Would you want to have an identical twin?

Not necessarily an evil twin or anything. Just an identical one.

Advantages:

1. Built-in pal of the same age throughout life.
2. You can see how clothing looks on you without a mirror.
3. You can score with each others' wives on moonless nights.
4. Easy to confuse authority figures seeking to blame you for offenses ranging from truancy to murder.
5. Easy to build your own nature vs. nurture experiments.
6. Possible secret language.

Disadvantages:

1. Generally creepy to know that there's another one of you running around.
2. 1/3 of time - called by right name, 1/3 of time - called by wrong name, 1/3 of time - called "the twins".
3. Probably get shafted on birthdays.
4. Possibly harder to get top secret clearances.
5. Possible frameups for murder if twin is indeed evil.
6. Probable splitting of the vote for "Most likely to succeed", "Best looking", "Most studious", etc., in high school.

Yes. If the anti-abortionists had caught you, they would have killed you in the womb.

CHENZ A! 01-17-2007 09:54 PM

No, but I would like to have a robot that looked and acted like me(maybe not exactly like me, that could be bad in some situations), that I could have stand in on things that I don't feel like doing.

88TG88 01-17-2007 09:54 PM

i would. i think if i had an identical twin i could kick his ass. this would work ot great. nothing could possibly go wrong

You don't want two of me around. No-one would know there were two of me. One would always be somewhere obvious to set up the alibi while the other carried out our nefarious plans.

Wow, this thread started out about the pros and cons of having a twin. But now, it's just about baby murder and various abortion techniques.

How cool.

BucEyedPea 01-17-2007 10:26 PM

As stated earlier in the thread...the sibling rivalry would be murderous in such a small space.

If I only had a dollar for every time I read a post like this.

BucEyedPea 01-17-2007 10:33 PM

I have non-identical twins in my family, boy and girl.

When you walk through doorways, do you ever collide with your twin because you both thought it was a mirror?

Wouldn't they have been expecting to walk into a mirror anyway?

I'd kill the bastard who confused me with a mirror.

I choose not to answer that question as to not incriminate myself.

This doesn't have anything to do with abortion, but according to Gillian Anderson, some folklore suggests that doppelgangers are real, Mr. Rain Man.

They are like an identical twin, but if you're a good person, your doppelganger will be evil and vice versa.

Not only that, but when you see your doppelganger, both you and your doppelganger die. So, in that respect, they're a lot like doppelgangbangers.

FAX

Extra Point 01-17-2007 11:10 PM

If they are doppelpoontangers, they would die if they did it with the eversoslender Mary Kate Ashley, cause there's not enough to go round.

FAX 01-17-2007 11:13 PM

Good additional point, Mr. Extra Point.

Of course, the ones to really look out for are the doppelwangfangers. Those buggers bite and they go right for the swinger.

Extra Point 01-17-2007 11:31 PM

For some reason, it kind of annoys me to know that my psycho ex-boss's doppleganger is caring for lepers in Calcutta while curing cancer and global warming.

Chiefs_Fan 01-18-2007 10:10 AM

I've met a few twins where I would like to have both of them...at the same time of course...before I was married of course.

Redrum_69 01-18-2007 10:17 AM

Can you imagine multiple Redrum-69's??
