Hmm... I think you should give a fluck, since Lamar did bring a franchise to Kansas City, and did alot of wonderful things to Kansas City.

C'mon dude...it's one thing to say that you don't feel personally attached to the guy, but to say that you "don't give a fluck" that the man who created something you love? :shake:

I wouldn't say I don't give a damn, but it's definitely not healthy to have serious emotional distress regarding the death of a person you've never got to know, talk to, or develop a real relationship with.

I really liked Lamar, and I wish he was still here, but to say that it really disrupted my everyday life. Not so much. I respect what the man did, and admire his contributions to football, and the Chiefs, but it really isn't something that just puts a daggar into my heart.

I remember back when all the mayonaise sandwhich eating trailor trash cried their lungs out when Dale Earnhardt bit it. Was he that much of an impact in their daily lives to warrant a sob session? I guess so

Al Bundy 12-14-2006 11:07 PM

Hmm he's only been a fan for 17 years... not really surprising, kind of jumped on the bandwagon right when the winning started.....

boogblaster 12-14-2006 11:07 PM

Sorry you dont feel..I for one was real glad he was here in the midwest giving us a NFL franchise....

There wouldn't be a team you claim to be a fan of for 17 years if it wasn't for Lamar oh brilliant one.

For all dumbasses such as mac58 who don't understand how Lamar had an effect on them personally...

Without Lamar there would be no Kansas City Chiefs.

Pretty simple to understand... even for bandwagoning vaginas such as mac58.

It is probably because you haven't been paying attention, either that or Phobia is right...

Of course being from New York, eh...

Dang, Mr. mac58.

I have to wonder what state you're in.

Simplex3 12-14-2006 11:16 PM

I didn't know the man personally. I don't pretend to be any more busted up about his death than I would be about the death of any other person who's accomplishments I'm familiar with. It wouldn't be healthy for me to be as emotionally tied to this as some others are.

I'm glad he's not suffering, but mainly because I've recently lost two close relatives in the same way and I know how difficult it was for them and how much pain they were in.

As for the "delete this thread" responses: Get over yourself.

Phobia 12-14-2006 11:16 PM

Dude - I agree. No sense crying over it. That's a little much for me.

But this thread is the other extreme.

No one says you have to cry.

All you have to do is recognize the influence he's had on your life.

Without his influence, you wouldn't have the Chiefs to cheer for or anguish over.

Without his influence you wouldn't be here, sharing your opinions on the Chiefs, football, sports or life.

No one is saying you need to be crying your eyes out over Lamar's death but for you to say you don't give a shit about Lamar's death and that Lamar had no effect on you, reveals you to be a dumbass of epic proportions

Demonpenz 12-14-2006 11:20 PM

To be honest, this is something a dumb annoying seven year old sister would say. But at least they'd have the decency to not write about how they don't give a fluck. Sir, I would bet alot on everyone not giving a fluck if you just stopped posting here. Or, rather, they'd be glad.

FAX 12-14-2006 11:22 PM

Everyone has the right to respond however they wish to Lamar's death, Mr. mac58.

But, this is a little like walking into a wake and taking a piss in the coffin. Some people are rightfully moved by his passing. Here in Nashville, for example, my friends know that I'm a Chiefs fan and I've gotten calls all day expressing condolences. It's affected a lot of people. It's their feelings you might want to consider as well as your own.

I think to each his own.....but to post a thread like this is his way of yanking chains IMO.

Am I as despondent as I would be if he were family....no.

But, I was a lucky man to have met him on a couple of occasions. And his accomplishments are something that you admire him for, along with his humility. I thank him for all that he has given by bringing the KC Chiefs to their existence, and the joys that I have had being a fan.

No, I am sad because in a time where millionaires seem to believe that their wealth bestows upon them a sense of being better than the next person, here was a humble man in every sense. He was, what all of us hope to be.

Nobody cares to see Chiefsplanet become your personal diary. You need to have enough sense to keep things to yourself.

Wow... I'm an out of the country fan, and I've only watched them for 13-14 years. I still felt sadness today. The Chiefs wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. I wish I had met Lamar before he passed, and I wish they could have one the big one for him one last time. Sadly it wasn't meant to be.. RIP Lamar.

Dude, you are an insensitive prick. Fluck you.

Bald but Beautiful 12-15-2006 05:32 AM

mac58. you are pretty shallow to actually start a thread about this at this time. I have shed no tears, but I am still saddened by the loss of Lamar Hunt, the man behind one of my favorite sports team and a class act to boot. Being a Chiefs fan like you claim, you should have kept your East Coast smugness to yourself and let the rest of us mourn with dignity while not sacrificing your integrity in the process.

classy...and well timed

thanks for making Lamar's death all about you...we all needed to know that you're self-absorbed, seriously...never would have guessed a Gen-Y bandwagon fan with a Myspace page wouldn't understand the significance of Lamar's death or have the common decency to just shut the **** up and realize this is a Chiefs message board full of die hard, life long fans...

next time you have the bright idea to tell us how you feel about anything - teletubbies, the Disney Channel, Avril Lavigne - PLEASE DON'T...unlike your emotion-swallowing single mother we don't have to pretend we care, and we won't cut the crusts off your toast or tell you its ok to quit Vo-Tech like you've quit everything else in life...

here's to you Mr. The-World-Only-Exists-Six-Inches-From-My-Face-Guy
