Final Four Predictions

I don't think I have to ask who is going to win it all... The answer is obvious.

But with the victor known, who are they going to play to get to the finals and what team are they going to beat to win the championship.

DaKCMan AP 03-22-2007 01:18 PM

Florida will beat Ku to get to the finals and then will defeat the Hoyas to complete the repeat. Another scenario has them trouncing Ohio State in a championship game -- again.

Really?

Old Dog 03-22-2007 01:20 PM

My bracket has:
Florida, Kansas, Georgetown, and Memphis in the Final Four

KU over Georgetown in the final

is florida going to be playing next week, or kansas or north carolina or ohio state????? All 4 could lose this weekend you just never know but I've got a gut feeling that florida will be the first no 1 to lose and that KU will win it all

We shall see.. If I had to pick the first #1 out I'd say OSU tonight to Tennessee. I don't know if OSU can score enough to keep up if Tennessee has a good shooting night.

Who do you have Florida losing to?

Natty_Light_Man 03-22-2007 01:27 PM

Having a little fun with the arrogant KU Fans......

Ohio State looks to be the weakest of the #1 Seeds....

The final 4 - (any team making winning tonight or tomorrow night) is worthy and could win it all..

One has to go pretty far back to find as much evenly matched talent with the teams in the sweet 16.

If they happen to beat KU, guess who'll be staring them in the eye? That's right; UNC bitch!

CoMoChief 03-22-2007 01:29 PM

KU against UNC.

This board will implode and call for Self's job if he loses to Roy. lol.

I'd be more concerned with KU or Georgetown than UNC.

And UNC will wear them down, just like they have most all opponents w/ 7-starters. BTW: UNC has 11 starting caliber players.

Facts are facts. Anything can happen though as we all know.

Georgetown looks strong and getting better game by game....

We are in for some excellent basketball over the next couple of weeks.

i don't know who they will lose to and its just my opinion is that they peaked last year and most of the teams in the sweet 16 this year are better than those that made it last year. Also if KU and Florida rematch I think KU will win, we have already beaten them and this team is about 3x better than the team that beat them in november

mikeyis4dcats. 03-22-2007 01:48 PM

I have Florida, KU, Memphis, and Gtown.

Florida over KU
Memphis over Gtown

Florida wins it all.

I still have a good shot at winning our pool. Would have been golden had OSU lost to Xavier as I predicted.

Vegas_Dave 03-22-2007 02:04 PM

I said it before the NCAA Tournament and now I will say it again... watch out for UNLV.

As I've stated on here before, I'm torn between the two teams. Wife went to UNC. Wife's cousin played for UNC (was a senior the yr. before they won it all.) Roy used to coach for KU obviously that is an additional contributing factor. I love both of these teams and as far as i'm concerned, if they play: I'll have already won!

And the Florida team is exactly the same as it was that night and hasn't improved at all.

pretty much, hard to improve when you were ranked number 1 in the country

Thank you.

Natty_Light_Man 03-22-2007 02:33 PM

How about Tenn., UCLA or even Memphis with only 3 losses. And let's not foget A&M....

This is the weekend for upsets.....

Just for comparison's sake ;) this year's team compared to last year's team is averaging:

- more points per game
- a larger scoring margin per game
- a higher FG %
- a higher 3pt %
- more rebounds per game
- a larger rebounding margin per game
- less turnovers per game

You're joking, right?

Last year's Gator team was ranked #1 at some point during the regular season. They then lost a bunch and went on a tear through the SEC tourney and NCAA tourney and won it all. Thus, they improved AFTER being ranked #1 in the country.

Chief Chief 03-22-2007 02:44 PM

Kaun is KU's weakest link: he has trouble putting in the close-up shots and free throws, and picks up too many fouls. He won't survive a match-up against Florida's center.

this just supports my theory that they peeked in the tourney last year so obviously they would be better during the regular season since they peaked in the post season last year

Direckshun 03-22-2007 02:50 PM

Oregon
Kansas
Georgetown
Memphis

Simply Red 03-22-2007 02:55 PM

Save your BS riggamarole. All of you. ANYTHING can happen at this point. I shouldn't even have said UNC would most likely beat Florida because as we all know and history supports: "Anything can happen."

Natty_Light_Man 03-22-2007 03:07 PM

Agreed....

Fasten your seatbelts - we are about to experience a ride like no other.
The NCAA Sweet 16.

Sam Hall 03-22-2007 03:24 PM

I predicted KU, UNC, Florida and A&M. I just need A&M to beat Ohio State. I feel confident about the others. I have KU beating UNC is the final.

Obvious, like OSU beating Florida in football.

I had Florida, Kansas, Georgetown, and Tennessee.... but I also had Louisville playing Tennessee and Texas playing Georgetown

RealSNR 03-22-2007 04:03 PM

Memphis is a very talented team. Wouldn't be surprised to see them kick some ass

OSU pulls out yet another victory. How many more do they have in them... Will Memphis be so forgiving?

Chief Chief 03-23-2007 07:34 AM

In a word...YETH!!

Lzen 03-23-2007 08:49 AM

After that performance last night, I'm picking OSU and KU in the final game with KU winning, of course. Hey, I'm allowed to be a homer, damn it.
The other 2 FF participants will be Florida and Georgetown.

Sam Hall 03-23-2007 08:51 AM

Who didn't get screwed by A&M last night?
