We should try to find a turf field just in case it's a little muddy - that way we can still play. I wonder if they'll allow pickup games on any of the turf fields in the area.

I'm surprised any of them allow you to use their fields. It looks like 100% liability on their part in case of injury.

We play on turf for my other games. It is no different them playing on the dirt or someone hurting themselves that runs around their track.

I'd think they would be 100% liable for anyone getting hurt on their property, turf, dirt or track. They must have good insurance. Or they don't know it is going on. The local HS here keeps their field locked up.

I'd play in anything. I'd prefer not to play because I'm thinking we'd get a lot of last minute no shows. I'm game if I'm able to (cousin situation).

I've played in a snowball softball tourney last year when the high was in the teens & a routing fly ball lands in the middle of the outfield it bounces over the fences 30 yards away.

I've gotten email from RJ saying he's in no matter how cold it is, too. So we'll have players there. I just don't want to play in cold slop.

The slop is the biggest issue. Cold and snow be damned.

I may not have a way to get there. I absolutely cannot drive my car in the snow (like, can't get out of the driveway can't drive it) and my wife will have the SUV on Saturday so she can get out and do Christmas shopping.

We'll see.

The roads will be fine by then. Jeesh.

My weather thing is showing snow all the time between now and tomorrow night. It's not the roads I'm concerned about as much as actually getting in and out of my driveway.

Temps between 24-32 and slick conditions makes me a no go... my friends were out before me, but I thought I would still go... but with the conditiond getting worse, it will not be worth it... sorry... I am not one to commit and not show... but these circumstances dictate it...
