Dalton too fat?

Grunhard saying the only reason he isn't starting is his weight. Said he had a goal and isn't meeting it...when he does he'll be a first teamer...and that he's clearly our best DL.

Rain Man 08-08-2005 08:43 AM

I took note of that interview with Sims last week where he mentioned something along the lines of "it all starts in the middle with me and Lional."

the buffet?

redfan 08-08-2005 08:48 AM

I was impressed w/ Dalton's play last year. He made some plays. For this D, that's an accomplishment.

Chiefnj 08-08-2005 08:50 AM

I thought Dalton was lining up every day with the first team.

I think he does, but the D-linemen rotate a lot more then any other unit. I think right now Browning is starting, and Dalton is rotating in. With the way we rotate our D-linemen, Browning, Sims, and Dalton will all get a lot of playing time no matter which two are starting. I don't know if I can say the same of Siavii.

the Talking Can 08-08-2005 08:55 AM

he also said that Crap-ho refuse to sing as part of the rookie hazing...so they taped him to a fence....good times!

DTLB58 08-08-2005 08:55 AM

He didn't look to fat to me, in fact I commented I thought he looked lighter and quicker.

He was doing really well in one on one's Saturday night.

RedThat 08-08-2005 09:31 AM

Our starting defensive tackles should be Dalton and Browning. By far they are the best defensive tackles we have on this roster.

Taco John 08-08-2005 09:33 AM

Dalton sucks. All promise, no followthrough...

Kinda like Eddie Kennison. Some guys get their feet under them once they get away from Little Napoleon, Al Davis Jr.

I think the difference now is that he has a new friend in Priest Holmes.

You say that like Kennison would be a #1 WR on any other team in the league except one where he has Dick to wipe the spit-up off of his bib...

Hmm...I didn't say anything about Pro Bowls, #1 status, or anything like that.

You're the one that said, unequivocally "he sucks". There a large gap between "suck" and All-Star.

Of course, I don't expect someone with your intellect to understand that.

Hmmm, Kennison has to share ball distribution with a tight end that had 102 catches for 1258 yards and 7 TDs and still ended up with 62 catches for 1086 yards and 8 TDs in 14 games.

Not to mention that Kennison was matched up aganist the #1 CB on the Broncos and completely owned him.

You say that like Denver has a RB on their roster, who would even start in San Fran....The fact is, based on production, if Kennision were healthy 2 more weeks, he would have smoked Rod Smith's numbers too.

Halfcan 08-08-2005 11:16 AM

Good Points Coach, yeah I hope we don't have a couple more sucky 1000 yard receivers this year. If Parker comes around, maybe he will suck that bad too. Halfcan

Why you laughing taco, your weewee visible through your sheer panties?

In 14 games, playing hurt....Kennison put up better numbers than Lelie, and was in the same range as Smith. Fact.

In KC...NONE of Denver's RBs would be doing any Running in the top 2 spots....unless it were to fetch a cool drink for someone. good luck with that.

Jake plummer, with no legit backs..........bwhahahahahahahaa

Come to Think of it..........I'd wager than None of the Cleveland Dline in Denver....would Start in KC. Dalton would have been your best DT last year too.

Why is it, do you think, that sooooooooo many players hate playing in Denver soooooo much, that they'd rather just quit, or Binge on Flapjacks?

I didn't think Browning had been practicing at all. So, if Dalton isn't starting and Browning isn't playing, who is starting?

It's possible that Siavii could be getting some reps as well.

the Talking Can 08-08-2005 11:37 AM

according to Teicher Siavii hasn't practised much at all in camp...I wasn't clear, but he may have said was getting his knee checked meaning he wasn't even in camp right now...but I couldn't tell exactly how he said it....I think their are huge ???? about Siavii right now....a young guy with tendonitis in both knees, questionable work ethic...hmmm...

Sorry, what I meant was that the coaches have said Browning is the starter over Dalton right now. My point was that it doesn't matter near as much who starts with our DTs as with other positions. If you are in the rotation you are going to get a lot of playing time.

It also should be noted that the new depth chart came out today and Dalton was listed ahead of Browning. I don't know how much stock we should actually put in that, but at least it is out there.

good to hear...Grunhard probably doesn't know what he's talking about

Rain Man 08-08-2005 11:58 AM

I think that any of these discussions is not complete unless we also discuss the fact that the Broncos are a bunch of chop-blocking, vegetable oil-wearing, salary cap-cheating, third-round draft choice-penalized cheaters.
