Drudge is reporting that National Enquirer is going to break a story on Rev. Jesse Jackson. I know this is a tabloid, but Drudge is on it, and from my experience he usally isn't to far off. If you are interested http://www.drudgereport.com There really aren't much as far as details or even a story (after all it hasn't broken yet), but it is enough to set the mind to wandering. A dangerous thing for some of us!:D Any ideas as to what Brotha Jesse has gotten himself into?

morphius 01-17-2001 09:07 PM

This could be very interesting, but I guess we will have to wait and see.

administrator 01-17-2001 09:07 PM

raiderhader,

I don't put much faith in the drudge report... but I put even less faith in "Reverend" Jesse Jackson. I really don't care if it is true... it doesn't make my opinion of Jesse Jackson any worse.

Kyle,
I thought that was true untill Slick Willie came along.

DaWolf 01-17-2001 09:12 PM

I'm not a big Jesse fan, but The Enquirer? Isn't that sort of like believing an article in Penthouse by Larry Flynt?

I know DaWolf, but as I said Drudge usally isn't to far off, from my experience.

Frazod 01-17-2001 09:20 PM

God, I hope this is true... it would really be interesting to see that racist c#cksucking maggot actually hide from the cameras for once.

Of course, it's probably all just a big conspiracy hatched by THE MAN! Right, Jesse?

Frazod 01-17-2001 09:21 PM

Wolf, that picture just kills me! LMAO!

DaWolf 01-17-2001 09:22 PM

LOL. If a credible source came out with the story, I would LOVE to see the Reverend try to spin around that one...

DaWolf 01-17-2001 09:24 PM

Frazod,
Just having some fun. Someone at work emailed me this site, I thought it was hilarious...

http://www.bushorchimp.com/

Raiderhater 01-17-2001 09:27 PM

I don't know if you guys think of Rush as credible or not, but he is were I first heard about this. He didn't give specifics, not even who it was about, he just said that someone informed him there was going to be a story break late tonight on a certain web site (and Drudge was the first that came to my mind) and a certain paper in the morning. I take it Rush knew which paper, and it isn't like him to belive something from there, unless he knows something we don't.

Raiderhater 01-17-2001 09:31 PM

It just broke. If you belive it, Jesse has a love child. And paid the misstress to relocate to LA. This really isn't that hard to belive, despite the source.

This explains why Rush was singing Love Child by Diana Ross today.

Frazod 01-17-2001 09:33 PM

I hate to admit it, but the chimp looks smarter.... :D

That's okay, though. GW has lots of smart folks to do the thinking for him! In any event, I'm sure he's smarter than he looks. Christ, I hope so.

Frazod 01-17-2001 09:36 PM

Maybe Bill will come to Chicago and pray with Jesse... :D

This is great!

Raiderhater 01-17-2001 09:39 PM

Man this story is ridiculous! Jesse took his pregnant lover to the oval office during the Lewisky scandal. This good news. I am interested to see if he still goes through with protesting the innaguration.

Frazod 01-17-2001 09:43 PM

I've got this awful imagine in my mind featuring Bill, Jesse, Monica and Jesse's mistress.

Then Arafat showed up with box of cigars and a couple of sheep, and things REALLY GOT INTERESTING!!!

Raiderhater 01-17-2001 09:45 PM

ROTFLMAO! Ohh Fraz, now I have that image stuck in my mind. Thanks alot!

Frazod 01-17-2001 09:50 PM

heh heh heh

Twisted and LOVING IT! :D

Raiderhater 01-17-2001 09:53 PM

The really bad thing is I am going to bed now and will have that image with me tonight. I'll talk to ya'll later.

DaWolf 01-17-2001 09:54 PM

Hmm, that does bring up a good point, the timing on this thing is impeccable, don't you think?

;)

Frazod 01-17-2001 09:55 PM

Sweet dreams, dude. If you can't fall asleep, try COUNTING SHEEP! :D

Raiderhater 01-17-2001 09:58 PM

So much for going to bed. Hey, lets play their games with 'em. Rember, they are the ones who broke the story about Bush's DUI 2 days before the election. I find it to be great timing. Especially with Jesse going around claiming the that Bush stole the election by disenfranchising black votes in south Florida. What goes around comes around.

Raiderhater 01-17-2001 09:59 PM

Ahhh, now that just isn't right Fraz! LOL it is funny though, or would be if I wasn't the one going to bed.

ck_IN 01-18-2001 07:00 AM

Damm, so the Rev fathered a child and paid the mom off. I was hoping this story would be something significant.

I've no doubt that the good Rev has his fingers dirty from enough pies that something of value could be brought to light. After all the dear man has no problem slinging mud at his detractors, I would love to see him on the recieving end. But this doesn't cut it. Too bad.

Frazod 01-18-2001 08:07 AM

Its true! I guess Jesse overlooked that pesky "adultery" commandment while he was passing judgment on everybody else in America.

Kind of makes you wonder what he was advising Clinton about. How to get away with it? So much for that good advice.

I hate this fucker, and can't imagine a better way for him to go down in flames. Welcome to the ranks of Bakker and Swaggert, Jesse!

Twist and squirm, b!tch!

Be back later to see how this one's taken off.

Bricky 01-18-2001 09:54 AM

LOL at Kphobia. Maybe Jesse should take his own advice.

Gaz, unfortunately, is correct. This will only slow Jesse down for a little while.

This should be even more of a scandal because he is a reverend. Just think of the scandal if a well know Catholic Bishop had this kind of thing happen to him. How would the press treat it? How would the public react?

Did the hush money come from Jesse or the Rainbow Coalition?

Mark M 01-18-2001 10:15 AM

ROTFLMAO!!! fraz and gaz are killing me!

Supposedly, Jesse "Happy Pants" Jackson gave the woman a $300,000 house and is paying her $10,000 a month!! My question is, where is getting all of this jack? I thought preachers were supposed to have modest incomes, realizing that the meek shall inheirit the earth. I guess all of that special interest money is going for a special interest, alright!

And you guys wonder why I'm independent in my political beliefs ... neither side can be trusted to not be hypocritical, judgemental a$$holes. No one is without fault, and those who call out people the most are usually the ones who have the most skeletons. I wonder if the NAACP or ACLU is going to defend his actions. Should be interesting. This isn't about democrats, because democrats don't have the market cornered when it comes to infidelity and hypocracy. Do any of you remember why Bob Livingston stepped down?

This Jackson scandal reflects poorly on CHRISTIANS. Another one of the best-known Christians in this country has lower moral standards than I do?! I'm beginning to doubt the sincerity of any Christian that claims to have superior morals.

Can ANY of you keep it in your pants?

Virgins need not respond.

DanT 01-18-2001 12:56 PM

Here's a link to the ACLU: http://www.aclu.org

Here's a link to the 13th Annual Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering that happened last August:
http://www.prescottinfo.com/arts/CowboyPoets/

I reckon the latter organization has at least as great a chance of mounting a defense for Jackson as the former, whose chance is zero. You'd have to have a very vivid imagination to think that the ACLU gives a yodel about a person disgracing themself in this way.

Here's another organization with about a zero chance of getting involved in whatever "defense" Jackson might mount, the National Carpet and Floor Inspectors Directory:

http://www.carpetinspectors.com

At least "carpet inspecting" has SOMETHING to do with what Jackson might have been doing with his little lassie.

[Edited by DanT on 01-18-2001 at 01:08 PM]

Mark M 01-18-2001 01:30 PM

DanT--
My point was that these organizations have been allies of Jackson in the past, and I'm wondering how they will feel now that their "model" spokesman has been called out for something he, as a rev., should be against. I'm not talking about a legal defense, just how they will handle having Jesse speak on their behalf. No need to be an a$$hole about it.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. I hope so.

DanT 01-18-2001 02:06 PM

Mark M,

You were definitely misunderstanding me if you saw anything in my post as a personal attack on you. I was disputing the idea that the ACLU would defend Jackson in this scandal. Not only is Jesse Jackson not a model spokesman for the ACLU, but the ACLU wouldn't give a leap if he were or weren't. The ACLU defends folks who hate its guts as well as its admirers and as far as I know has never mounted a defense for anyone unless there was some obvious Constitutional issue at stake. In 2001, having children out of wedlock is not likely to result in any Constitutional issues needing to be defended.

Also, the idea that they would defend Jesse Jackson just because Jackson happens to agree with the ACLU on a bunch of issues is so inconsistent with the ACLU's history and mission that I wanted to dispute that idea, not personally attack you. By the way, most Americans agree with large parts of the ACLU's interpretation of the Bill of Rights: I doubt anyone on this board, for example, could go to their website, look at their positions and come back saying they didn't agree with much of it.

Has there been a response from Jesse on this yet?

MM
~~Trying to refocus the thread from a DanT & MarkM love/hate fest to the topic at hand.

DanT 01-18-2001 02:39 PM

Statement from Jackson [as reported in today's Chicago Sun-Times]:

I am father to a daughter who was born outside of my marriage. As her mother does, I love this child very much and have assumed responsibility for her emotional and financial support since she was born.

This is no time for evasions, denials or alibis. I fully accept responsibility and I am truly sorry for my actions.

My wife, Jackie, and my children have been made aware of the child and it has been an extremely painful, trying and difficult time for them. I have asked God and each one of them to forgive me and I thank each of them for their grace and understanding throughout this period of tribulation. We have prayed together and through God's grace we have been reconciling.

No doubt, many close friends and supporters will be disappointed in me. I ask for their forgiveness, understanding and prayers.

I was born of these circumstances and I know the importance of growing up in a nurturing, supportive and protected environment so I am determined to give my daughter and her mother the privacy they both deserve.

I will be taking some time off to revive my spirit and reconnect with my family before I return to my public ministry.

This is a private and family matter and to protect all those I love I will not discuss it any further beyond this statement.

Mark M 01-18-2001 02:59 PM

Interesting ... thanks Dan!

Clint, just so you know, I don't belive Brotha Jessie to be a true Christian. He stands for to many things that are anti-Christian. This is not judging him, just my personal opinion as a Christian.

Frazod 01-18-2001 08:48 PM

This has been one the greatest days in American politics that I can ever remember - to see this lying, hate-mongering, hypocritcal piece of shit get nuked by the press, issue that pathetic "pray for me" statement and disappear like a rat into a sewer is really just, well, magnificent. I wonder how Hillary reacted to this news - finding out that the pious Mr. Jackson, while preaching forgiveness and reconcilliation toward her weasel husband, was boning his own staffer at the time. It'll be interesting to see these two together at the next Demonrat fund raiser. And speaking of funds, I wonder how much Rainbow/Push money went into hushing this up and relocating the bimbo? Time for an audit, perhaps? Hmmm...

I've always been amazed that this turd EVER had any credibility with anyone. How can anyone calling himself a "reverend" behave this way? This really should seal it. Wherever he is, I hope to God he stays there!

Raiderhater 01-18-2001 08:56 PM

Fraz,
I couldn't agree with you more. But I rather doubt that he stays gone to long. Unless there is an audit and it turns something up. And this is quit possible since Brotha Jesse's friends are no longer in power. I can see it now, Ashcroft, the man Jesse has been demeaning the past few weaks, leading the investigation into illegal use of funds.:D Poetic justice at its best!

[Edited by raiderhader on 01-18-2001 at 09:00 PM]

Frazod 01-18-2001 09:00 PM

That would be great, RH. Ashcroft nailing Jackson. That would be perfect.

Unfortunately, he'll probably be back. This fucker's like Jason from the Friday the 13th movies.

Love the Van Gogh smiley, BTW...

Raiderhater 01-18-2001 09:10 PM

Fraz,
unfortunately you are probaly right, although again, he doesn't have the Clinton justice dept. to help him out. Instead he has a law and order guy with a law and order boss (I have been waiting for this for 8 years). So who knows.
Thanks, I kinda liked it myself. Oh, I did get to sleep last night sans any nightmares. No thanks to you. ;)

Yeah, then you would have good old Hillary as your senator.:) Maybe you could email the stuff to him. I just hate to see talent like that go to waste.

Frazod 01-18-2001 09:43 PM

I think I'll keep my emails to myself. I'd hate to end up like Bill & Hillary's bodyguards/partners/drug smugglers...

New York, I nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there. Now, I don't even know if I want to visit it again.

Raiderhater 01-18-2001 09:50 PM

Yeah I get your point. Well you could go in to business for yourself than. A little stand up comedy?

Frazod 01-18-2001 09:56 PM

Oh, I've thought about it, but I'm more of a smart-a$$ than anything else. And I wouldn't even know where to start.

Besides, I'd have to give up all this! I'm on a quest to unseat Morphius as King No Life! Only a couple of thousand more posts to go.

Frazod 01-18-2001 10:10 PM

I'm watching the Chicago news right now. They're putting just the type of liberal horse shit spin on all of it that one would imagine. "He slipped," they said. "He stumbled," they cry.

Yeah, he slipped, and stumbled, and stuck his dick in another woman, knocked her up and fathered a bastard child, then dumped thousands of dollars into paying her off, shipping her out and shutting her up. All this while being a Baptist minister. Well, I'm a Baptist, too, and I'm wondering if a reverend committing ADULTERY isn't ground for getting fired from being a minister. This certainly isn't the type of guy I would want preaching to me on Sunday.

This guy is SCUM. PERIOD.

Rick Stephens 01-19-2001 05:57 AM

What credibility doe's Jessee Jackass really have? He is a bigot and racist. He thinks every issue is a cause for racism. He stirs up trouble so that he can keep his name in the news. Only when he is in trouble does he decide to take time off. If he can't stand the fire get out. His followers must really be stupid. How can they give him money? For what! So he can screw a younger women, and give her a $385,000 house plus $10,000 per month. This is what you get for the Reverend of Sex. Another question is, how can he advise Bubba Clinton about his affair with Monica when he was fooling around, at the same time he was fooling around himself? Maybe the two were comparing cigar stories!!!

[Edited by Rick Stephens on 01-19-2001 at 06:01 AM]

Clint in Wichita 01-19-2001 08:13 AM

Once again, this isn't a DEMOCRAT issue, because good ol' republicans like Bob Livingston have been guilty of the same thing Jackson is.

This is a CHRISTIAN issue. Jackson has joined the ranks of other scumbags like Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggert.

NaptownChief 01-19-2001 08:34 AM

I disagree Clint cause guys like Bob Livingston didn't spend his life running around pretending to be Americas Leading Moral Authority...Or throw the title Rev in front of his name for that matter...

Joe Seahawk 01-19-2001 10:21 AM

Now I know why he calls that orginazition operation "push" (or something similar) Looks like his mistress found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow coalition...:)

Frazod 01-19-2001 11:07 AM

Clint, you make a valid point. I have no respect for scumbags like Swaggert and Bakker, either. For that matter, I believe the vast majority of televangelists are con artists who use the religious convictions of stupid people to get rich, regardless of who they're boning or not boning. HOWEVER, you don't see Jim Bakker howling racism and hypocrasy on the evening news every night. Jimmy Swaggert wasn't praying with the President in the White House. These guys aren't mainstream. At least until yesterday, trying to avoid Jesse on the news was like trying to avoid Muslims at Mecca. He's always judging this person, damning that group, condemning such-and-such ideology - telling all the rest of us how we should live by his high moral and ethical standards on every network and cable news station while he's fuckING THE HELP AND SPENDING THOUSANDS TO COVER IT UP! This goes way beyond what the other guys did.

As for Livingston, he was just as wrong as Jesse. He then quickly and quietly fell on his sword and went away forever. Unfortunately, I doubt if we can say the same thing about Jesse.

Clint in Wichita 01-19-2001 12:30 PM

Believe me, I'm not about to defend Jackson. He deserves whatever he gets.

I was just making the point that this isn't a party issue.

IMO infidelity is as widespread among politicians on Capitol Hill as it is among professional athletes or entertainers.

The only reason JJ stands out is because he's a reverend that babbles about morals and ethics.

Frazod 01-19-2001 12:39 PM

In truth, it isn't political. But politics makes it political. The same Democrats who rush to Jesse's defense would condemn any Republican who did this. Of course, the reverse is true as well.

Remember when Jesse condemned GW for driving drunk in the 70's? He said any man who would do such a thing, regardless of how long ago it was or how young he was at the time, would be unfit to be president.

Of course, if a married minister in his late fifties screws another woman and knocks her up, what is he fit for?

The old parable about stones and glass houses comes to mind. Of course, few politicians live in non-glass houses. But then again, most of them don't live in front of television cameras like Jesse does.

Fraz,
is there anyway you could start a petition or something within the Baptist community to have him removed? Of course you will have to beware of the terrible consiquences that would follow for doing such a thing.

"I say now ah, these attacks ah, on me are racist and ah, bigoted. When one of our ah, bruthas falls down do we not stop to help him back up? Do we not encourage him to repent and move forward? The only reason ah, these people would try to have me removed ah, is because of their ah, obvious feelings ah, of hatred. This is obviously an attempt by some bigoted group of ah, people who want to destroy me. For ah, what other reason would these people ah be trying to do this?" in my best JJ imitation (as well as a white boy can imitate a brutha)

Frazod 01-19-2001 11:51 PM

I'm not an active church-goer, RH, and don't know much about such things, except the fact that a reverend certainly shouldn't behave in such ways.

On the other hand, my grandfather is a Southern Baptist minister (I know this might come as a shock to some of you). I'll ask him about it next time I talk to him. Of course, I doubt if anything could be done. Even if the Baptists defrocked him, he'd just start his own church and keep on going, like the Energizer bunny from hell.

Unfortanately, he'll be back. You can count on it. Hopefully he'll be forced to keep a somewhat lower profile, but that's the best we can hope for. This shameful scandal is already starting to fade into the background between the impending inauguration and Slick Willy's latest weasely tactics.

Raiderhater 01-19-2001 11:56 PM

Well it was just a thought. And even if he did go start his own church he would still have the embarrassment and disgrace of of being defrocked over his head. And the only way I can forsee him being out of the public eye for a long time is if there is something illegal found by the IRS.

Frazod 01-20-2001 12:10 AM

People like Jackson only answer to one authority - themselves. He views his followers as sheep, non-followers as the enemy, and doesn't give a fuck about what either group things. If you think this turd has even a shred of a conscience, I've got some swampland in the Sahara to sell you.

If the IRS goes after him, he'll just spin it to be another example of THE MAN going after poor black folks.

The best thing to do is ignore him, just like the trolls on the other board. He feeds on attention. If the cameras panned over him instead of focusing on him, he'd shrivel up and die within a week.

Of course, like the trolls on the other board, its just so much fun blasting him that we lose sight of the fact. I must admit I've enjoyed seeing him twist in the wind as much as watching a good Chiefs a$$-whuppin of Denver.

Raiderhater 01-20-2001 06:15 PM

Fraz,
I agree that the best thing to do is to just ignore him. But the liberal press will always give him his say on things, and therefore he won't go away. So what do ya do? You are d@mned if you do, and d@mned if you don't.
