And the Chiefs lose out on an upgrade at DE.....another year of Hicks......I swear that dude is never going away, he's going to be around forever just to piss us all off.

Phobia 09-03-2006 02:45 PM

The Chiefs didn't "lose out", they never had an opportunity.

Mecca 09-03-2006 02:47 PM

I guess that's true the Saints would have a higher claim.....I doubt the Chiefs were interested in Haynes, they seem pretty comfortable with having Hicks around for some reason I have yet to figure out.

How does that work? Is it decided by draft order or something?

yes, basically

i think they break the ties different or something ... but it's based on the previous year's record just like the draft is.

He got several sacks about 20 years ago and is still riding that.

So with Haynes gone (Damnit Carl! :cuss: ), are there any other DE's available?

That's cause he isn't an idiot homer.

Anyone with half a brain knows that the Bengals is going to be a tough game, even given the advantage of an Arrowhead home opener.

Halfwit is clearly a misnomer.

Kenny Peterson Packers
Tony Bryant Saints, Ex raider
Bo Schobel Titans
All upgrades ( or more upside) and cheaper than Hicks IMO.

Hell, I'd rather of kept Arrion Dixon as a DE over Hicks.

Unfortunatly he is probably this years Jerome Woods, stealing a paycheck because of the cap.

Even if I thought we would lose, I would never say so-that would be admiting weakness. I think we are going to kick there ass-and I don't mind saying so.

I didn't read where he said he thought we would lose.

Every time you tell us that "Simms" sucks, you are admitting a Chiefs weakness.

I think we'll win, but there's very little chance it'll be an ass kicking.
