Tomato based. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Wash him with it. Then, make sure you wash all of the tomato juice out of his fur.

You steal tomatoes from your neighbors then smash them on your dog.

Let nature run its course. As a person with no sense of smell, I don't see what the problem is :)

I've heard that before too. The hydrogen peroxide and baking soda seem to be common suggestions as well.

No sense of smell. Then I won't need to shower.

You "hear" that, like voices in your head. Maybe it was on Martha Stewart. In case your dog gets skunked before a big dinner party-use tomato juice.

Yeah, but peroxide can hurt if he has any wounds (or you while washing him). The acid form tomato juice will too, but I wouldn't think it would sting as much.

Yes, I've heard that tomato juice is the 'cure-all', but I was looking for alternatives. I control the voices in my head.

Meh. I always pour peroxide on my flesh wounds. It doesn't sting too bad.

You don't have to have your nose that close to someone to smell BO.

It's just a flesh wound. (said in best British accent)

Giving a pet a bath in tomato juice doesn't sound like fun. If he shakes anytime during it your bathroom will look like a crime scene.

Uh... okay.

I will say that I view not having a sense of smell as a good thing more than a bad thing. I can still smell a tiny bit, so strong smells trigger something (like smoke or something), but it's been in my experience most smells aren't good (i.e. skunk).

Do you have a yard? I was thinking setting up a kiddy pool in the middle of the backyards. Get yourself a rain pancho, and you're set!
