UCLA thrashing USC

0-0 in the 1st quarter

Coach 12-02-2006 04:11 PM

That number 12 for UCLA is shredding that vaunted SC defense with his arm and legs.

TD Bruins.

Bowser 12-02-2006 04:12 PM

Mecca on suicide watch.

RealSNR 12-02-2006 04:14 PM

"Pete Carroll is in disbelief as the holes open up for the run for the Bruins"

7-0 UCLA.

cdcox 12-02-2006 04:14 PM

They are starting a bunch of freshman and sophomores. I didn't expect this young team to do as well as it has. /Mecca

ChiefsfaninPA 12-02-2006 04:17 PM

I could care less about UCS but I will absolutely love if they lose just not to have to read a Mecca post for awhile.

Mecca 12-02-2006 04:19 PM

One score and the games over eh......

Coach 12-02-2006 04:22 PM

SC stuffed. They'll have to punt it away.

Coach 12-02-2006 04:23 PM

Oh wow, that's a reviewable call, and they didn't bother.

Holding penalty results a safety.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a "town," Bob.

Oh, and Houston-Rice. I knew I was forgetting an easy one.

Coach 12-02-2006 05:34 PM

Looks like a defensive struggle goin on.

Coach 12-02-2006 05:47 PM

UCLA driving.

Bearcat 12-02-2006 05:48 PM

10-9 UCLA

Coach 12-02-2006 05:48 PM

FG good.

UCLA - 10
USC - 9

chagrin 12-02-2006 05:54 PM

oops

chagrin 12-02-2006 05:57 PM

I am curious, what are the "experts" saying about the margin of victory on this - IF USC wins 23-20 or 17 for example, does it still guarantee the title game for USC? I haven't paid attention to that part, figuring that USC would simply "get in" if they won the game, regardless of the score.

Crush 12-02-2006 06:05 PM

Nice looking catch and UCLA is driving.

Coach 12-02-2006 06:08 PM

Wow, nice run and a PF on SC.

Lzen 12-02-2006 06:09 PM

So who plays in the title game when USC loses this game?

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:09 PM

USC defense is having a breakdown of sorts here, they look frustrated - hope UCLA doesn't choke it out and turn the ball over

I will give you 4 guesses, but you can only choose teams in my signature, heh

Coach 12-02-2006 06:11 PM

jesus, terrible playcalling/execution.

FG good for UCLA.

I was wondering if it would be Michigan. IMO, Michigan is better than USC this year anyway. So, it would be fitting. Still, this game isn't over yet. USC may still be able to pull it out. UCLA should have gotten a TD there.

I agree obviously, but I am still curious is margin of victory will play into this. USC can still score points, so if they win by 3 or 7 points do they still get the gimme invitation.

Lzen 12-02-2006 06:16 PM

One question. What if USC goes on to win this game and Florida continues to kick Arkansas' butt? Will it be Michigan or Florida?

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:16 PM

I'm still intrigued by the idea of an 8 team playoff, that might be pretty cool.

Bearcat 12-02-2006 06:17 PM

I think Florida would have to destroy Arkansas to get the spot... 10-0 UF at the moment and it could be worse. Neither team is all that impressive so far though.... maybe we should just crown OSU and call it a day

It would still be Michigan, due to the BCS computer score thingy, nobody wants to see Florida in that game, they just don't have the support of the voters across the country

Chief Chief 12-02-2006 06:17 PM

That would be wonderful!

Chief Chief 12-02-2006 06:18 PM

That would be the best way to decide the National Champ, IMO.

Coach 12-02-2006 06:19 PM

Arkansas is gittin whupped.

Which is entirely possible with Houston Nutt making the decisions for Arkansas.

He should have yanked Casey Dick in the first half last week, and this week is shaping up to be a repeat.

banyon 12-02-2006 06:23 PM

Please let USC lose.

I want sportscasters to have to have these ridiculous arguments about who "deserves" to go more, Michigan or Florida.

There's no good criteria, which makes the BCS look like the BS that it is, and the playoff push will get stronger. The more years in a row like this the better.

tk13 12-02-2006 06:23 PM

I just saw the highlight, I guess if Florida totally dominates Arkansas, then they may move into the #2 slot, if USC loses. They have to kill them though, but a shut out might do the trick. All I hear though is that Florida won a few games just by a few points and then scheduled cupcakes towards the end, so WTF knows if they beat arkansas by alot

Coach 12-02-2006 06:25 PM

Oh, that dude from UCLA got f**ked up!

What's going to be funny is how many will insist that it should still be USC even if they lose.

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:26 PM

that jumpin up and down shit is sooooo stupid

WilliamTheIrish 12-02-2006 06:27 PM

Boot-AY is sacked.

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:28 PM

oh great, and here we go - abc cranking up the USC support train

Coach 12-02-2006 06:28 PM

3rd down now for SC.

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:28 PM

CRUCIAL 3rd down

They'll claim that "late season losses shouldn't carry more weight" within weeks of dropping Michigan to #3 after they lose by 3 to OSU on the road.

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:29 PM

who did dwayne walker coach for in the nfl?

Nevermind, I just saw...it was THE DONKS!!

Coach 12-02-2006 06:31 PM

4th down.

SC to go for it.

Bob Dole 12-02-2006 06:31 PM

Holy crap.

Did anyone else see the official who spotted the ball looking at the far sideline to check out where it needed to be for the first down?

Coach 12-02-2006 06:32 PM

Barely got it.

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:33 PM

fuck!

keg in kc 12-02-2006 06:33 PM

I'd like to see Jane Douchebag Booty throw a pick here.

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:33 PM

well, there it goes, a TD and it's over - shit

Thank you - that argument "they already had their shot" is garbage

Bob Dole 12-02-2006 06:35 PM

Anyone else get the feeling that Brent Musburger will break down and cry if USC loses?

meStevo 12-02-2006 06:35 PM

feels like one of those comeback drives in madden that are just about unstoppable sometimes at the end of the game.

though sometimes you manage to snag a pick...

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:36 PM

USC has gone into a 2 mintue "O" of some sort and UCLA is playing prevent or something...ridiculous

keg in kc 12-02-2006 06:36 PM

I smell a TD coming.

With a missed xp and then UCLA winning by 1 on a last-second FG.

Bob Dole 12-02-2006 06:37 PM

hahahaha.

Just go ahead and give them the TD, you ****ing clowns.

of course, he already sounds like he totally gets off when USC does anything, and they don't bring that broad from the sidelines on unless she touts USC

keg in kc 12-02-2006 06:37 PM

WTF was that no flag business?

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:38 PM

idiots, yeah let's just play back, we'll be fine

Coach 12-02-2006 06:38 PM

Wow. That's terrible. After they picked up the flag, the game clock didn't even run until after the snap.

Bearcat 12-02-2006 06:38 PM

Nice timing... UF can go into the lockeroom and watch USC score a touchdown.

keg in kc 12-02-2006 06:39 PM

I'm shocked there wasn't a PI in the endzone.

chagrin 12-02-2006 06:39 PM

STOP THEM!!!

It was the second consecutive play where Booty was leaning backward before the snap, but we can't be having USC lose this game, so it was waved off.
