Lets kick the crap outta Oakland

Personally an Ass beating of the Raiders would make me feel a lot better considering that inn the back of my mind I allready knew we weren't going to the playoffs. Now that the P word is out of the way we can just enjoy the last two games and an Oakland beating would definitly be worth it. Im talking 49-3, not 21-10. Then lets take out Jacksonville and ruin their parade. Would that make the season at least somewhat salvaged for everyone else?

Brock 12-18-2006 08:02 PM

Sure, let's sacrifice a few draft positions for a meaningless win.

Draft pick wont be used any better if we had a high pick, anyways I'd like to think were not total losers that we'd get to that point.

boogblaster 12-18-2006 08:11 PM

Drafting is about the same after the 1st round..most people playing in the NFL are after the 1st round anyway..might as well end with two wins...

Chicago Bears

Oakland Raiders

Guess that blows the "you need a solid defense" to make it to the SB theory.

No.... I think it still stands. But you also need an offense that ranks near 2 on a scale of one to ten. Oakland's offense doesn't deserve a ranking of 1 on that scale.

Remember when talking smack was fun?

Unfortunately we've been reduced to fighting over the last cookie at a tea party.

Halfcan 12-18-2006 09:45 PM

The way this team has played-I think it is very doubtful we leave with a win. I mean we lost to the Browns.

Sorry but this team has no heart.

We have plenty of heart. It showed against the Chargers. We just aren't very talented.

Halfcan 12-18-2006 10:08 PM

This team quits the first sign of trouble. Green goes down-we quit. Ty falls down in Pitts-we gave up and were stomped. Miami came out pumped up and we folded like a beach umbrella. Against the Browns- we gave up at halftime.

No heart.

No and frankly at this point it is hard to care. I just hate losing to Oakland.

Halfcan 12-18-2006 10:17 PM

Okay, if you think we played with heart in the Browns game when we could not even tackle a backup QB on a huge run- I guess we must be talking about something different.

I guess if you want to say certain players didn't play with heart you would be right. But this team hasn't quit - AS A TEAM - in any game this year. Even in Pittsburgh they were fighting until the end.

HermIsKing 12-18-2006 10:25 PM

go chiefs is right. Herm will not let this team quit.

They fight to the end evry game. all 24 starters, even Kendrell Bell.

Halfcan 12-18-2006 10:28 PM

Players with heart...

LJ
Gonzo
DJ
Pollard
Green
Huard
Allen
Hali

the rest.....not so much. Herm has heart but no balls. Gun has heart but no brains.

How can you say Shields has no heart?

We've got plenty of heart. We're just short on talent.

The only "heartless" players I've seen this year are Sims and Wesley.

Frazod 12-18-2006 10:35 PM

I'd just as soon we lost out. That just might get Gunther canned, along with some of the other dead weight around here.

Right now we're just playing for draft picks, and God knows we have needs. The present is dead - to hell with it. I'd rather tank the last two games and move up a couple of spots.

Hammock Parties 12-18-2006 10:36 PM

I don't want to lose to the Raiders.

The Chefs ALWAYS win games when winning is the last thing you want to do.

So yah, I am expecting to win both games and be saddled with a worse player in the draft than if we played it smart and lost both.

Dats da troof. Even if we outplay you, you will win. Witness:

Raiders took a lead into the 4th quarter against Denver. Got 3 INTs & made 'em punt 7 times. Then lost by 4.

Next week, pathetic Raider offense outgained the Chiefs at Arrowhead. Took a lead into the 4th quarter & lost by 4.

Then went to DoltLand, made 'em punt 5 times, stopped 'em on 4th down, got an INT. Took a lead into the 4th quarter & lost by 7.

If you lose, you will be the laughing stock of the league. Well.... right behind us, that is.....

StcChief 12-19-2006 10:00 AM

Time for Law/Surtain to get the picks they dropped earlier.

Hali/DJ/Allen to up their sack count.

TG to have 100 yd receiving Day 1 TD

LJ 150 two TDs.

EK 100 receiving 1TD.

Blow out
Chiefs 37

I don't want to lose to the Raiders... but the difference in a few draft spots could be very, very big down the line.

Imagine if we picked at #18 instead of #15 when we stole DJ. We'd be fucked right now.

Yeah, either that or we would have just picked another player, like Luis Castillo or Marcus Spears.

The difference is huge, IMO. We could've had Merriman instead of Derrick Johnson a couple years ago then. I'd rather have Merriman, he's more of a gamebreaker than DJ. DJ doesn't have "it" so far. Hopefully he developes it. He's been solid, but definitely not worth the 15th pick in the draft so far...THAT could change though, hopefully.

Demonpenz 12-22-2006 12:58 AM

i just want to win because it will be the last time to cheer for the home team until next year. If you squint hard enough and drunk long enough they almost look good.
