Which logo do you like? OR -- Design one for me for $$$!
 

OK... I'm going my own way with my production company, no partners. As I gearing up to go live on the webpage, here's the logos I had designed for me... what do you think?

My preferences (in descending order) are 5, 7, and 3.

Can I make one and put the rest of them to shame? :D

Absolutely. Actually, anybody wanting to make one is welcome to... I'd even pitch you a little cash if I end up using it... (a little... like $10, on PayPal).

But you can't use any copyrighted material, and all copyright must be transferred to me once it's finished.

I like #2. It simple, yet still catches my eye. I think sometimes people try to overdue something. If you simplify something just enough, it leaves more to the imagination while still getting the main concept across.

I'm not in the mood to make a blue monkey logo. Now if it were a monkey logo with a blue ass, I'd be on it in a sec! :D

Hey, you should be selling this stuff for me. I do, after all, own the Official Market Research Firm of Chiefs Planet.

It is kind of funny to get completely objective feedback from people. I was observing one group a while back with the sponsor and the advertising firm while we were testing a television commercial, and everyone was quite critical. One person said, "That advertising firm should be fired." That makes for an awkward moment in the viewing area...

4th, would you want to work something else up for me? I want to get a pic made of this famous art piece, on a red background, and with clouds instead of the bird... basically, put the famous business man's head "in the clouds" with the bowler hat above. That'd rock!

I'd like to follow you around for a few days to see what your job is like. Of course, it would be awkward, with all those people whispering to you, "Who's that guy following you around and why is he following you around?"

Not a problem. I didn't have to spend an hour doing it, which is a plus. 5 minutes in Photoshop is fun. Take for example, this post from bad girl yesterday, talking about being in the path of hurricane Dennis. :D

Personally, I'd lose the moon. It has nothing to do with the logo or the name of the company. I'd also stick with solid colors for the lettering.

That's no moon (it's a space station!). That's a camera lens and a glare off the lens. Some people are TOTALLY getting that... others are not. It's in the least a little confusing. I noticed it was a lens almost immediately, while my brother and sister in law had no clue.

But I agree with the lettering now that I see it... the solid lettering is better.

They shoulda used a lens flare instead.

A lens flare would be on the film, not on the lens. And on a curved lens, like they are, the glare would look like a crescent moon.

That is why I had the opinion that simple is better. My vote is still for #2. My second choice, if I was looking for more detail, would be #7.

#2 is one I'm thinking about... #7 I don't like. Probably the front runners for me right now are 4 and 5.

I'd go with #6 before I'd go for either #4 or #5. I just don't like the black with the blue and white. Just doesn't look right to me. And the film on the left on #5 just strikes me as looking weird.

Looking again, I actually like #6 more than #7. Doesn't matter either way though. I'd still go with #2 no matter what.

I am now officially in the "totally indifferent at this point" stage of the game.

Those are the two I voted for. They catch the eye... My first choice would be 5!!!

you need to think about simplicity of colors on this, and its best if they were created in Pantones for ease of printing.... I do like #5. Films with the tail might look nice.
