1995 nfl season review
on nfl network at 8 central if anyone wants to relive the heartache.

1995 Chiefs - Exhibit A as to why Rich Gannon should have been our starter, and why Marty can't win in the playoffs
1997 Chiefs - Exhibit B as to why Rich Gannon should have been our starter, and why Marty can't win in the playoffs |
Instead, I think maybe I'll go home and poke a safety pin into my eye socket again.

1995 was a great season... it was the dawn of a new era in Denver. Shanahan arrived, Rod Smith began his illustrious career and a little known rookie RB from Georgia took his first steps to becoming a legend.

A legend in your own mind, perhaps. "Legends" are folks like Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Bronko Nagurski. Lil' Terrell doesn't even come close to filling those shoes. |
Eric doesn't like the 1995 NFL season, the NFL network, heartaches, 8pm, Rich Gannon, Marty, the playoffs, home, safety pins, eye sockets, Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Bronko Nagurski, Terrel Davis, or puppies.
Yeah, f**k puppies. |

I was referring to a legend in regards to the franchise... morons. And, it was nice to see that 1st catch on the show - greatness!

I agree that TD was a Great RB. Just was pointing it out. There is just too much hostility on this board lately... I think we all need a beer. |
The big knock on Davis is longevity and while he really only had 4 strong seasons... 1995-1998, the guy has a hell of a resume.
Among the league's all-time top 50 Rushes: 50 Rushing yards: 42 Rushing TDs: 35 All-time franchise rushing leader: Terrell Davis - 7607 yards +----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+ | Reg Season | 81 games| 1655 7607 4.6 60 | 169 1280 7.6 5 | +----------+-----+--------------------------+-------------------------+ ---------------------+-----------------+----------------- Playoffs - 8 games | 204 1140 12 | 19 131 0 2,000 yard rushing season NFL MVP SuperBowl MVP Two SB Rings 3-Time Pro Bowler The guy played in 7 seasons, struggling with injuries the final 3... but, that's a hell of a resume. Sadly his career was ended early, but there are a lot of guys out there with longevity that never achieved what TD did. So, take it for what you will... I don't care. |
