Ty Law and the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed in principle pending Law pass a physical and is able to prove he will be ready September 11, 2005 for opening day, according to Kansas City's 610 Sports reporter Rhonda Moss. Law's agent and the Chiefs are speaking daily, and are very close in terms of dollars.

If true, 2 out of the 3 players I wanted the Chiefs to aquire this offseason are on the roster. Kendrell Bell and Ty Law. I guess I could live without Justin Tuck.

He's sourcing 610 from the report yesterday. Apparently Ben didnt hear the 810 interview with Leon...err...Law.

I'll get excited when it's on a "real" sports website. Such as ESPN, sportsline, or CNNSI. Fat Moss from 610 does not have my trust!

Ty Law will be a Chief. All that nonsense he was spewing yesterday was to get the deal sealed. He would never talk on a KC station unless it had something behind it. Also on PTI i believe it was, Whitlock spoke to Law yesterday. Im sure Whitlock creamed all over himself in the process as well and off air whispered into Law's ear, " I told them to sign you first not Pat Surtain. I wanted you. Please come to us and I will give you a game used Ball State jersey that me and Jeff George wore while sleeping together."

I hate to break it to you, but wanting it really really really really really bad doesn't make it any more likely to happen.

I think the real story here is the all-in bet that 610 is placing here. If it turns out to be correct they and Moss are on the map as THE Chiefs prognosticators. If it doesn't pan out they just shot their credibility (what they have left) in the nuts.

There's not downside for these so called sports reporters. They can say basically anything they want and no one ever remembers if they were wrong. That's the reason sports journalism has become nothing but sensationalism.

I'm thinking there is a pretty strong chance this will be remembered for a month or two.

That remains to be seen. On the whole though, most of their listeners will forget they ever said anything about it.
