I d/l DVDLive, burned it to DVD and rebooted. When my machine restarted it booted into some form of DOS with an "A:\>" any ideas on what went wrong?

Something tells me that the download may have been corrupted.

One thing springs to mind. You downloaded an ISO image of a cd, you can't just burn that file to a CD. Sounds like you burned the file to a data cd and made it DOS bootable. What you need to do is actually burn the ISO to cd. "Create CD from Image" I think is what Roxio and some of the others call it.

If you pop that CD in under Windows and look at the drive, do you see the .iso file on it?

Funny, your mom said the same thing about 9 months before you were born. Except it kind of had more of a moaning sound to it.

Just remember, it will say something about "burn image" or some-such s**t. Usually the word "image" or "iso" are in there somewhere.
