Zito should have a pretty good game, considering how many of the Tigers are free swingers.

This broadcast would be exponentially more watchable if Pinella would snap at least once every three innings and start thrashing the announce booth, cursing out Brennaman, and tearing up the stat sheets.

What I was gonna say though was I really like Joe Morgan. He is the voice of the mlb playoffs imo.

I'd be willing to sig bet that it's closer to 15. They'll probably make a stronger push for Schmidt anyway, since the Yanks tend to prefer pitchers clearly on the tail end of their careers.

He is the only one who knows how to play baseball, and he makes sure to let you know it, three times per play as he explains what happened, and then what should have happened.

Frankly, they can have him. IMO he is way overrated.

This game is a case in point, he is one pitch away from blowing the game. He diddles and dallyes way to much. If teams are patient with him, they can beat him.

Zito needs to man up right now or this thing is over.

He can be a great announcer, if he would just learn to help his audience enjoy the game by enjoying it himself.

He is not our coach, this is not a clinic, this is people usually popping a cold one trying to be entertained, and he does a poor job of that so far.

I think he has improved slightly this year over last though, so , as an announcer, he is "ascending".

Yeah I think thats what I like his voice just makes me think playoffs. I can't argue that his pure analysis couldn't use a little work though.

He hit barely over .250 this year. He's got pop, but there is a reason he's hitting 9th. I think he's less than .250 career, too.

I would definitely give them the edge. Ellis is out, and their manager is better. Their pitching is better, and their team average is way better.

No prob....I had to manage one of my friends' fantasy teams for him this year, and I looked at his stats and thought "goddamn, this guy fucking sucks", and cut him loose (he was in the low .220's at the point). Shortly after the AS break, he went bat shit (for Inge standards) and got up to the .250 point :banghead:

I come back to the puter and it is only the top of the 5th after a long lull, but no runs on the line score, so I go, oh great, they must have left a bunch of dudes on and failed to score. So I back the gameday scroll up and we get second and third no outs, then a coaching visit then K K (K)
