Have you ever?

had horrible stomach pains? It seems I've had an upset stomach since 2 a.m. I haven't been able to sleep much tonight due to that. Everytime the pain flared up it'd wake me up. Little pissed right now to, had to call in and I never do that.

Any suggestions? Antifreeze?

headsnap 09-25-2007 05:07 AM

is your appendix still in?

shrek6849 09-25-2007 05:09 AM

Usually doctors can be helpful.

The pain is right in the middle of my stomach, it says usually if it's your appendix, it's on the lower right side.

It's probably something you ate. Quite a few years ago I woke up with severe stomach pains, they were so bad I ended up waking the Mrs up and was going to have her take me to the emergency room but they ended up subsiding before we left. I blamed it on Taco Bell.

Phobia 09-25-2007 06:19 AM

There is still hope for this thread.

When is the last time you did the poopie?

I had stomach pain once that I thought wasn't an appendicitis because of the location. Once the doctor pressed on that spot, it changed my mind. I'd only had the pain for a bout 12 hours before I went to the doctor, but my appendix was getting close to rupturing by the time they took it out. I'd go to the doctor, just to be safe. Besides, it could be an ulcer or something else that the doctor can help with.

It could be gastritus. A good healthy dump should get everything moving again.

You're probably pregnant. When did you have your last period?

C-Mac 09-25-2007 07:12 AM

Flu

Yesterday. Trust me, I wish I could take a dump. I don't feel constipated but it just makes me think if I took a gochiefs I'd feel better.

Still having pains, like to take a nap but the pain keeps me up.

I'm gonna blame it on the state fair cinnamon rolls we bought Saturday. I ate three (they are small) Sunday and it gave me the poops 20 minutes later. I ate two yesterday afternoon, so I'm blaming it on them.

OKC, I'm afraid to move. It doesn't hurt as bad when I'm on the couch, it's when I get up and move around that kills me.

Use the phone and call some of the clinics I just posted. Explain your symptoms.

FAX

shrek6849 09-25-2007 08:28 AM

Stick your finger up there and see if you can lodge anything loose. If this fails, try two or three, and if need be, the entire fist.

Also check your prostate while your inside. Might as well kill two birds with one stone, ya know?

Thanks, if it's not gone by noon I'll give them a call. I did poop though and it didn't help any.

tmax63 09-25-2007 08:40 AM

I have pooped (if you can call it that) 17 times since Sun afternoon. And that is a conservative estimate. Grape gatorade makes real ugly poo. Point is we've got a flu bug out here that has helped me lose about 10-12 lbs in 2 days. Sounds like you oughta get checked out by a doc though. Hope you get to feeling better.

I thought earlier it was better when you were up?

Jilly 09-25-2007 11:36 AM

It sounds like gas...but maybe it's your gall bladder?

luv 09-25-2007 11:42 AM

What did you eat last night, and how late?

I have woken up with some bad indigestion before. I feel kind of nauseated, and I have this pain that starts in my chest and goes to my back. I usually take some Gaviscon, some Aleve, and settle in my recliner to sleep through it. I can't fully lie down, because that makes it worse.

Mr. Laz 09-25-2007 11:44 AM

if it's gas then the position you are in should change the pain.

sounds goofy but lay on your back .... stomach .... side ... standing up .... laying down with pillow under hips.

if the pain changes significanly by different position then it's gas and you just need to take some of the many gas killing medicines available.

gas + constipation = very bad

kccrazzi 09-25-2007 11:53 AM

It is your gall bladder!! Go to the Doc. The pain does go away but it will be once they start to act up it is best to have them removed. Your gall bladder helps with digestion, when it stops/acting up you feel bloated/gassy.

high stress job ... terrible eating habits ... parties and beer.

used to carry around a bottle of Maalox in my back pocket. :shake:

i had a bad habit of forgetting to eat. A stomach that is completely empty for extended periods of time isn't very good for you. Your stomach's own acid starts to screw things up.

remember one time when i work like 20 hours straight(no time to really eat) and then went home and slept for another 8 hours. Made the mistake of taking a drink of orange juice when i woke up.

after getting back up off the floor and drying my eyes ..... i reminded myself to eat something very bland on a completely empty stomach.

Wile_E_Coyote 09-25-2007 12:24 PM

I passed a gall stone a few years back. PAINFUL Caffeine will agravate it. Thought I would drink a 7-up to settle my stomache. No 7-up available, drank a Mountain Dew instead. MISTAKE!

I was down on my knees beating my fist into the floor

BIG_DADDY 09-25-2007 12:37 PM

Go get 4 oz of wheat grass, it will kill whatever is in there. I would follow up with some probiotics for the next couple weeks.

Certainly you looked at the last busload of cosby kids you dropped off? What was the color? Any red? Yellowish? Red is bad, could be ulcer, tumor. Yellow is bile and could be gall bladder or just too much acid from what you ate. Probably just gas, but could be irritable bowel syndrome. I would see a doc.

Dunit35 09-25-2007 02:05 PM

The pain has gotten better. Still experiencing pain just not as long or severe. I don't know if this makes sense but I can tell my stomach is very sensitive right now.
