You're the NFL Commish in 2010...

...the League has decided to expand by four teams in time to kickoff the 2014 season. 12 cities have the money, the leadership, and can have a stadium built in 18 months. Its up to you to decide.
(poll forthcoming)

Archie F. Swin 10-31-2006 09:38 AM

uh oh...I dont think I set it up for multiple choice

well shitcakes!

Redrum_69 10-31-2006 09:40 AM

Juneau, Alaska needs a damn Football team.

Some of the names of the team could be:

Northern Lights

Eskimos

Polar bears

Sea Lions

runnercyclist 10-31-2006 09:42 AM

Tokyo, London, Paris, Mexico City

Eleazar 10-31-2006 09:42 AM

No more teams plz.

Chiefnj 10-31-2006 09:44 AM

Vegas would be entertaining as the arrest rate of NFL players would exceed that of the NBA. Can you imagine the Bengals having to play in Vegas? They wouldn't be able to field a team by Sunday afternoon.

Jared and Boomer in Vegas??

Archie F. Swin 10-31-2006 09:58 AM

Any chance a mod could edit to allow multiple choices?

JBucc 10-31-2006 10:01 AM

Move the Jags to vegas. No more new teams.

Jacksonville is a good football town!

StcChief 10-31-2006 11:13 AM

Move Carolina to Vegas. They should have never got a team in the last expansion.... STL should have got Carolina. Lambs flonder on Left Coast.

Rain Man 10-31-2006 11:48 AM

Los Angeles, San Antonio, Memphis, and Portland off that list. Memphis and San Antonio are too good in terms of football fandom to leave off.

Here (in descending order) are the 12 largest U.S. metro areas that don't have NFL teams. Looks like the poll pretty much got the heart of the market.

Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, CA
Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, CA
Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, OR-WA
Sacramento--Arden-Arcade--Roseville, CA
Orlando-Kissimmee, FL
San Antonio, TX
San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, CA
Las Vegas-Paradise, NV
Columbus, OH
Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News, VA-NC
Providence-New Bedford-Fall River, RI-MA
Austin-Round Rock, TX
Memphis, TN-MS-AR
Louisville-Jefferson County, KY-IN
Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford, CT
Richmond, VA
Oklahoma City, OK
Birmingham-Hoover, AL
Rochester, NY
Salt Lake City, UT

I didn't see San Francisco/Oakland on that list. Isn't that a larger metro area than Sacramento?

chagrin 10-31-2006 11:54 AM

4 more teams would suck, I understand it's the NFL and all, but they are going to wake up one morning, and be the NHL all over again.

Thion out the talent pool, lower the overall competitiveness of the league - Great!

By the way Sir, are you ever going to get that trial off the ground or what!

BIG_DADDY 10-31-2006 11:56 AM

I choose none. The league is too dilluted as it is now.

Jaguars were the team that they picked over St. Louis. Charlotte was a given from the start.

ChiefsCountry 10-31-2006 12:36 PM

Move the Jaguars to Los Angeles, send the Raiders to Portland or Las Vegas, and that would be all I would do.

Portland & LA would be good as long as we use current teams. As much as I love football I have no faith that they will not diilute it and destroy the game. Greed will prevail.

cdcox 10-31-2006 12:41 PM

No new teams.

Too much dilution of talent.

The league is perfectly symetrical now. You'd have to go to 64 teams to recapture the symetry.

Simplex3 10-31-2006 01:35 PM

Adding more teams now would just be f**king with what isn't broken.

Archie F. Swin 10-31-2006 02:09 PM

dont see the Jags going anywhere in the next 20 years

Mecca 10-31-2006 02:25 PM

You'll probably eventually see 2 new teams.......L.A being 1 but you left out the other likely city if the NFL doesnt expand......Toronto. Don't be at all surprised if there is a team in Toronto at some point.

HemiEd 10-31-2006 02:29 PM

No Tulsa?!

Archie F. Swin 10-31-2006 03:38 PM

Gaz

hope you have a big backyard
