Is there a good Chiefs book worth buying?
I got some Amazon.com gift cards for Christmas and need to go shopping. I don't have any Chiefs history or encyclopedia like I do the Royals.
Amazon carries these: * Kansas City Chiefs Encyclopedia by Mark Stallard (Hardcover - Oct 2004) *Warpaths: The Illustrated History of the Kansas City Chiefs by Alan Hoskins (Hardcover - Aug 25, 1999) *The History of Kansas City Chiefs: NFL Today by Brian Hawkes (Hardcover - Aug 2004) Does anybody have these? Anybody know if they're worth owning? Thanks BTW, I've already passed on Carl Peterson's "Hail to Me, the Chief: My Five-year Plan to Create a Dynasty" |
i think otis taylor wrote a book u might wanna check that out

I keep meaning to pick up Otis Taylor's book, and am embarrassed that I haven't.

I have this one, good book.It looks as though Amazon has it in a combo package with the KC Chiefs Encyclopedia
Arrowhead: Home of the Chiefs is a monument to imaginative and aesthetic sports arena architecture, still after 25 seasons. While other arenas of its era are being replaced, Arrowhead continues to draw compliments as the best there is for football. Relive 25 years of Kansas City Chiefs football history in Arrowhead: Home of the Chiefs, the official history of the Kansas City Chiefs and Arrowhead Stadium. |
These are good I hear.
General Managing for Dummies by Carl Peterson Auto Restoration 101 by Bam Morris Yeah! I'd Eat That by Ryan Sims (It's a cookbook) Bootlegs by Eric Hicks Slip and Slid by Ty Law (A how to book on selecting proper footwear) |

I really liked Marcus Allen's autobiography. It's not exclusively about the Chiefs and their history, though.

BTW, I have the Chiefs Encyclopedia. A good book for catchingup with the past, and for combating know-it-all's in this board. |
