Baby girl name opinions?
 

The wife and I are expecting our third child in the next week or so, but we're struggling to nail down the name. Any thoughts on the finalists?

Sydney Anne/Michelle
Kate Elizabeth
Megan Elizabeth

My wife and I almost went with Sydney for our daughter...went with Raven Paige instead.

I like Sydney and Megan.

I think Sydney will probably be a really common name, though. When naming my girls, I tried to be original and always failed.

Sydney is in the 20s or 30s of most popular names in 2003. We chose Emma for our first in 1999. Emma was in the 40s.....now it's in the top 5.

I prefer the "older" names......... Claire, Caroline, Madeline........just don't spell it stupid whatever you do.....we don't want little Orangejella to have a hard time at Kindergarden.

We're the same. Our first girl is Emma Claire. That's probably why we're somewhat drawn to Kate. A little plain, but a classic that will never "go out of style". And no unique spellings either....not a fan.

Believe it or not, my Grandmother Barge's first name is Margie. Her siblings affectionately(?) call her Marge.

Eh, we searched through hundreds of names and finally settled on one for my daughter. The spelling we chose was listed but, it was not the most common. Terah.

I wish I had that level of humor. I'm just not very funny.

I had always liked that name but had never seen that spelling. Plus, we were trying to go for something that isn't a top 100 name. Terah Beth, middle name is after her mother.

With a last name like that it doesn't really matter what first name you pick. :)

I've always been a fan of "Sommer". Not as vain as naming your child directly after a season but still has nature/unique thing going for it.

My wife and I are about to have a baby. We picked out names a while ago Addison for a girl, but it's a boy, his name is Atticus.

One of my good friends just named their baby daughter Addison. She happened to be born on my Birthday.

When we were picking out baby names Sydney Shade was going to be the girls name. We had a boy. This was almost 10 years ago and didn't know any Sydneys then either.

Daughter's name is Summer and that was 19 years ago. Didn't know any Summers back then.
