Herm's Press Conference

Herm:

Injuries: Welsey and Sapp had "head deals" Edwards- hamstring, Niswanger -knee, Huard, hand. Don't know how bad Donnie is

obviously dissappointing, playing into 3rd q. they made a couple of big plays,

we can't score points we sputtered

banyon 12-02-2007 03:19 PM

Reporter: Jared Touchdown, how did that work?

Herm: When you're desparate you do desparate things.

Hammock Parties 12-02-2007 03:19 PM

Bla bla bla, I suck, players will soon quit on me.

Will soon? They quit on him weeks ago.

Thig Lyfe 12-02-2007 03:20 PM

Turnovers are always never good.

banyon 12-02-2007 03:21 PM

Herm: they score off turnovers

Covitz: Is his hand good can he go next week?

Herm : I don't want to say that, Thigpen did pretty good.

Obviously

banyon 12-02-2007 03:24 PM

Teicher: why did it work in the games where we won and not today?

Herm: we made plays.

(wow, great dialogue!)

Teicher: did it seem like you were down 4 or 5 tD's LMAO

Herm: No we just couldn't make the plays. The FG range was at the 20 :spock:

Covitz: Did you miss Donnie?

Herm: we had some young guys in there, but it always hurts when you lose good players.

Petro: How it your O-Line?

Herm: We did good in the 1st Half, but they started missing blocks and assignments in the second half. They got beat in 1 on 1 matchups. We can't get behind.

Petro: can you overhaul the O-Line in the offseason?

Herm: Wehaveto play with the players we have.

banyon 12-02-2007 03:25 PM

Petro: long TD inthe 1st Jackson, what was the break down?

Herm: they made the play. we didn't. (great answer reerun).

Harsh reality is - IT IS. What in the shit can you blame coaching for in this game?

Can't block, can't throw, can't catch, can't tackle, can't cover.

We are AWFUL.

Well coached teams execute on both sides of the ball.

We don't execute anything but ourselves.

Hammock Parties 12-02-2007 03:30 PM

Seriously. The whole "we don't make plays" is a total cop out.

Because he's the coach. One thing i have noticed he does NOT take blame for ANYTHING. Nothing at all.

I hope they quit on Herm and get his ass ran out of town...

At some point you have to actually coach the team and be held accountable for your coach abilities.

They have already quit on him. They quit on him last year. They play inspired now for like a half, then they realize its going to be more of the same, and they give up again.

Herm blamed the players in the interview with Mitch and Lenny, as well. But here's the good news!!

Herm said that, after all this bad stuff, there will be good stuff. That it's hard right now, but he's here to build something and, when he's done, we'll be happy!!!!

FAX 12-02-2007 03:43 PM

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day
A way!

JARED ALLEN KICKS ASS!!!!

When asked by Lenny what he's going to do, he said (paraphrasing), "I can't tell anybody else what to do, but I'm going back into the gym tomorrow and work harder. I have to play better and do more to help our team win. I've never lost this many games in a row and I've got to step it up."

Herm should count his lucky stars this guy is on his team.

I'm not sure which quote you're referring to, Mr. banyon, but I assume it was something like "We suck now and we'll never get any better."

Lenny or Mitch asked Herm about "rebuilding" or "challenges" or some such and Herm just said that it's bad now, but he came here knowing what the challenge was and that it's hard for the team and for the fans right now, but that things would turn around and we would be pleased.

THe D is weaker than thought. It will have to be improved along with the O. This could be a couple of 3 years of this kind of misery.
Pollard is slow and out of position. It is a shame, but Wesley still shows he is the best safety on the team. The future is way off and hopefully Herm is not in it.

Yeah, Mr. King_Chief_Fan. Were it not for JA, this defense would not be very good at all.

We have to face facts. The defense is average to poor with aging players at key positions. We have to replace 4 starters on the oline. We need to develop a QB.

At this point, it's a four or five year rebuild at best. Unless [homer voice in head whispering again] we can find some JA-like surprises in the draft and Croyle really is the deal.
