<img src="http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/attachment.php?attachmentid=73602" align="absmiddle" border="0" hspace="0" vspace="0" /> <b><font size="4">CPIggy 2.1.0 Released</font></b><br /> *** Curent users please read installation instructions *** </div> <hr size="2" width="100%" /> <i>2007-11-04: CPIggy 2.1.0 has been released tonight.</i> <blockquote> CPIggy is a fully-functional ignore script for use on this BB. As many of you know it's been a work in progress for several weeks. Tonight it reaches what I consider "feature complete" and the only major bug has been corrected. So tonight I'm releasing it as 2.0.0. Having trouble? Want to help? There is a tech support/issue tracking thread in the Media Center forum: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showt...ghlight=cpiggy </blockquote> <i>Features:</i> <blockquote> * Places a new item in the ChiefsPlanet main menu to launch it's configuration dialog * Maintains a list of ignored users and performs the following for them: * Removes threads started by them from forum listings * Hides posts by them * Hides quotes by them in other people's posts * Removes comments from them in your rep screen * Places an icon beside user names in threads that will add them to your iggy list * Will optionally remove the two links to the Washington DC forum * Supports update checking (both manual and automatic daily checks) * Blocks threads based on a keyword list </blockquote> <i>Upgrading from Previous Versions:</i> <blockquote> 1. Open your CPIggy control panel and copy down your iggy list 2. Go to Tools->Greasemonkey->Manage User Scripts 3. Click the CPIggy version you currently have installed 4. Check the box that says "Also uninstall associated preferences" 5. Click the Uninstall button 6. Install 2.0.0 from this link: <a href="http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/12975.user.js">http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/12975.user.js</a> 7. <a href="http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/12975.user.js"></a>Reload any open ChiefsPlanet pages 8. Replace your iggy list </blockquote> <i>Installing for the first time:</i> <blockquote> 1. Install Greasemonkey from <a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748" target="_blank">https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748</a> 2. Restart Firefox 3. Click this link: <a href="http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/12975.user.js">http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/12975.user.js</a> 4. Click the "Install this script" button on the right 5. Choose "Install" from the dialog that pops up 6. Refresh the CP page 7. Click the new "CPIggy" menu option on the ChiefsPlanet main menu 8. Add users to the Ignore Users list 9. Enjoy a CP experience free from those users that just won't get banned </blockquote> <i>A Final Word (for now):</i> <blockquote> I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support. I was frankly a little surprised at how well this project was received. There are several other features (like checking the first post of each thread and making determinations of a "spam" type score) that would be great but are simply too costly to do from the outside looking in. If anyone has some ideas for handling that or any other features please PM me, the source code is in a Subversion repository and I would happily accept patches. If someone is contributing I'm willing to give them write access to the repository as well.<br /> So what's next? Well, I'm still looking into busting a cap into that POS editor we have on here. Due to the high volume of code that would be required and the need for a significant number of binary files it's not really feasible as a Greasemonkey script. However, it is prime for a Firefox plugin. On this one I don't believe it will be ChiefsPlanet specific. I'm looking at something more generic that you could point at any text area on any website and get a better editor. I'll keep you informed on how that's going.<br /> Again, thanks to everyone for using CPIggy and making my efforts worthwhile. </blockquote> |
Looks good to me.

Great job, Simplex.
Someone should contact htismaqe, jspchief and others who have left due to the dipshittery and get them back here. |
Simplex - If we get a few people giving this the thumbs up I'd like to add this to our FAQ, or somewhere similar, if that is cool with you.
I'm just disappointed the only way to get new features on this site is through the users, as God forbid we ever get off a 3 year old beta version of this software. |

I found a problem with the old version, and I don't know if it was addressed.
Say you want to block someone with a name with a space in it.... say like "DaKCman AP" you put your usernames with a space in there, and I assume it looks for "DaKCMan" and "AP", because the person didn't go away. any thoughts? |
i like the new hotlink to your ignore list in the CP header.

I've released the script under the BSD license, so anyone is welcome to use it anywhere. |
LMAO
This is awesome Simplex. Nice touch with removing DC. Great ****ing job!! |
Nice work. The editor not good, but with Firefox spellcheck at least you have something.
|
Well today is the first day I have the chance to installl this on my PC.. So looking forward to putting people on ignore...
See you Gochiefs and his tribe of cock holsters... |
Holy crap this is the greatest thing since sliced bread....
You have single handily made the message board readable again.... thank you, where do we send the beer? |
LMAO ...so technically there will be several different versions of the planet.....wonder what this will do to cross thread humor ...:hmmm:
|
Relax..I'm busy tonight, but plan on finishing the update by the weekend.

I do like the "add user to CPiggy ignore" button but I can not see the CPiggy menu header when im on "AT WORK" mode.
I also have to put users in w/ case sensitivity. I remember you fixed that, but now it is back the same way again. Minor problems, though. Thanks! |
Quote:
Oddly enough, treating names with case-insensitivity upped the script runtime dramatically so I added the icon and went back to case-sensitive. I may add that back in if I can come up with a smarter way to do that. |

hey my cpiggy option disappeared after I upgraded
|
Quote:
Also, where are you looking for this "option"? |
Quote:
:hmmm: wasn't it on the chiefsplanet toolbar next to search |

Then re-add cpiggy. If that doesn't work you might try reinstalling Greasemonkey. |

I'm keeping an issues log over in the Media Center forum. If you're having problems with CPIggy please drop a post there so I can keep the list updated and mark them off as they're fixed. |
Very cool. Thanks for all the work. One thing - the CPiggy link doesn't seem to show up anywhere when the "style set" is set to "at work". Sorry if this has already been brought up. I didn't read the whole thread.

i had some weird things happen when i didn't uninstall the previous version of CPiggy. Just remember to remove the old one when you install the 2.0 version. |

Getting an error. I uninstalled the last version, then installed the new one. This is the error I get when opening the forum.
|
Wow. I took out the people I had on ignore and now it blocks the whole forum. lol.

As for blocking the whole forum, that's a new one. LMAO |

You are a man among posters, Mr. Simplex3. May the Muse of Spontaneous Ejaculation take up housekeeping in your boxers.

LMAO Christ. You could get paid for some of this stuff. |
Does this work anymore? I clicked the link but there is no download option.
|
I'm looking forward to the day where I never have to see a KnowMo or Vailpass post again. If anyone could help me out here, I'd give you about 50,000 in rep returned.

You won't even see when people quote me if you put me on that ignore list. Enjoy :) |

Believe it or not, I actually clicked the link and went to download the add on, but the download didn't work because of something on their end.
|
Oh. I have it installed but I don't use the ignore feature. I just use it to highlight my posts so I can find them easily or to see if someone has quoted me.
