No Fire Carl Peterson threads today?
I wonder why?? I take back every negative thing i ever said about the man. : )

Dammit Carl!!! :cuss:

I think we should chip in and buy him a new Leisure Suit.

But as of today the Chiefs are a better team than they were yesterday and King Carl deserves some of that credit. |
Remember Tamba Hali remains un-signed!

But that doesn't change the fact that he has failed to deliver a SB in 17 years, and that I still look forward to the day when Carl steps down. |

“It got to a number where we were comfortable and they were comfortable,” Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson said. “Hopefully, he will be well worth the effort.” Gee, don't sound so optimistic Carl. |

Agreed, I pretty much feel the same way. Overall hes not awful and he always does "just enough" to keep the turnstiles spinning and get the fans hopes up. At least hes recognizes that he has a premiere back in the prime of his career and looks to be trying to build a premeire defense to support him. Today is one of his better days. |
Now that I have the Ty Law thing put to bed, I can work in earnest on the big issues, like the cheeziness of the nachos. There is no "off" position on the genius switch.
Your Pal, Carl Delano Peterson LTGMIPS (Longest Tenured GM in Pro Sports) |
Calls for his head will begin once again if Law fails his physical with KC and he lands with the Patriots.
|
That won't happen until Law re-injures his foot in training camp...
I will be happy if he turns out to have 1/2 the impact Hasty did when he joined us. DT |
Oh man, dtebbe's sales plummeted this weekend.

I'll stop dogging Carl if we win a Super Bowl during his tenure.

Vintage CP stuff here. Sees the decline in season ticket holders (aka "true fans), and HAS to sign Law. Might work out, but also a good chance the signing is 3-5 years too late if offense sputters becasue fo age/injuries. On the surface, looks like a good move, but defense should have been upgraded years ago. This might help Carl unload the rest of the 1/2 price tickets he's still holding for next year.

Problem is his choice of Coaches, not players... |
Signing Ty Law doesn't change my opinion of Peterson, and winning the Superbowl wouldn't either.
The fact remains that in 17 years he has won only two play-off games. |
