David Boston busted for Roids

Update on ESPN: David Boston just got a four game suspension for steroids. In other news, water is wet.

I can't believe both the Chargers and Dolphins were suckered by this clown. You have to know something's wrong when Arizona just lets their best young WR walk.

To the suprise of no one...

Sure-Oz 12-06-2004 01:29 PM

He is proof what steriods can do good and bad.

No doubt. And think how much worse it is with Ricky and Boston.:)

Iowanian 12-06-2004 01:38 PM

I went 'round and round with Bolt fans, who were enraged that I suggested Boston was a juicehead.

ptlyon 12-06-2004 01:51 PM

I'm sure he wasn't before he became a fin...

Anyone who has ever lifted even a little knows you can't grow like Boston did without more than a little help. I never understood why a WR would want to be that big anyway. He looks more like a blocking TE, except he can't block.

Yeah never would have imagined a 260lb frequently injured WR would be on roids.

It's a travashamockery! Ban him for life! Put an asterick on his helmet!

elvomito 12-06-2004 02:20 PM

You'll have to work that out with your therapist...this place certainly won't be helpful.

Red Dawg 12-06-2004 02:26 PM

I'll go off the board and guess the whole baseball ordeal possibly combined with some nosy Miami news reporter looking for a story...

That wouldn't surprise me...Boston probably has muscles in his hemorrhoids.

Kind of like how Denver was suckered when AZ let their starting QB walk without making an effort to keep him.

Sarcasm noted. And I agree that AZ hasn't been the model of how to run a successful franchise. But Boston was clearly one of the best WRs in the league at the time, and the Cards made no attempt to retain him. In fact, about half the league knew that he was a headcase steroid user. A lot of scouts at the time said he had bulked up so big that his legs(ankles) wouldn't be able to support him. Somehow, the Chargers were too stupid to realize this, and not only signed him, they inked him to a huge deal as if they were in a bidding war (they weren't). Then after the injuries the scouts had warned of, along with even more stories of what a nutjob he is, the Dolphins go out and get him. It's just amazing the SD and MIA missed what every other team in the league had figured out.
