Trent Green Press Conference Today?
Just saw on another board that apparently Trent Green is going to have a press conference today at 1:30 pm Central time. The board got it from 810 Sports apparently.
|
Well, players don't typically have PC's to announce they've been traded......
Has he decided to retire? Stick around and compete? |
it will be a Q&A with Whitlock
"so, Trent, how big an ass is Carl? "so, Trent, how unfair is it that Carl isn't giving you away for nothing?" "so, Trent, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............" |
I hope he retires.
|
I hope his wife does porn.
|
weird
|
my guess is another opportunity to say the same thing

I'll go ahead and let you guys in on the scoop. After many hours of negotiations with Trent he has decided to retire so that he may pursue his long term dream as a boar semen collector. He said in a statement this morning that it's what he's really wanted to do his whole life and that he has a natural talent for his new career. "Why would I want to be throwing a football around and running for my life when there's so many boars that need to be collected". said Trent. Carl knew that Trent had been secretly collecting boar semen during his off season but never confronted him with it. But now the cats out of the bag and it's time to move on. Trent said "I've been waited to blow a wad up a sows vaginer my whole life and now I can do it and feel good about it"
|
Maybe it is to announce this...
Eric Hicks signs with Jets By RANDY COVITZ The Kansas City Star Former Chiefs defensive end Eric Hicks signed as a free agent with the New York Jets today. Hicks, who will be 31 in June, spent nine seasons with the Chiefs before he was released on May 1. Hicks was a seven-year starter for the Chiefs and ranks fifth on their all-time sack list with 44.5, and a career-best 14.0 in 2000. Hicks originally signed with the Chiefs in 1998 as a rookie free agent out of Maryland. He appeared in 128 games for the Chiefs, making 104 starts. |
What? No more joint press releases that everything is amicable?? Say it ain't so.
|
I'd secretly love for him to retire and just stick it to Carl. Come on, all we were ever going to get was a 7th round pick, a scrub/NFLE/practice squad player that wouldn't pan out anyway.
Seeing Trent get the last laugh and Carl get shown up both by him and the Dolphins would be awesome. |

Just curious on the retirement thing. How was Seau able to retire from the Dolphins, and then a week or so later join the Patriots? Did the Dolphins still hold his rights at that point and have to release him? Is this something Green could do as well?

My how things can change in a year.
Last year everyone was confident in Greens ability...then he get a cheap shot on him and suffers a bad concussion. Now everyone who was on Greens side is against him. Bunch of band-wagoneers |

You think we can get a 4th for a 36-year-old QB who didn't play well last year coming off a serious injury? You're nuts. |

Marques Colston. I think TJ Houshmandzadeh was also a 7th rounder. |

The Chiefs have made good on several late round picks in recent years.

PC is already on....what has happened so far?

The Dolphins' plane dropped off Trent's pads at KCI yesterday
|
Green is just blabbing about how much he loves Miami.
No real news to report. |

Pretty much.

Miami has some kick ass Creme Brulee
|
"They never asked my opinion on that."
Shut up, bitch. You got tossed out of the head coach's inner circle and now you want to whine about? |
he's whining because he says it's "not fair" here, but in miami, where he knows the offense better than any of the young QB's, it's going to be a "fair competition"....what bull, it sounds like he's just cherry picking where he wants to go the most...
sounding very whiney....boo hoo, poor trent....i really don't like the fact that he's badmouthing the chiefs because they won't deal him to the only team where he can start |
The "journalists" in KC suck.
They've had weeks since his rant with KK to prepare questions, and in the time I've been listening no one has asked a different or difficult question. Same old, same old. |
"When Terry Shea was fired, and I wasn't even aware that it was coming, that was kind of a blindside..."
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! |
I bet this PC doesnt go up on the kcchiefs.com website. lol
|
Why does TG feel it necessary to be to including in the hiring/firing of coaches? Businesses don't ask employees for the OK to hire and fire personnel.
What a bunch of crap. All he's doing is tarnishing his rep at this point. |
It is sad to see someone you admired, is just another spoiled brat
|
Green just needs Rhonda Moss to come out of the crowd, give him a big ole bear hug and get that cry out of the way.
Green doesn't appear to like CP any longer. He "just wants to go to Miami". He sounds alot of kids who "just want a cookie" before dinner. |
This is so funny.....
Trent has/was the best QB to grace a Chiefs uniform since Montana or Lenny.. And to watch you guys defend him one year then totally whine like little bitches the next is so commical.... Good thing DT still wasnt playing or leaving, you guys would be bashing him as well... Carl has fucked over the fans and the city of KC more than any player and you guys give him the benefit of the doubt more than not... Trent is smart, He doesnt want to play for a loser coach, he wants to finish his career on a high note and he sees that KC is not the answer anymore... More power to Trent... But his preformance in KC is by far better than any other QB in the history of the Chiefs... (except Lenny). |
Quote:
Can you blame him? Do you like Carl? I sure the hell dont.... |
Now he's dodging the fair compensation question.
Blamed the Chiefs for showing their cards too quickly. Hey Trent: They did that out of respect for you, as wrong as it is now....... |
Quote:
Seriously, I'm just asking. |
nothing worth anything
petro even sound whiney at the ending of the thing |

I sure think he's being a whining bitch, considering his worst option is to not play, and recieve $7 million dollars this year.
rerun, is carl your father? You sound like AJ Soprano's emo phase regarding anything CP. I find it funny to hear Millionaire players whining about what management does and doesn't tell them. In the real world, much much worse happens to employees every day. I've found out on the front page of the paper my office was moving, or I had a new task and the like before. I've had owners of a company call the day of a bid letting and withdrawl my contract winning proposal an hour before it was finalized, without mentioning it, and found out from teh clients "wtf" call. I am not a CP fan.....but business is business, and I feel Green hampered this trade by excluding any team but Miami. |
DT is and never will be close to the player DT was in his day. You can fall out of favor with someone really fast when all you do is whine about wanting to go to a team that doesnt really want you.

But I still dont like CARL... |
THat was IT? Nothing to report...why the hell bother with a press conference?

Well I glad we got that all cleared up? WTF
Soren did have that whoop-tee-doo sound to his voice. He was the first one to say "I'm not going to beat this Trent Green thing anymore"......Then Keitzman opens with it and makes an entire show out of it. |

I say screw that. If Croyle is the man, give him 6 or so, and 2 apiece for the rest of them. |

"Is it my wife? My kids?" "No, no, no. We're, uh ... look, I'll just come out and say it: We're letting Terry Shea go." "What?" "Yeah, we're just going in a different direction." "I ... I ..." "Um, you OK? You look pale. Do you need a glass of water?" "No, I ... I'll be all right. I think. I just ... I just can't believe this." "I know you and Terry were close." "He was like my stepbrother ... or maybe a second cousin once removed. You know, the kind who lived in the same town, who you would see all the time. Or at least at summer family picnics. I mean, he was my COACH, y'know? We had a bond. We sipped pinot noir together at Dick and Carol's vacation chateau. We mocked the defense together. He did the best Eric Hicks impression, it was so funny ... and now he's so gone." "We understand. This must be tough on you." "Yeah, it is. Well, thanks for telling me. I appreciate that." "No problem. We felt we owed it to you." |
Quote:
That would be a wise move... Now is the time to get younger and see if we have anything in Croyle.... Huard and Green arent going to get it done. |
I think Croyle needs a PC now...just to add fuel to the fire...heheheheh...

What if Brodie gets hurt in camp? Trent would have won the starting role by default if he was playing well. Brodie could have played like shit in camp, and Trent could have started. Trent could have just flat beat Brodie out. But he'd rather whine about having to compete. And if he really wanted to finish his career on a high note, he'd stay here. Miami is going nowhere fast..... |
Trent should threaten to speak Spanglish until he is traded.
Why? Because it would be funny. Whining isn't funny. |

I dunno though, we saw a flash of Trent in 06 when we drafted Croyle. He was doing the draft coverage for ESPN or whatever, and actually said something along the lines of "I don't know why we drafted a quarterback..."
...I think he felt the beginning of the end before even last season started... |
