I believe we use to go to Municipal to watch? Do not remember the building but I believe it was before the arena.

Wrestling has been like that for the last 25 years. It's almost always been about marketing and not workrate. The one time when that wasn't the case was in the post-steroids, pre-attitude WWF of the mid 90's when Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were the top dogs of the fed. Great workers/storytellers who got there not on their Hoganesque charisma, but their amazing athleticism.

it used to be pretty cool back in the day when it was on TBS Saturday afternoons. Flair, Rhodes, the Andersons.....now it's just kind of a joke.

The NFL is rigged. Is it a coincidence that the Patriots got great after 9/11? Is it a coincidence that the Chiefs (after Lamar Hunt died) had the stars aligned for 3 great times to lose at home that allowed us to back into the playoffs? Is it a coincidence that one of the worst teams in the NFL last year got to the NFC Championship game after the Hurricane Katrina natural disaster? Is it a coincidence that the Colts with the biggest media darling is finally going to win the super bowl this year. Makes you wonder :)

Although it is scripted, there is still some incredible athletic talent involved for many of the wrestlers. Some are better than others, and even without the scripting, they could give some jaw-dropping performances.
