This is doing better than my public service announcement about microwaves and lower back tattoos.

Halfcan 06-18-2006 11:39 AM

Rain man you should have copyrighted that list before you posted it. You could have made some big $$$$!

You know Leno will steal it-he steals everyones stuff. I am surprised Whitlock has not printed it as his own yet either.

Really, I never noticed.

Yeah, I see that this one has a few more entries edited in, too. By the time this thing takes a lap or two around the internet, it'll be unrecognizeable.

Bugeater 06-18-2006 12:02 PM

I posted it on one of our local radio station's BB just a few hours after he posted it here, and someone responded that they had already received it in an e-mail. Definitely a Rain Man classic.

Halfcan 06-18-2006 12:08 PM

It has already been translated in 45 languages.

What the - they're rewriting my stuff! This is an outrage, even if they did improve the Grossman one.

Halfcan 06-18-2006 12:16 PM

I heard it made Big Ben laugh so hard he ripped out all of his stiches- now it is going to be 9 to 16 weeks of drinking out of a straw.

As an artist with published work...his work is automatically copyrighted as soon as it's created. But it doesn't hurt to have the © on it too. Still, that doesn't help with the Chinese! :p

Rain Man 06-18-2006 12:31 PM

China could have been a big market for me, too.

You'd never get paid. They don't pay for intellectual property...they steal it.
Don't forget, nobody owns anything anyway there. :(

 I mean someone else from Chiefsplanet posted in on one of our local radio station's BB just a few hours after he posted it here.

DaFace 06-18-2006 03:19 PM

Just for fun I did a web search to see where all this has popped up. Here are a few:

Video games:
Madden
Dunno what this is

Radio:
Big Sports

It's crossed the Atlantic!
Danish Forum

NFL Boards:
Bengals
Eagles

Sounds like it's making for "forward" email rounds as well. Nicely done, Rain Man, nicely done. :D

Yes! Keep going! Keep going, my little soldier!

JBucc 06-18-2006 04:53 PM

I tried to register at the Bucc's one but it wouldn't let me because it said I couldn't use a free email account such as yahoo or hotmail. Like I would pay for email.

JBucc 06-18-2006 04:54 PM

I also just realized that my name makes me look like a bucc's fan.

I guess I should get it changed to JChief, but I'm afaid to ask one of these mods to change it.

Rain Man 06-18-2006 05:09 PM

Wait a minute. You're not a Buccaneers fan?

A couple of them did, but some of them just say that they got it on "another forum."

This is also a testament to what we have going on here at CP. We have football fans from Denmark reading here and taking our knowledge back with them. We truely are Planetary! :)

(Well done Rainman, you make us all proud to associate with you!)

No worries.

I was just flippin' ya some shit.

I knew that was truly special when I first read it, which is why I made the comments on the thread.

Nice job, Kevin.

and this has been your Jack Handy moment........

Rain Man 06-18-2006 06:18 PM

I realize I'm at risk of ego-surfing here, but I'm realizing a dream of contributing to the garbage flow of the Internet here. It seems to have reached a Panthers Board and some type of Non-Orange Mane Broncos Board now, though the Broncos guy just posted it as his own (tsk, tsk). I need it to reach a board for all 32 teams (31 if there really are no fans of the Falcons) to meet my goal.

CHENZ A! 06-18-2006 06:27 PM

They didn't like your one about Plummer.

I thought this was pretty funny from the Panther board.

Did you see that guy's post count? Over 41k posts!! He must have started right after Al Gore invented the Internet!

For what it's worth, I've seen quite a few comments on other boards that they liked that one. Another thing I've noticed is that the Trent Green one is also well-accepted. Congrats on avoiding a homer-ific viewpoint.

You think the Broncos board would be upset if they realized the fact that a Chiefs fan wrote it after they've been saying how good it is?

JBucc 06-18-2006 07:08 PM

That thing's gone to seven pages at that Bronco place. I think that's longer than it went here.

Because the content here is better. The perfect-Carl post by Rainman was even better than this one.

Look closely, though. The thread's actually about the real Big Ben accident. Kevin's list was just posted near the end.

Oh. Those stupid donk fans don't even realize a good thread opportunity when they see it.

DaFace 06-18-2006 07:32 PM

Steelers

Browns

Jaguars

Colts again

The Original - mostly for my sake.

DaFace 07-08-2006 09:05 AM

After this reappeared on ebaumsworld, I figured I'd do a google search to see where else this has been posted now that google's web crawler has had time to catch up. So here are a few more. The variety is...well...interesting.

NFL Teams:
Chargers
Bengals (Another one)
Texans
Chargers (Another one)
Buccaneers (Another one)

Sports-Related Boards:
Fantasy Playmakers
Sports Outlaw

Random weirdness:
ebaumsworld
The Chronic Chronicle
Metal Sludge
Lindsay Lohan Fan Central :spock:
Random Guy's Xanga blog

International expansion:
Some Hungarian site

Thig Lyfe 07-08-2006 01:37 PM

Haha. Lindsay Lohan Fan Central. Nice.

bRainman is the online guy who taught Chuck Norris how to fight.

I taught him some cool things to say after his victories.
