n )refrain from as many post and wisecrack as possible. Remember, It doesn't bother me, this is all fun anyways. Now as for III, he is excited more than I, I'm staying out of this one. K ! I'm going to set back, watch the comments, cut and paste a few and use them in the right moments. ROFL |

Scanlon was a very good pickup as an undrafted free agent.
**Rich Scanlon, Syracuse (6-1¾, 249) Ran 4.59 and 4.64 at Syracuse's Pro Day. **Was the defensive MVP at Blue-Gray Classic (college all-star game) **Was ranked among Gil Brandt's top 10 LB's right before the draft--was the only LB on the page not drafted....http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/7234043 I'm from the East coast and saw him play--I was suprised he wasn't drafted. |
I hear ya, I have been telling this bunch for sometime the kid has some serious game, he just needs to play. But most don't believe and would rather take the time to make fun of it.... So be it !
Again to those who want to know, here is the predraft report on him. OVERVIEW Developing talent who blossomed as a senior, leading the team while ranking third in the Big East Conference and eighth in the nation in tackles in 2003 … Aggressive tackler who also excelled on the special team coverage units … Also garnered honors for his excellent academic standing the last three years … Ranks eighth on the school's career-record list with 24½ stops behind the line of scrimmage … Recorded 277 tackles (178 solos) with 4½ sacks for minus-32 yards, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, eight pass breakups and a pair of interceptions in 43 games. ANALYSIS Positives: Has a muscular upper body with a good bubble, thick legs and calves … Shows quickness and agility reacting to the play … Smart, focused defender who shows good knee bend and explosion behind his tackles … Uses his hands effectively to shed … Shows good discipline diagnosing the plays … Runs well in pursuit and is fluid in his pass drops … Shows good ball awareness, using his hands effectively to mirror tight ends and backs working in the short area … Has the hand jolt needed to generate pressure and is very active with those hands in defeating cut blocks … Sees all blocking patterns in front of him and takes on the blocker using the right arm and shoulder. Negatives: Sometimes gets caught up in the inside trash (when he lines up wide, he tends to take bad angles to the ball) … Needs to show better knee bend when trying to contain the inside run … Hands are smaller than ideal, but compensates with consistent stun-and-jolt usage … Makes some key-and-read mistakes but generally will find his way towards the ball. AGILITY TESTS 4.54 in the 40-yard dash (indoor track) … 4.62 in the 40-yard dash (outdoors). |
I once saw Rich Scanlon scissor kick Angela Lansbury ...
MM ~~:D |
ROFL I was waiting to see if Mark M would show up with his Scanlonisms...

Rich Scanlon once got my wife pregnant, and my son was playing Beethoven by the age of 3. |
I hope Scanlon rip shit tears ass. It would be good for the team and provide a lot of BB discussion.

The beginning is a very delicate time. Know then that it is the year 2004. The known universe is ruled by the King Carl Peterson the 1st, my father. In this time the most precious substance in the universe is the Vince Lombardi Trohpy. The Trophy extends franchises. The Trophy expands conciseness. The Trophy is vital to NFL success. The NFL and its Owners, who the Trophy has mutated over 125 years, use the Vince Lombardi Trophy, which gives them the ability to win games; that is, to travel to any part of the United States with out losing. Oh yes, I forgot to tell you the Trophy does not exist in only one State in the entire league , a dry desolate State with vast plains. Hidden away with in the rocks of these plains are the people known as the Chiefs fans; who have long held the prophecy that a man would come, a Messiah, who would lead them to true victory. The State is Missouri, and the man is RICH SCANLON.
