Bronco's Carswell severely injured in multi-car crash
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm...190890,00.html
By Felix Doligosa Jr., Rocky Mountain News October 27, 2005 Denver Broncos lineman Dwayne Carswell was taken to a hospital this morning after a multi-car accident in Aurora. Shortly after 7 a.m., a driver in a gold Grand Am cut off a Volvo on the northbound lane of Parker Road near Hampden Avenue, said Anthony Guzman, spokesman for the Aurora police department. The two vehicles collided and went into the southbound lane, hitting three vehicles. Carswell was driving in one of the southbound vehicles. Carswell and a female were taken to a local hospital. Ted Sundquist, the Broncos general manager, told CBS4 Carswell had a torn diaphragm and bleeding in the chest cavity. Doctors did exploratory work to see what the extent of the injuries was around his heart and/or aorta, CBS4 reported on its Web site, cbs4denver.com. Sundquist, said the torn diaphragm will need to be repaired. Surgery may also be needed on the chest cavity. |
That's unfortunate and I wish him the best.
I guess he'll be listed as doubtful? |
Holy shit, that sounds serious. I hope he's ok.
|
:( I don't wish that on anyone.

Thats some serious injury. Makr him lucky to be alive and done for the year. |
Thats horrible, I hope he is ok.
|
I hope he turns out to be ok and has a full recovery.

[Bronco fan] If he wasn't wearing a seatbelt, he's stupid and deserved it. [/Bronco fan]
|
Sad deal. Best to him, his female companion, and their families.
|
DUDE, COME ON
that is not cool, no one deserves it. How would you feel if it happened to you?
|
I imagine his diaphragm would hurt.
|
Bleeding in the chest cavity is never good.
Guy that hit him was probably drunk, too. |

As for how I would feel if it happened to me... I imagine I would feel sore. I would also care a lot more, but that's because I rank myself above Dwayne Carswell. |
He'll probably get pregnant now that his diaphram is torn.
The bad news never stops. |

FWIW, I have your little table. I'll bring it to the next tailgate. |
Hope he heals up alright - always thought he was a pretty good TE. Best of luck.
As far as what Bronco fan tells you about Derrick Thomas, I think we should probably try to be better than them - not stoop to their level given the opportunity. |
Thats not good no matter if he plays for the Donks or not

That sucks.
My best to him and his family. |
Carswell? Not anymore it isn't.

Prayers for the Carswell family.
I'll hate his guts and wish bad things for him after he returns to playing. Until then, I hope he makes a full and quick recovery. Best wishes to him. |

One thing I definitely don't miss about living in Colorado is the danger of driving. It has to be one of the most dangerous places to commute. I-25 is a freaking deathtrap from Ft. Collins to and through Denver. I-70 isn't much better, but at least it doesn't have all the lane closures. T-Rex also sucks.

Damn ... I wish him the best. For what's it worth, he did catch 2 TDs vs the Jags this year... IIRC.

Sounds to me like he was just in the wrong lane at the wrong time. Nothing to do with seatbelts on or off.
Best of luck to all involved and a quick recovery. |

If those douche bags want to take what I say here over to the Mane, fine. All they are doing is turning that carswell thread into a cesspool by doing it. My only response on that thread was to your ridiculous claim that Carswell should be in the Ring of Honor. If your trunk monkeys want to make it into more than that, I'll be more than happy to take a big ole dump all over that thread. |
"Look you Chef Troll...DT is some sort of icon to you hillbillys and the stone cold fact is he left 3 women with 4 kids, held out and didn't have insurance...he took his rediculous SUV with racing tires out on ice and lost control.
STFU. The guy was an idiot. He left multiple women holding his sperm. He was a moron." |

Good lord... why drag up all this shit from people who haven't posted here in forever?

ROFL
Were you banned JSP? That last comment was brutal. |
jspchief is possibly the biggest scumbaggery I've ever seen on either forum folks. Never, and I mean never have I seen such an idiot before. Have fun posting your tripe over here jspchief, because you are never coming back to the Mane.
Hey Phil, guys like this sure do make a bad name for any forum... |

However, guys like this go off and preach how they hate reading about former players deaths and to prove their point, they go off and do the same shit? Sorry, but this guy may be a decent enough guy in real life, but for today, he's the biggest scumbag loser I've seen in quite awhile. Let him cry foul over here. At the end of the day, he's the one who has to live with his Broncos wife... |

That site is the biggest bunch of hypocritical pussies I've ever come across. They can fling sh*t like monkeys fighting boredom at the zoo, but as soon a turd comes back at them, they all squeal like a pig that just got it's nuts removed with vise-grips. Don't come over here huffing about this crap when you let the same thing go on over at that dump all the time. fucking hypocrite. |
On the bright side Saul, its good to see that you've taken the high road over there bro. But then again, you are respected on both forums, something that jspchief wont ever know. Can you just imagine jspchief having a temper tantrum while typing as he reads this? Take your ball and go home jspchief. You can cry over here about it and continue to make yourself look quite the heartless, soulless POS. Buh bye
|
I don't know why we have to keep reminding the Bronco fans that we could really care less about what happens about their bulletin board.
Maybe if it was cooler, they wouldn't have to come over here to find someone to talk to. |

I don't give two sh*ts about taking the high road. I like to give better than I got, and judging by all the bruised vaginas, mission accomplished. If you cared half as much about this as you claim, you would have put an end to it when Donkey fans were doing it. You're just trying to look like some model of human compassion, when in reality, if it had happened to a Chiefs player you would have sat back and let those guys say whatever they wanted about it. The only difference between you and me is I admit that I'm a dick, while you act like a dick and pretend you aren't. |

WOW, That's sad, hope he makes a speedy recovery. I hope all is well with all involved.
|
Get well Mr. Carswell. We're all pulling for you to recover and go home to your family. The Broncos will miss you, and hopefully they will not adopt a "Let's win it for Dwayne" thing, or wear your number on their helmets... 'cause I wouldn't want you to have that sort of letdown while you're still in intensive care.
|
Damn, that bytes! Best Wishes Carswell.
|
Best of Luck to Carswell, hope he comes out of this OK.

That said Garcia....if you'd like, I can provide links and a dozen or two rep comments(after the chiefs-donk game) where at least a half dozen mangers, made Multiple comments and called him very respectful things like "scumbag deserved it". Low rent shit....and interestingly enough...taco didn't seem to mind. |

This was his second car wreck of the week... a taxi hit him earlier. That's just nuts. They removed his spleen as part of the 5 hour surgery.
