How could King Carl sit there in front of the media and promise the fans no ticket price increases? And then post a price increase the next day?:cuss:

Most upper deck went down. All Club went up. Sideline lower went up, endzone lower stayed same.

I can tell you that the "lower" upper level seats stayed the same.

They now call it Red Select, and tickets are $78.

Looks like the rest of the upper level was reduced in price.

So, I suppose it all depends on how Carl defines "tremendous number" then, eh?

I don't remember lower seats in the upper level being $83 either.

Meanwhile, the corners of the upper level that were empty all year went down to $44.

The $83 figure is if you bought from the Box Office, which you can't readily do for those seats anyway.

So, a $3.50 increase per game, per ticket.

Did they go up the year before?

Not saying it's right, because it's not, but my Upper Box seats increased the same $3.50 LAST year.

My seats have went up every year since I've been a season ticket holder except for 2002 when they froze prices.

I'm in section 109. I went and checked last years invoice on kcchiefs.com to make sure. It went up $35.00 a ticket from that invoice.

They were the cheapest seats in the house. They were considered obstructed view seats because of the goal posts.

Kansas City Chiefs Announce Rescaled Ticket Pricing for 2008

Over 20,000 Seats Decrease in Price

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that a significant rescaling of Arrowhead stadium ticket prices will take place for the 2008 season. The new pricing structure includes a decrease in ticket prices for the majority of upper-level seating.

The Chiefs also announced a moderate increase in ticket prices for prime seating location, however, the average overall ticket price for the 2008 season will remain flat. There will be no increase in parking prices.

The most inexpensive seat in the stadium will be $39 per game when purchased as a season ticket, compared to $49 in 2007. The number of seats available in this price category will increase to nearly 5,000 seats, compared to last year’s 1,700 seats. Additionally, season ticket holders in the upper reserve area will notice a ticket decrease to $59 per game.

In total for 2008, over 20,000 seats at Arrowhead will go on sale for a lower price than last year. The Chiefs’ decision to build this new pricing model was in response to fan feedback, and sets the stage for the future in the New Arrowhead, which will be completed in 2010.

The Chiefs – as part of a program instituted last season – will continue to provide season ticket holders with more favorable pricing than fans who choose to buy single-game tickets. Pre-Sale Opportunities
There are plenty of other perks that come with being a season ticket holder. In 2008, those advantages include pre-sale opportunities for the second annual MU/KU Border Showdown on November 29th, the Big 12 Championship Game on December 6th, and the return of the Northwest Missouri State vs. Pittsburg State Fall Classic on October 4th.

Fans Give Back
The Kansas City Chiefs and Ticketmaster are teaming up with Chiefs fans to give back to the community through the donation of tickets to the team’s home games. By donating pre-purchased Chiefs tickets or by purchasing them for the purpose of donating them, ticket holders have an opportunity to pass them along to underprivileged youth from Big Brothers/Big Sisters or to a member of our Armed Forces. The specific charity will issue a receipt for the value of the tickets for tax purposes. For those who receive donated tickets, the Chiefs and the stadium’s concessionaires – including Centerplate and Levy Restaurants – will provide a complimentary small soda and hot dog. Season Ticket Holder 2008 “Perfect Attendance” Award
The Chiefs will honor all season ticket holders who utilize their tickets for all 2008 home games with a Perfect Attendance Award. The award will be in the form of a commemorative ball cap remembering Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt. The cap will not be sold in fan stands and will be a limited edition available only to season ticket holders in 2008.

Renovation Kick-off
This year also marks the opening days of the transition to the New Arrowhead, which by 2010 will offer new features and amenities that will be available to everyone, no matter where they sit. Wide-open concourses on all three levels will allow fans quicker and easier access to concessions and seating areas. Plans call for twice as many concession areas. More space means more food, beverage, and merchandise choices. A Hall of Honor worthy of the team’s history will paint a complete picture of the franchise’s proud past for all who visit the New Arrowhead. The new game day experience also will include an upgrade of the in-stadium sound and video systems. This may be first year they have done a STH reward across the board but they have had some things they have done in the past. As I recall we recieved some nice thank you stuff for our 25 year and occasionally we have recieved other items.

Free cap, all you have to do is pay us a couple thousand for tickets, and don't skip any games (I'm assuming this means preseason too), keep showing up and paying us for parking and concessions.

My lower level seats did not go up. We have aisle seats and the seats across the aisle went up $5 per.

It's been a long long time since I went to a game.

They scan the tickets with a barcode reader now when you go into the game. I'm assuming this means the have the capability to know who showed up and who didn't.

Yep I have met both of them before and that fits them pretty well. Kind of sucks bc some of the people below them are some of the nicest people you will meet.

I actually like this change. They raised the LL ticket prices and lowered UL ticket prices for a net change of zero. I've thought for years they should do this. Demand for LL seats is much higher than the nosebleeds. Seems pretty fair to me.

I'm on record as saying the third year would be a defining point of Herm's stay here. While some could technically argue that it's his first year of having complete control, I at least know we're gonna see young players ACTUALLY PLAY.

If for some reason the schedule is released and we've lost a home game, the organization will credit our account.

Keep in mind, the schedule won't be released until after we've paid 3/4 of our invoice.

In 2010 what do you think the club level seats are going to go for? How much for a season ticket per seat?

Even though I will be renewing my tickets you will be able to jump in front of me for the club seats. I want no part of having my gameday experience ruined by the wine and cheese crowd.

I tailgate in the lot. I stand up and cheer for my team. These are foregin concepts for those club level fans.

Accorfing to Frank Boahl, Club Level will be $200.00 in '10 and LL will be priced accordingly at $175.00! ROFL

They'll probably put on a 3rd home preseason game featuring the chiefs vs. the practice squad. That way they can keep our money.
