Game announcers were Card homers?

Solomon Wilcots, or whatever, used the word "Poise" to describe Matt Leinert about 8 times in the first half.

He stopped using it in the second half.

Way to go Chiefs D, you could even shut up a Leinert Homer who is in bad need of a Thesaurus.

DaFace 10-09-2006 11:04 AM

Sorry...I have to go with the "Who cares?" response to this one.

L.A. Chieffan 10-09-2006 11:07 AM

I didnt even know the Cards had fans let alone Homers.

StcChief 10-09-2006 11:11 AM

I will call him an NFL owner/ league homer.

The only thing that would have made this game a real 'feel good' story is if the two rookie QBs (Lienert/Croyle) were playing each other. To compare contrast college ball programs. :) :)

"The refs conspire against us, violent plays from opposing teams should always result in fines, and now even the announcers are against us."

Maybe some of you ought to change your site name to "Vagina Planet". The name would fit better and the logo would be pretty cool.

Agreed. I did however listen to the KCFX broadcast over the TV guys.

Look, the NFL and its broadcasting partners have a job to do. Sell its product and its future stars. I have no problem with that, its basic business 101.

If Leinert played for the Chiefs everyone on here would be talking about what great Announcers that CBS has.

Iowanian 10-09-2006 11:22 AM

They were having to fight with mecca for ball time...yeah...those kind of balls.

I didn't think the announcers are against us... more they want the 'new'
product on the field to succeed so bad it smells.

BTW... Go Ravens.

Yep, the new high profile QB will always get some run from the media. You picked a good week to be a Raven fan, Billick owns Shanny as bad as Shanny owns Belichek.

The word you're looking for is "illegal".

And that illegal takedown should and will be fined.

I hope Sterling Sharpe does the rest of the Broncos games this season. :D

When you add in the poster's handle, it just throws this over into the pretty darn funny category :thumb:

The funniest thing I've seen was the NFL Network coverage of the game. They showed all the big plays... except for this one little INT in the 4th quarter that let KC tie the score.

They never mentioned that, nor did they mention Leinart taking a big sack on their final drive that backed them way up, and then they basically blamed the kicker for AZ's loss. Like Leinart did everything he could and the kicker ruined it for him.

Leinart did do a nice job moving them on the final drive, but the way they completely ignored his critical mistakes was nothing short of hilarious.

They just seemed to be broadcasting the game from a typical Az fans perspective. Leinert is "poised". Edge is good, and the like.

Just seemed like they were homers for the Cards. Very tentative respectfull homers, but homers nonetheless. How does that make the announcers against us? They were completely respectful of the Chiefs, just looking at the chiefs as opponents rather than another team. Frankly, I could give a damn whether they were or not, just throwing that out there.

And besides all that, go fug yourself vailpass.

Like I said the announcers/media have a new product on the field that they want to succeed so bad it smells. His critics will come, he can whine then and blame the Cards line, etc after he's firmly planted as starter.

Anyone else chuckle when Berm and Tommy both exhaled sharply when Peytie-pie 'almost' got the Green treatment on his hook slide?

Vaginas weep, they don't chuckle.

Halfcan 10-09-2006 03:52 PM

The announcers were total dumbasses. They stroked Matt the whole game-even when he was on the bench.

Mecca 10-09-2006 04:22 PM

Not another announcer thread........the Cardinals were leading for most of the game, when the teams have the same shitty records the team that is winning should probably get a little more play.

I think some of you are under this illusion that the Chiefs are this top tier team that should get major respect when in reality they aren't.
