Oklahoma vs. Missouri Game Thread

Wel, I just paid DTV $21.95 to watch this, so I hope the Tigers came to play today.

GO MISSOURI!

Spott 10-28-2006 10:08 AM

Damn, it's on ABC for free here. For some reason, MU, KSU and KU football games are always on down here.

I'm in Big 10 hell. That creates an impenetrable shield against all other conferences. :#

Just because you paid, I hope they don't... actually, I'd hope that anyway...

Boomer Sooner!!!

Coach 10-28-2006 10:13 AM

Looks to be very windy there.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:14 AM

Crap. Not a good start. :shake:

Spott 10-28-2006 10:15 AM

We could really use the I formation sometimes. That running the ball out of the shotgun isn't really as effective.

PastorMikH 10-28-2006 10:15 AM

This will be a big test for MU. With Peterson out, I would expect a MU W, but this is OU and the fact that MU has historically been beaten so often by OU, that has to be in MUs head. We'll see.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:16 AM

What the fuck was that? :banghead:

Spott 10-28-2006 10:17 AM

What a run!

It's actually on ABC here.

Daniel just got them out of a huge bind there.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:17 AM

Wow. That had safety written all over it, but he got the 1st. :thumb:

I don't know... Patrick did pretty good last week... granted it was Colorado, but the announcer types were saying that CU had a decent run D...

Coach 10-28-2006 10:18 AM

Nice run.

And a Mizzou TD.

Bob Dole 10-28-2006 10:18 AM

Oh HELL yes! Nice catch!

Spott 10-28-2006 10:18 AM

Here we go.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:18 AM

WOW

PastorMikH 10-28-2006 10:18 AM

Sweet throw!

BTW, OU fans I've talked to this week are REALLY WORRIED!:D

I'll root for OU every other game of the year, but not today!

Coach 10-28-2006 10:18 AM

Spoke too early.

Out of bounds.

I think MU has a number of playmakers right now and Peterson was OU's primary/only playmaker. Looking at the teams and the games played so far, Peterson out makes quite a difference in OU's chances in most games from now on out.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:22 AM

Shit.

Coach 10-28-2006 10:23 AM

And the drive stalls.

FG is good.

Spott 10-28-2006 10:23 AM

3-0

True... but good teams have to step it up when star players go down...

Of course... the games not on out here in Louisville, but from ESPN's game cast we're not looking like a "good team" right now either...

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:23 AM

Sucks that we had to settle, but points is points.

Spott 10-28-2006 10:28 AM

Nice D. 3 and out for OU.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:28 AM

PUNT, BITCH!

I don't know about that. OU still has a good D and we did go down the field on them. And we just held their O to 3 and out. Other than settling for the FG, I don't think we could ask for much more right now.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:33 AM

Move the chains.

Spott 10-28-2006 10:33 AM

Good run after the catch for a 3rd down conversion.

Spott 10-28-2006 10:34 AM

Damn, you gotta catch that shit!!!

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:35 AM

That hurt. :banghead:

Spott 10-28-2006 10:35 AM

fucking Coffman. Drop a wide open TD past right to you, and then the next pass gets intercepted on a deflection.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:36 AM

Crap. :cuss:

PastorMikH 10-28-2006 10:36 AM

That hurt worse than the dropped pass.:banghead:

Spott 10-28-2006 10:39 AM

He got an extra half yard on that spot. Damn they should have sacked him.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:39 AM

That SUCKED. We should have had him.

Coach 10-28-2006 10:40 AM

OU got a generous spot on that one.

PastorMikH 10-28-2006 10:40 AM

Man, I'd expect a spot like that in Norman but Columbia???

He was short of a first down.:shake:

Spott 10-28-2006 10:40 AM

They should have reviewed that. Coffman is about to cost the team 14 pts.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:41 AM

fuck

PastorMikH 10-28-2006 10:42 AM

Well that turnover hurt.

I'll call it now, if this game is close in the 4th, Pinkel will screw it up with some bad calls.

Chieficus 10-28-2006 10:43 AM

WooHoo!!!

(I'm feeling out numbered here... :) )

Yeah, that spot was horrible, but they'd had went for it and probably gotten it easily.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:45 AM

Great. Coffman thinks he's Samie Parker. :banghead:

Spott 10-28-2006 10:46 AM

Good run by Franklin.

Coach 10-28-2006 10:48 AM

Oh boy....

Spott 10-28-2006 10:48 AM

Dammit! Turnovers are keeping Zero U in this game.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:48 AM

SONOFABITCH We are pissing this game away. :cuss:

PastorMikH 10-28-2006 10:48 AM

We GOTTA PROTECT THE BALL!!!!

Pitt Gorilla 10-28-2006 10:49 AM

Well, turnovers are what we do best.

stumppy 10-28-2006 10:54 AM

Holding ??? WTF

Spott 10-28-2006 10:54 AM

That holding call was complete BS. That same officials has screwed us twice on 3rd down.

Frazod 10-28-2006 10:55 AM

Officials are big Gooner fans today.

I knew you nebraska types weren't all that bad...

Spott 10-28-2006 10:56 AM

He never even grabbed him, and the pass was uncatchable. What a crock.

I don't think the catchable/uncatchable part applies to holding...

Spott 10-28-2006 10:57 AM

"Screw Nebraska" does have a place on this thread, however.

Yes, but the holding part does when you don't even grab him.

On the replay they just showed, there is no way there could have been holding there.

And I'm probably about as un-biased as I can be today since I like both teams.

Spott 10-28-2006 11:03 AM

Another damn fumble. We might as well just punt it on 3rd down.

PastorMikH 10-28-2006 11:03 AM

PICK THE STINKIN' BALL UP AND THROW IT OB YOU STUPID LINEMAN!!!!

Frazod 10-28-2006 11:03 AM

We have got to stop putting damn ball on the ground. :cuss:

Brock 10-28-2006 11:03 AM

oh man, that's ugly.

Frazod 10-28-2006 11:04 AM

Man, this is like a bad dream. :deevee:

Spott 10-28-2006 11:04 AM

Like I said, we should have punted it on 3rd down. I am not wasting any more time watching this garbage.
