Yep I heard that somewhere.

BigRock 07-23-2006 04:49 PM

So how long will we actually have him? The Jets signed him to a multi-year deal, too. Herm talked last year about Law moving to safety in a few years... Law & the Bonecrusher could be pretty nice.

I thought New England was offering him more money than that.

If you are referring to Wesley, about the only bones he's ever in position to crush are the ribs at Arthur Bryants, and maybe the opposing team cheerleaders.

Uh, most informed one... Bonecrusher is our 2nd round draft pick S Pollard. Not Wesley.

Garcia Bronco 07-23-2006 07:33 PM

that's a great price

Did you just crawl out from under a rock.

Bonecrusher is Bernard Pollard.

HMc 07-23-2006 07:34 PM

It possibly a pollard reference.

The Pats have to save money because Deion Branch is holding out........

If Law is still here in 2 years he'd make a great FS maybe the best in the league.

007 07-23-2006 08:17 PM

Who's Ty Law?

Basileus777 07-23-2006 09:21 PM

PFT says the deal is not likely to be an expensive one, but then again its PFT.

LAW'S DEAL LIKELY NOT A GREAT ONE

The early consensus in league circles is that the contract signed by cornerback Ty Law with the Chiefs is not a great deal.

Why? Because hard numbers have yet to be leaked to the press by his agents, Carl and Kevin Poston.

For most contracts, the thinking is that if the details aren't made available within 24 hours, this means that the agent doesn't want the details to be scrutinized, which means that the details aren't great.

In the case of the Postons, the "24-hour rule" becomes the "24-minute rule."

A league source with knowledge of the Chiefs' negotiating strategies for free agents surmises that, given the absence of hard numbers, the package is likely a series of five one-year deals, with a sizeable roster bonus and/or an option bonus due in years two through five.

The educated guess as to the first-year money is a $4 million signing bonus and $1 million in salary, and that Law would get another $5 million or so in 2007 if the Chiefs decide to continue the deal.
